Hello,
I have tried installing different roms in my MI 8 lite, and it seems they all work fine, except the camera and the youtube app simply don't work. In every single rom those two weren't working. The camera apps don't seem to be able to access the camera and also youtube app, for a strange reason, doesn't work as well. I've tried flashing mi 8 global version and these two still don't work.
Any ideas of what might be the problem?

Hi!
I have one question.
I tested CyanogenMOD 9 RC1 by maclaw ROM, but the camera app still not totally works.
I tried with others camera apps and this apps gave crash error.
Exist another way to can to use the camera with more functions??
I guess the RC version is a near final version is a release candidate, so I think that the camera should work a little better, or otherwise should still be in Beta.
Exist another way to use a camera with apps like instagram, hdr camera etc??
Sorry for my english.
Greetings
Well..
The camera works only for taking pictures.
Without them open max drivers, we can't get video recording.
I was browsing the forums. and there are a number of ics roms for other devices.
They don't have video camera but they are RC.
Try any fingersoft camera app, i've heard they work.
same here. camera not work at all i try install other camera apps, still not work
Hi,
I have an HTC Vivid running albinoman887's CM11 4/24/14 nightly, and the 4/26a PA GApps. Everything seems to run smoothly except for the fact that the latest Google Camera update force closes, so I cannot use that app at all to take pictures or shoot video. I haven't yet found a way to revert to the older version so on a side note if someone can point me to that APK I'd be greatly appreciative.
At any rate, other camera apps like A Better Camera and CameraMX do a great job of taking still photos, but neither one will invoke the video recording function. I have updated to the latest nightly of both CM11 and PA GApps, and the reason why I'm on the older versions is because the newer builds caused problems, so I clean flashed back to the older ones.
I downloaded a couple of diagnostic apps and neither one seems to indicate the presence of video recording function. I don't know if that's normal for those apps or if there's some damaged hardware involved. I don't want to go all the way back to stock to test that theory, so if anyone has had any similar problems or has some insight to offer, I'd really appreciate it. The lack of video recording is not a backbreaker for me, but it's one of those minor annoyances that I absolutely hate - kind of like a wart. TIA for any help you can offer.

Yeah, I had the same problem with video on the older nightlies. I am now on 5/7 build and video works great using any of several different cameras.
Everytime I record a video and swap between filters the video just freezes, I tried to use old version even beta version also but nothing worked?
Anyone have same problem?
Back in the days I had snapchat I don't really recall having such a problem. Anyway, snapchat for android is pure crap, it's badly optimized etc. so don't expect too much out of this app.
I can't record videos on my phone because the video mode just crashes ANXCamera. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm using pixel experience rom.

I've only recorded 1 video but that worked fine and didn't crash anything. crDroid with ANX 139 :good:
You may try just flash another region`s Vendor.(This works fine for me when I`m using Chinese firmware the ANXCamera crashs in video and after flash Global , IT WORKS)
I'm having a strange issue where no videos, either taken myself or downloaded from elsewhere, will play in the Huawei Gallery app. They all play correctly in Google Photos and when sent to other people.
I've reset the Gallery app data twice and tried various video formats and none play. It simply kicks me back to the previous screen (camera if trying to view straight after recording or Gallery main screen if trying to access via gallery).
I'm not sure when this issue started but it's not always happened and didn't start as soon as I upgraded to EMUI 10.
P30 Pro VOG-L29 all stock on EMUI 10.0.0 with all updates installed.
Any help is appreciated,
Luke.
Edit: an example of what happens after recording & trying to view. https://photos.app.goo.gl/EZWGCqtkkk7LprjL8
Din you uninstall Huawei's native video app?
(com.huawei.himovie)
If yes, that's the problem.
Reinstall it via adb.
I don't remember doing so but it appears I have uninstalled it; where is best to get the APK to use?
EDIT: disregard the above question; quick Google for the full path took me to the play store which showed HUAWEI Video as still installed. Uninstalled it which takes it back to factory settings and this fixed it. Re-updated the app via Google play then via in app prompts and it stops working so it seems to be an issue with the update.
