Hello everybody,
just started a temporary sale for NFC ReTag PRO...
Use any NFC tag (write protected and re-writable) to trigger multiple functions on your device!
You can use this app to associate multiple functions (e.g. toggle Wlan, Bluetooth, Mobile Data, Airplane mode, start navigation, run Tasker task, launch any installed app, use media buttons, call a phone number, add a timestamp, calendar entry and many more) to a specific NFC Tag via an app internal database.

Text to speech bug
Hi all,
I've come across a weird bug that once i have run the "speak current time" actions under the labs section, my phone continues to speak the time for other various actions (eg opening/closing folders, setting the alarm etc).
So far there seems to be no way of stopping it, even killing the Google text to speech service does nothing.
Anyone else with this problem or any solutions?
Regards
G

Hi G,
received your e-mail and replied this via e-mail a couple of minutes ago ...
Hi Gene,
No, you are the first reporting this. There is no Retag background service which could cause this and NFC Retag doesn´t change a TexttoSpeech setting, therefore I would say it´s not related, but stranger things had happen.
First thing I thought, it´s probably related to the CAR Mode ... a lot of devices speak a lot of things (Sms received, folder opened etc. ) while in car mode..annoying and mostly unexpected ... the first time it happen to me, I was completely clueless what was causing this and how to disable.. So please check if the car mode is enabled.
Second thought was the Standard Android Accessibility feature, please check under Settings--> Accessibility that the TalkBack option is disabled (provides spoken feedback for blind users ).
If this doesn´t help, reboot your device and please check again...If the issue still occurs, could you please give us some more details (device, firmware version, etc.) and if possible a log file, so we could analyze this in detail?

Hi ascsa,
Thanks i got your email. Great to see such quick response from developers. I wasn't expecting it, hence the post here as well.
Just to clarify for any other readers, i'll repeat what i sent in my reply email to you.
Driving mode and talkback are disabled on my device.
I found a temporary fix by clearing the data from Application Management->All->Google text to speech service, but it then randomly starts again at a later time. I think the fault may lay more with Android than any app as there are a couple of other applications out there having the same issue. Something about Android calling the wrong service (text to speech) when various apps are started.
For your and others information, my device is a Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300T Android 4.1.2 Stock Vodafone AU ROM, rooted. Baseband I9300TDUELL2.
Cheers

No Problem ... ... but let´s move to the official support thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1477138&page=100) ...because this is an old thread ...NFC Retag PRO is currently NOT on sale ... and we shouldn´t confuse the users ...
Just to clarify for any other readers, my e-mail answer to your last post :
The Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 (international model) is one of our main testing devices. Not sure if, there is a problem with the Vodafone Rom or the Australian T model, but it´s working fine here on 4.1.2.
Had a short look at our code and the official api and everything seems fine ... but without a log file or better a device on which we could reproduce the error it´s nearly impossible to be sure ...However, you mentioned it happens with other apps, too , so I would bet on some Vodafone "enhancements" ...
Btw. have you tried the Samsung TTS engine (settings--> language& input -->text-to-speech output--> preferred engine) instead of the Google engine?
I notice there are several versions of tasker. Which do I need?

So the finial version has come out. Im sure a lot of you guys have updated to it. Plus a lot of you have been using the Dev version along the way.
What are your guys thoughts?
I like the the new version but also there are still tons of things are are bugging the *poop* out of me.
I thought this was going to be "THE" version that appeased almost all android fans. Fixed a lot the issues since 2.3 while bringing a lot of new features.
1st the things i dont like.
1. Battery % WHY THE *heck* do we still not have an option to turn on a battery % next to the battery icon?????!!!!!!!
2. Hangouts picture (when syncing with FB) not always showing up bug is still present.
3. I like the new light colors with white and grey but why did they choose that color of teal. Im not super excited about that but i do like the white backgrounds.
4. Multitask menu. I dont like how EVERYTHING is in there. And why do we STILL NOT HAVE A CLEAR ALL
5. Google Now launcher. I like it and dont like it. Dont like how everything is so big and dont like how i cant have the middle space be my default. But Nova fixed that. Plus im rooted so i changed my DPI
6. Battery life. Ive only used it for 1 day (going on 1 day) but it seems my battery life is worse then on 4.4.4
7. Battery menu. Dont like anything about it.
Things i do like.
1. Material design (in most places) animations and universal layout for apps is nice.
2. Lockscreen notifications although i dont like how EVERYTHING is on there but im still messing with the menu for this feature.
Im still playing with it and im sure it will get better as apps update (what took them so long) but over all im kinda disappointed with the amount of hype 5.0 got.
Same here, like it but meh it's not there yet, hoping for apps updates etc. And my battery life is slightly worse too
I like it so far, but smart lock seems buggy as hell. I've got my Moto 360 set up as a trusted device, and even went so far as to set up face unlock, and still, I'm prompted for a passcode more often than not. There really needs to be a rescan option -- or, better yet, just make it work like it's supposed to.
Battery life seems worse for me too but I will give it another few days before really making that decision
Make sure you turn WiFi always scanning off. I am getting better than the Dev preview because of the fixed WiFi drain bug. I like it though.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Free mobile app
You cant know anything about battery one day after update, after update system still need some time to "sit on place" and its drains battery.
Where is material design music. Sadly it doesn't animate when I press the play button. I really like what was was shown in the demo .

