Does Mi 8 Global Version NFC work with GPay (Android Pay)? I'm in the UK.
Good question, does it?
Google Pay won't work with an offical xiaomi rom neither official global stable nor china stable or beta and so on ...
This is due to xiaomi's roms doesnt support google pay in their roms.
You'll need a costum rom that offically support google pay like xiaomi.eu.
I'm using xiaomi.eu beta on my Mi8 and i can confirm it works great with this rom in Germany even with magisk root.
Global beta wont work
I tried to use GPay in Germany with official Global MI8. It seems to work, but my financial institution doesn't support this nice feature
Can someone confirm or not that it will work _safetynet pass_ with global rom and Magisk hide enabled ?

Will be really surprised if it doesn't work. Mi 6 with global ROM works perfectly fine for GPay.
Will try out with a Mi 8 next week for GPay and update you whether it works or not.
Google Pay and nfc both work on the global stable (OEAMIFD) version 9.6.7

Which bank card does it work for you?
I get the following error message (Visa -DKB):
Pay could not be activated because the phone was rooted or changed in a similar way

Hello my p20 pro current version is the CLT-L09 8.1.0.131 (C782). It is single sim and based in Europe. I was told that I could download Huawei firmware finder on playstore and see if there's any update for me.
So the newer ones that are out are .132 and .133 but it was shown that my emui version is not supported. Is it still possible for me to manually update my phone? And the update is 3gb big. Why does it take so much space?
As far as I know the latest version is something like .152 but only available for dual SIM phones if I'm not mistaken. Man.. I really want to latest version because ppl say it's much smoother than the older versions. Does anyone know what is in the .133 version? Are there .134-149 or is it just a leap from .133 to 1.51?
error you are getting is that app isn't compatible for p20 series yet, so that means if you try to run a update from app it would mostlikely fail, since of compatible issues.
You can flash newer copy but it could affect on something i think idk exactly what atm.
Im hearing reports that Harmony OS can easily run GMS with no issues, can anyone confirm this?
Haven't heard of this would love too though!

Probably, we are going to need to wait until the non domestic beta... If I'm not mistaken in the domestic version of emui 11 there is no problem with installing GMS, but in the international it's not possible.

You can't. HarmonyOS is only for China models with no release plan or dates announced for the rest of the world.
Hey guys. I have a MatePad Pro (the original one which was released in 2019), which I have purchased during my trip to China.
I had converted it to GMS first thing when I unpacked the device using Googlefier.
Yesterday I updated to Harmony OS and the GMS is still working perfectly fine. I was able to open Google Play, install apps, etc. same as before, zero issues.
So if you already have GMS installed on your phone / tablet, you can continue using it after updating to harmonyOS.
I hope this helps
i just had my mate20 pro updated to harmony os, and all my previously intalled gsm apps works perfectly fine. been testing the apps and didnt have any errors so far.

Can you actually INSTALL the GMS on a device running Harmony OS or can you only CONTINUE USING previously installed GMS apps?

Hello, my brother has the Redmi Note 9 with NFC that in the MIUI version this appears
MIUI 12.5.6, so I download the MIUI 13 updater from the Play Store (early access) to force the update (as I did in another without NFC) and it turns out that the application tells me that it already has MIUI 13... and then I can't update it....
I can't think of what to do to fix it..., with other applications to update they tell me the same thing.....
Maybe you have a branded version, wehre an update may (not yet) be possible.

So, if I download the update package from the xiaomi page and put it in the mobile, it won't work?
Maybe you'll first have to debrand the phone, since the update could be blocked by your provider.
(Some providers use their "special" version of the offical firmware, which may have restrictions or other software modifications. Those modifications take time, therefore the provider's update come always with significant delays to the manufacturers version)
Hello,
I've read a bit and it seems possible to move from ColorOS to OxygenOS by flashing. What are the pro and cons with that ?
I recently bought a One Plus 10 Pro out of black friday deal. And I did a bit of a mess and bought an CN version.
Can I managed to be "fully stock" on a EU version coming from this CN hardware ? Having Android Pay working, safety net etc... ? and OTA updates normally ?
Or is it just simply impossible and i should cancel my order and get an EU version ASAP ?
Thanks
You can flash to oxygen os and everything work fine.
