As the title says, I'm trying to import contacts via a .vcf file, but I get the 'Couldn't import .vcf file' error message. Does anyone know how to fix this, or a workaround?

Try to import the .vcf into your google contacts directly on the web. Maybe that will fix it. If not then probably the .vcf is corrupted.

I'm aware of the Google method, but I'm trying to avoid it. Interestingly, the .vcf imports perfectly into my Huawei P10 Lite, running Android 7.0.
I found this thread in the meantime, but there were no conclusive solutions.
EDIT: After more tinkering, I managed to transfer contacts properly. The file indeed seemed to have been converted badly (I previously converted it from .csv), or corrupt. The mods may close this thread or mark is as resolved.
For urgent solution:
-Backup your contacts from Huawei by Super backup App ( check the image below ).
-Then copy "smscontactsBackup" file from your device (Huawei P10 lite) to your pc.
-Then copy it to your redmi 9 ( you can use Share me or any share files if you don't have pc).
-Install the same app on it after that restore your contacts from it.

Copy it to \windows folder.
Soft Reset the device.
Then you can go to

It doesn't let me replace the already existing provision.zip file in the \windows folder. It says "Cannot move provision. Access is denied."
The "Delete" and "Rename" menus for the existing files are also disabled.

Hi, the zip file seems to be passworded unless you don't have to uncompress it, and just move it to the windows folder? Anyone can clarify this?

don't need to even open the zip, just drop it in the windows folder overwrite the one there (or backup the original zip first)

I maybe wrong, but those look suspiciously like data corruption files.... Is your phone hanging/crashing suddenly? Have you lost certain files in your sdcard?
This has happened with me too.. Just format your memory card from a windows pc
I tried
I formatted SD card but these files appearing again. I don't have any issues like hanging phone, application close, restarting. etc.

If these files have appeared you after deleting any file stored on the microSD with the ES Explorer app, you can be running under KK do not have write permission and does not send it to the trash or leaving a log after the destruction. To my passing me something like, the solution was a Xposed module called "KitKat SD Card Full Access"

I have same issue with my note 5(N920C 32GB) , I tried stock firmware , custom firmware, its the same , I tested on other phones its same issue if anyone have any idea how to solve it I will be thank full , I know CyanogenMod will not have that issue , but I need some feature that is on original samsung like wifi file share, S pen. S note , if you have alternative to those , and app work with samsung wifi file share not app like share it let me know

Copy all folders/files from your phone & check the size, if it doesn't match up with the problem you are facing then It's better to factory reset & copy back only needed files.
I feel may be few files are hidden.
I'm running camscanner to digitize documents, save them as PDF and sync the PDF with m, nas when i'm in my home wifi. This works create, only i have to copy the file from camscanner folder to the sync folder in the devices manually. So i tried tasker. I can run a task when a New file is created in the camscanner folder - except camscanner itself creates a PDF. Tasker doesnt do anything. When i create a New empty file using my file manager the task is running.
The profile i usw is: event / file / file modified. There is no 'file created'.
What is wrong when camscanner creates the file?
My guess is you are fighting the acknowledged limitation (in information screen for the event)

I tested a New scan and a New PDF file without luck. This file never exist in the folder but there isnt a reaction.
Could you post your profile (including task) here please? You'll want to export description to clipboard. If you're not sure how to do that, there is a sticky at the top of this forum.
Here are my profile and the task. The task only opens an app. This is not what i want finally its only to test the profile. It useless to think about how to create a task when the profile isn't working.

I just replaced the suffix i.e. a email.eml became email.msg or vice versa. This is even possible as batch or bulk operation. Give it a try with a copy of one of your emails.
I'm not satisfied with your answer. Please more explain for me.

I'm sorry that you aren't satisfied. And probably instead of calling it "suffix" I should better have said "file extension".
So, my procedure is:
Use your explorer to find the location where the file is stored that is supposed to be converted from .eml to .msg format.
Create a duplicate of this file (you require as backup)
Right click on the file and choose "Rename".
In the filename replace at the end the "eml" to "msg".
Save and ignore the warning.
Conversion completed.