I have my moto 360 set up as a trusted device and I never need to unlock my phone. Only on reboot. rest of the time works perfectly.
Im not using face unlock though.
hmmm...
i don't like how you'not able to delete multiple contacts + separation of the phone numbers from the emails.
photos app gather all the jpg files that are in the sdcard which kinda sucks (dude, i don't need my album art in my photo gallery.) + you need Google+ enabled to be able to just look at the photos.
multitask is OMG.... really really nice effect but damn, is there any real need to "mark" every menu page i open? (oh, where's the "clear all" button?)
camera is ok but there is no 0.03 seconds of the new API. pictures are taken as slow as before.
material design is not bad but it shines on multiple layers only.
keyboard is really cool looking and although it'll take some time to get used to "button-less buttons" i do like it.
and battery, well, i can't say since it's only 1 day of use.
still, i think it's going to be ok (i still hate those wakelocks though... ) and last but not least, Chrome... i still miss "text wrapping" that's why i use Opera
all in all, i don't hate it, i'm not thrilled about it but i'm sure it'll "grow on me".
UI looks definitely great, performance and battery haven't improved, nor got worse. But it's too early to comment on that.
No toggle in quick settings to cycle through sound modes(sound/silent,vibrate), dafuq Google? I'm certainly missing Xposed.
very annoyed about the removal of the stock email app, i dont want to comingle gmail and my work stuff.

I really like having all my emails in gmail app. First day of use, I'm going to get 4hrs sot without messing with settings. It runs really smooth with hells kernel. I would like the pull downs yo have more options, but all in all, I'm happy.

I haven't had to enter my PIN once since I set up smart lock with my 360 and face yesterday. Works great!
You can't use the Photos app if you disable the Google+ app. So.... now I have to open the camera app and scroll through my pictures one by one to view them. Super!
I kinda don't like it.
1: The color scheme is not consistent throughout, which really irritates me. While you spend most of your time in a launcher (I use Nova pesonally) or in apps, some of those apps are system apps, and it seems like almost all of them have had color changes, they don't look good and don't even make sense.
2: Some of the features are cool, and even sound great...but they are commonly riddled with "omg, no way!" points of frustration. Smart-lock...would be AWESOME if it would just freaking work when connected to a specific wifi network! For example...in prior versions I had used tasker and secure settings to disable the lock screen and have a significantly longer screen timeout whenever I was connected to my home wifi. Tasker works just fine for the other things I use it for, such as reading my text messages outloud...but only when I'm connected to my home wifi or headphones. But the pin lock errors out, every single time. Root works, tasker and secure settings are configured exactly as they were before, and they both even have administrative rights. It still fails every time, and I get the toast message pop up. I wonder if it is because Google is worried that your neighbor might name their wifi network to the same as yours is, and have it be an open network so when they steal your phone they would automatically be able to get into it. If that is the case...well, that should be easy to fix, one make the service only work with password protected networks, and I'm also sure they could just only have it work when the network name is also reporting the same mac address. But I digress.
3: Lightflow. Ugh, enough said. You might say this is not a lollipop specific thing, but the guy posted an inquiry on this on the support thread since it was an complication with the new notification system, and they responded back saying they fixed it, and it has still not been pushed out by Google yet!
4: I find myself unable to quickly remove notifications from the lock screen and even when the phone is unlocked in some instances. For example, if I am copying lots of individual files over wifi from my computer, and there are multiple "copied" notifications as a result, the first few can be swiped away, but the rest can't! I have to click on them, and then close it. Kinda annoying.
5: One of the only reasons why I really wanted Lollipop were for the improvements to the lockscreen notifications. I envisioned being able to stop using dashclock entirely, and also having an all around easier time with notifications while the phone was locked. Nope! Sure, the basic functionality is good, I can read text messages without an app for it, and that's great...but I have to say I really miss having the unlock ability from just turning the phone on and swiping. Now I have to turn the phone on, press the padlock to get the phone to switch to the pattern lock, then do the pattern lock. That extra step is really quite annoying for me. I'd prefer to have the "extra step" be to SEE THE NOTIFICATIONS. You know, just like how it used to be with dashclock. (You would know you had a notification by the little icon right next to the time and you would swipe down from there to read them) Maybe I'm crazy, but I unlock my phone a lot more often than I have notifications to read. Especially since I can't get the pinlock automatic toggle to work when I am connected to my home wifi!
6: Most lock screen icons are blocked...and for good reason. But some of them are not. For example, in power toggles I have always used an icon that automatically makes a 14 minute timer, and another one for 29 minutes. I use this for my breaks at work of course. (The icon triggers a task in the "Trigger" app that does this) This works from the lockscreen...which sounds great because I can set that timer without having to unlock my phone...but it has also been deactivated by mistake when the phone was in my pocket. Ugh!
7: I don't like the "swipe down" from either the lock screen or from notifications bar option. A lot of this is because I am really used to using powertoggles for this, and this duplicates a lot of that functionality, but
I knew this was going to happen, I have been complaining about software "improvements" at work for the last year and a half. If something is working, don't break it!

