Cannot install Magisk. Android 11 Magisk version 20.4 (20400) - Magisk

Android version: 11
Phone: Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition
Soft version: 20.9.17 dev miui.eu
I'm fighting with magisk, so first of all I installed latest Magist Manager and via Manager I download Magisk latest version (20400). Then I boot my phone into recovery mode (TWRP) and install zip with magisk. Here everything is good, magisk should be installed without problems. But when I open Magisk Manager I get error "Magisk is not installed". Also There is a problem with SafetyNet Check (ctsProfile: false).

Magisk v20.4 doesn't support A11... You need to use the Canary release or wait for the next beta/stable release.
And note that there has been issues with Magisk and A11 if you have TWRP installed. Booting TWRP without installing it has been working fine though.

So now I have installed canary version. Via magisk canary i download latest magisk version (20425) and install it via TWRP and now it looks like Magisk is installed but still safetyNet check failed and also I cannot hide Magisk Manager so = I cannot still use it.

SafetyNet: https://www.didgeridoohan.com/magisk/MagiskHide#hn_SafetyNet
And you need to be more detailed if you want help. What doesn't work about hiding the Manager? Also: https://www.didgeridoohan.com/magisk/Magisk#hn_Cant_hide_the_Magisk_Manager

Just install latest TWRP 3.2.3 from this thread, and choose Install Root in TWRP, it will instal Magisk 16.6 and working fine with both Android 8.1 and 9.0 of MIUI roms.

Then the problem is the modules you installed, not "latest Magisk update" like you stated.
Not all modules work for all devices, each device reacts to modules very differently, so boot loop caused by modules should not be mistaken for the whole Magisk.

Followed the install but phone is not rooted

What should i do/try/check when i have followed the install procedure (correctly and tried severel times) but my phone is not rooted?
LineageOS 20.0, Magisk 23.0
Use magisk 25.2? Did you direct install?
Yeah, well. I need magiks-hide so 23.0 is the latest i can use. Not sure what direct install means, i downloaded the boot.img, install magisk into it using the app, and then did the fastboot flash-thingy.

Use magisk delta. It has magisk hide, and a lot more on the latest magisk.
Great, where can i find this magisk delta?

Yeah well, that does not look like it is matured software: no explaination what magisk delta is, where magisk delta is different from normal magisk, no details on how to install, etc.
Not sure that i want to brick my phone with this tool.

Lmao. Look at its Xda thread. Much better alternative. Has material you, bootloops protection, system installation, different ways to load zygote, sulist, magisk hid, etc, etc. Its like magisk on steroids, while being twice as reliable.

How do you mean "the same way"?
I mean with magisk, i unzip the boot.img, patch it using the magisk app and then fastboot flash it on the device. But sure i can not use the magisk app to patch Magisk Delta into the boot.img, right?
So, is there a magisk delta app somewhere that does the patching?

Yes. On the GitHub. You can also flash thru twrp. Use previous links I sent.
Just install the magisk delta app and got it all working. The MD app even recognised the existing magisk kernel and offered to do a direct install.
Very happy and thank you for all the support. Will make a donation soon.
lol tried the magisk delta and flashed the .img but in boot loop now.on moto g play 2023.. so maybe no support for that yet.. reflashed original patched boot.img and back
Same here. Direct installed Magisk Delta. But after restart phone become non rooted, unable to prompt magisk. But only magisk delta able to hide the root from banking apps. It is quite irritating. Did you figured anyway on this issue?
Hey Victorlmy i had to flash the original magisk patched file back to get it to boot again... hold the volume down and power buttons till you get it to boot to bootloader and reflash.. still tring to figure out why it didnt boot

Magisk 26.1 won't install

Since upgrading LineageOS on my Moto G7 to Android 13 and Magisk to 25.2 I had to reinstall patched boot.img after every update. It was a bit of a PITA, but not painful enough to google if there's a solution for Magisk to survive the LineageOS update, like it did before. It worked just well enough for me.
After today's LineageOS update I was going to do all the usual stuff: download boot.img, patch, fastboot, flash and done. But there was an info about the new Magisk version. Updated to 26.1, patched my boot.img, rebooted to fastboot, flashed the patched image. But after the restart Magisk says it's not installed. I tried 2 more times, then downgraded Magisk back to 25.2, but it doesn't work any more - nothing happens after patching and flashing the patched image.
I checked the Magisk installation instruction, but there's nothing about changes in 26.1 What can I do to get Magisk work again?
Debug app did what regular Magisk could not:
Uninstalled Magisk app. Flashed the stock boot image. Installed Magisk debug app and patched boot.img. Flashed the patched file. Opened the debug app and finished the installation. Updated Magisk app and Magisk. It works now.
I have no idea why did the debug version succeed, where the regular one failed, but I'm happy it did
For me on Samsung S7 9.0 Pie NFE 2.2, after flashing the Rom clean, after configuring the phone, I go to TWRP and upload Magisk_26.1.zip and every time in the Magisk app it says "root is not installed" . I tried several times and each time the same, I found a solution, after flashing the NFE Rom clean, phone configuration, then installs the Magisk_26.1.apk application on the phone (I do not open Magisk), then I change Magisk_26.1.apk to Magisk_26.1.zip, go to TWRP and install the Magisk zip file, reboot and ? "root Magisk installed"
I can't find the debug version of the app. Where is it?

@da.killa I looked everywhere in the current Magisk GitHub Repo, but could not finde the debug version as an .apk file.
Could you share the direct Link to the Debug App?

Thank you so much! Sorry I didn't see it before.
And I can also confirm that using the Magisk debug app solves the problem. It worked for me on OnePlus 6 running LineageOS.