Yeah, I've figured out the issue. I use "Gravity Screen" to shut my device down when I put it in my pocket. It seems that if Gravity Screen puts the device into standby, it also locks the screen in such a way that Smart Lock is disabled. Since that's normally how I shut off my device, I was seeing this almost every time. I'm hoping that the dev can fix this, because I'm really not used to touching my power button.
On another note. I wouldn't mind the email integration with Gmail, except that there's no way to label my various Exchange accounts. I have two separate Exchange accounts that I must monitor, and both simply show as a random-colored circle with a letter "J" (which is the first letter of each email address). I can't even change the color to something that would help distinguish the accounts. I just have to remember that random-color-J #1 equals one account, and random-color-J #2 equals another. It's very annoying. A combined inbox certainly wouldn't hurt, either.
(for the direct question, see the last paragraph)
Hello,
I'm currently on the stock Oxygen OS 5.0.1 ROM, but I'm having issues with push notifications not working properly or at all in some in cases. I recently switched jobs and I now NEED to have my emails, and specifically push notifications from a specific app(its called Goshare Driver), to arrive ASAP. Currently I'm not get any notifications ever from the app I need, and Gmail notifications randomly will arrive very delayed.
I've tried the following to fix the problem, with no success:
-Making sure the apps have notifications turned on
-setting the notifications for Gmail to Urgent priority
-I tried giving the apps unrestricted data access
-setting notifications to override do not disturb/making sure do not disturb was off
-turning off battery optimization for Goshare. I can't turn it off for Gmail because all the Google apps and system apps do not appear. And the battery optimization link from Gmail app info just takes me to all the apps instead of only Gmail, but again, gmail doesn't appear
-making sure advanced battery optimization is off, it was never on
-i tried completely turning off doze from the developer options menu
-i tried wiping the cache for each app
-i tried wiping the cache from the boot menu
-i tried a full factory reset
-i tried installing an app called "push notification fixer"
-i tried going to apps > special access > notification access, but it's empty
-I tried contacting OnePlus, they don't even seem to understand what the problem is and keep wasting my time telling me to do things I already directly told them I tried
-I also tested the app on my former phone, the Nexus 5. It still has stock Marshmallow, during testing the push notifications did come thru, sometimes immediately, but usually very delayed or only after I woke up the phone. I'd also get a ton of emails at once. But the testing proved it's not the app, or at least I don't think so, because I'm not getting ANY notifications EVER on the OnePlus. My guess is either the problem is the OnePlus 3T stock ROM, or Android itself.
I've heard that some custom ROMs don't have anywhere nearly as many issues as the stock ROM. I did some research and it SEEMS like the most stable/supported ROMs are from lineage OS, OmniRom, and Paranoid android. I've been out of the rooting game for while, since the galaxy nexus, so I'm not sure which to choose. What do you guys recommend is the most stable all around, and especially for notifications, work-oriented/stable ROM for the OnePlus 3T?
I don't care if its Android Oreo or Nougat or Marshmallow, I just want/NEED the most stable, working ROM. I don't really have time to do any testing, I already wasted a lot of time with the factory reset and OnePlus support. For my work I need the calling, GPS/Google Maps, push notifications, Gmail, data to work flawlessly. If you guys can give me any recommendations for which ROM to install, or if its also a waste of time and no ROM will fix this phone/OS, please let me know. From what I've heard the app I need works just fine on the iPhone, and as much as I'd hate to switch, I kinda have no choice if push notifications won't work properly on Android. Thanks in advance.
PS. If the is the wrong forum, please let me know where is the proper place to post, thanks!
After experiencing the same issues and having the same dillema as you do I can only recommend the sultanized Resurrection Remix because it ticks all the boxes. You can find it in the cross device sub forum.
It is also the only rom that got me 4 1/2 - 5 H of SOT which is for me more than enough and if you want to push it further just try xposed with greenify and see if that works out for you. And about push notifications : during my use I didn't had any issues with receiving push notifications regardless which app (Gmail, WhatsApp, Viber,.. Etc)

Hello roadrunnerx, it sounds like the app you want to use isn't optimized for current Android versions. The notification system has been changed a lot due to doze optimizations in Nougat and Oreo... check with the app developer.
Gmail notifications on 5.0.1 should be very reliable on 5.0.1 without any changes, if not necessarily 100% instant. Are you using an actual GMail account? Or third party Exchange/POP3/IMAP?
@roadrunnerx7 recently I also have been struggling with delayed Gmail notifications, but after last app update everything works as it should, mails come fast. You can check my config in the signature; it's stable and I don't experience any hangs or force closes.
You can also try to lock apps in RAM, clicking a padlock icon in recents view, maybe it could help.

And yes, I suggest downgrading, imo Nougat is the best in terms of stability
I know this is the Mi 8 forum, but I feel that the issue I have on my Mi 9 will be common across both phones, and thought I would post here too.
I've noticed that at least two apps will mysteriously stop working in the background, causing problems:
First, most important, I use my Google Voice number, not my SIM number, so I need Google Voice to be running so that it intercepts my calls and uses the right phone number to make calls. If I open Google Voice, it will work for a few hours, maybe a day, and then GV stops working and calls start going out through my SIM number.
The other app that exhibits this behavior is Garmin Connect -- my watch gives me notifications, but then, for no reason, it will stop working. Opening Garmin Connect solves the problem.
I have ensured all permissions are set as liberally as possible, even the "allow autostart" option. Not sure what else to do. Any ideas would be great. I actually didn't have the issue with my Mi 8, but I wonder if anyone has any knowledge on how this could happen on the Mi 9.
Thanks!

MIUI itself is a bit heavy on RAM, for one, and it's always been a bit aggressive on RAM management. Another thing, have you disabled MIUI's power saving functionality for those apps? I believe it only affects background push data, but I may be wrong. To configure said apps, go to Settings > Battery & performance > Choose apps and then select the apps in question and set to No Restrictions. There used to be an option to completely disable it, but that has since been removed. Another thing is to enable Developer options by tapping the MIUI version several times in the About phone section of the Settings app, then go to Additional settings > Developer options and disable MIUI optimizations. Read the prompt that pops up as I recall it mentioning something about affecting certain services.

I have set the apps in question to No Restrictions, a long time ago, but that didn't help. Today, I tried another option -- Use Adaptive Battery (Limit battery for apps that you don't use often). I turned that OFF, and it appears I've been getting alerts on my Garmin watch all day. However, I made a call and Google Voice wasn't active. I was getting excited that I'd found a cure until that happened. I'll try your suggestion in developer options and report back if it works. Thanks for that idea.
No luck -- Google Voice is still stopping, even after just a few minutes. I can't make calls on my google voice number unless I first launch Voice, then go to the phone app.

Yeah MIUI 10 + Android 9.0 are worse than previous versions of MIUI, but Google apps have issues on all devices that do not use stock or near stock Android. Have you attempted to lock the app in the task manager? Open your app, for example Google Voice, then using the task manager (App switcher), long press that app and tap the lock button. Try using the phone as you normally would and see if it helps.
@Crossvxm that's a good idea. I'll try and let you know how it goes.

All you have to to do is turn off Battery restrictions.
Also, I would suggest giving the launcher "Smart Launcher: a try. Not only is it awesome but it gives you quick access to all of the permissions, and battery optimizations. You can manage all of this from the Apps list.. Press and hold on any icon and click namage ( or the gear then manage) this is much easier then searching through the system settings for autostart, permissions, battery management etc. This is one app that is worth buying. The free version is great, but the paid version is incomparable, and I own all of the popular launchers. Smart Launcher Pro 5 is absolutely the best, and highly customizable.
My biggest issue with all AOSP roms is that the battery goes up to 105F when charging on every single AOSP rom that I have tried on the Mi8. While there is no immediate risk in the long term the battery should not get hotter than room temperature.
Back to Miui, turn off battery restrictions and you will have no issues, you also have the option of clicking the pin in recents to keep the app active.
Hi @tsongming, I've done everything possible to deactivate restrictions. I've done it the way you mentioned and other ways as well. I did try locking the app as mentioned by @Crossvxm and it might have done the trick -- will know more in a few days. I use Nova Launcher (paid version) and it has the same features you mentioned about Smart Launcher, where I can get to the settings instantly.

I did try locking the app as mentioned by @Crossvxm and it might have done the trick -- will know more in a few days. I use Nova Launcher (paid version) and it has the same features you mentioned about Smart Launcher, where I can get to the settings instantly.

I run MIUI stock 10.3.3.0 with Sphinx Kernel and root. I also use Hangouts, Google voice, and Google message without issues. It's like tsongming mentioned. Turn off the adaptive battery and remove battery restrictions on each app. Also make sure they get all permissions.
Something to note , when I used Canting Kernel, I had lots of apps turn off in background including my Fossil sport watch connection. Going back to Sphinx Kernel took care of issue, probable too aggressive memory killer in Canting. Stock Kernel might have same issue idk.
./
When I had my Mi 8, I had no issues. This seems to be something new with the 9. I've disabled adaptive battery, I've provided all permissions to the app, I've removed all power restrictions. I'm not rooted, so I can't change kernel right now. It appears that locking the app might have helped a bit, but I wish I didn't have to do it.
Seeing as there are dozens of people who are claiming issues with receiving notifications. I figured it's time to make this thread.
The following has worked for me to restore notifications for every single app I use.
To date, I have had absolutely no problems whatsoever with getting any notifications from any apps. Regardless of the app itself, time, battery state of the phone or 4G/5G/Wifi et cetera,
These are the steps that I have done. They worked for me. If you have already done other steps and things are not working for you. You may likely have broken something on your own, in which case these below steps obviously won't work for you.
Steps.
I got my new phone
I ran the Debloat Script
Rebooted the phone to check everything is working, no force closes etc.
Installed the apps I needed manually (did not copy from any previous device or use a transfer app)
Settings > Battery > Set to Balanced
Settings > Battery > Background Power Consumption > for messaging apps and other real-time important apps I set "High Background Power Usage"
For each app > Go to "App Info" (longtap on app) > Permissions > All Permissions > Autostart ON
Install APKPure store
Update these: Google Play Store, Google Services Framework, Google Play Services, Carrier Services
Reboot
Make a test notification from another phone to my Vivo - it works.
Open the app, then use the App Manager to swipe it away from the recents drawer
Make another test notification - it works.
Most of this is just simple a' la: https://dontkillmyapp.com/vivo
I have tested this with the following apps (and many more I could not be bothered to list):
Whatsapp (all message notifications are fine, can receive calls too)
Facebook Messenger (all message notifications are fine, can receive calls too)
Telegram (all message notifications are fine, can receive calls too)
Signal (all message notifications are fine, can receive calls too)
Threema (all message notifications are fine, can receive calls too)
Snapchat (all message notifications are fine, can receive calls too)
Google Photos (sync works fine, also got shared photos notification)
Gmail (all email notifications working, also Google Meets notification reminders)
Google Calendar (calendar reminders all working)
Microsoft Todo (reminders working fine, also added shared tasks notifications working)
Protonmail (all email notifications working)
Tutanota (all email notifications working)
Weawow Weather (weather alerts working fine, plus persistent notification not being killed for weather)
Pano Scrobbler (automatically opens and detects any playing music correctly even if I haven't opened the app in days)
Youtube Vanced (subscription notifications working fine, so are recommendations)
NewPipe Sponsorblock (same as Youtube Vanced)
This allows apps to start by themselves (also when invoked by another app in the background), it also prevents them from ever being killed in the background so you still get notifications.
Other things to note:
Dark Mode - I have it set to always on, no problems with notifications whatsoever and I have never had a problem
Do Not Disturb - When the schedule is set, all notifications are still received but are muted
com.vivo.pem - Still installed on my phone, I never removed it and I do not recommend removing it
120hz Mode - I am using this all the time
Battery saving or task killing apps? - I have none installed. They are all unreliable.
TradingShenzhen - I got my phone from here
System Version - PD2227C_A_13.0.19.0.W10.V000L1
Battery drain?
My phone barely even drains 20-35% in a day. This is by far the best phone I have ever used when it comes to battery drain. I have never had a problem with the battery draining at all. Not even randomly or overnight. The longest I have left my phone on without any kind of reboot is about 9 days. The phone drains on average about 1.3% per hour if I am not using it and 3% an hour with light use. Even using the camera and taking 4K video, the drain is very minimal. I use auto brightness and I have the always-on display turned off.
Battery drain will always come down to how you use your phone:
How much you pick it up,
Did you Debloat your phone,
Do you play games (I do not),
Are you using 5G (much higher drain) or Wifi (lower drain),
Do you have lots of apps syncing high volumes of data in the background,
Do you have Bluetooth on constantly and NFC in the background always on,
Do you watch a lot of videos (I do not),
Do you regularly properly close apps you aren't using?
and all things like this. As always YMMV. For me though, I could not get a single day out of my Samsung S22U. I can get almost 3 days out of my Vivo X90 Pro+ whilst taking a lot of photos, quite a few videos, having a few calls and using my browser a lot.
Here's 2 screenshots of my battery usage. Purple bars are background usage, which you can see is really nice and low for all apps. Turquoise (blueish) is foreground usage and I think those levels are normal. Notion is a massive battery hog, so is Libby. Notion due to sub-optimal coding and the over aggressive syncing it does when you're even just typing. Libby is just badly made. Likely I will also prevent Libby running in the background, but I allowed it only so I get notifications when my books are ready.
What about *x* app?
I don't know man, do these steps and try it for yourself. This is just what I have done and I have literally a perfect experience with this phone so far, which I think is to be expected because I wasn't chopping up my OS and removing system apps etc. If you feel like you are having a really bad experience, likely the only way forward is to fully factory reset the phone and try these steps.
What about com.vivo.pem?
Look. Friend... If you haven't figured out by the screenshot evidence and everything else I've been saying here and in my other threads, that you absolutely do not need to remove it (and absolutely should not). Then I can't help you and I won't say it again. What I will say though is this. There are a few people who have removed it, all of which STILL are having problems. ALL of which who are facing far WORSE problems like battery drain so bad that one of the biggest advocates for deleting this package is now selling his Vivo X90PP because he's unwilling to admit he bricked it by removing this package. Yet despite this he's still telling others to remove it . What we do know? Well removing to causes massive battery drain, your phone won't even last a full day. Removing it also can make it impossible to install any apps after an OS update . Removing it can also do all sorts of other weird things with your phone like force close apps randomly and cause random restarts. So why did people remove it? Because some "genius" was convinced it was a good idea. Because one guy who owned an X80 said it solved a problem getting his notifications to work. Because instead of looking for a really solution, some guys got out the axe and started hacking. So, keep the package? The worst you'll get is what... a notification might not work (which this whole guide should fix anyway). Remove it? Then only God can help you (or maybe a factory reset). My advice: Leave the package alone. If you already removed it and are having problems, factory reset and run the new debloat script and follow this guide.
Final word
I don't really use this community at all. Nor do I check posts very often. I help out only in my spare time and I don't have any interest in being some active member. In the past I have found this community unwelcoming, toxic and full of chest beaters, so I am really only interested in getting the tools and info I need and then getting out. I am not sure even why I bothered fixing the script for everyone else, I guess because it was simple and I really love this phone and want others to enjoy it. In short, I want more good phones like this and with a little bit of tweaking it can be an amazing device. However, lately, a lot of people have been DMing me after I fixed the debloat script, like over 20 people. Please do not DM me, I will likely not see these posts at all. All my notifications are disabled now after too much spam. Plus I won't reply to them individually. Make your posts in a thread where more than just me could give you an answer and do not pose your questions to "just me". I won't help you with your specific issues. The community here has always been adamant that you need to help yourself, otherwise just buy some overpriced Samdung or iPhone and forget about XDA altogether. My 2 cents.
In any case, I hope this thread helps some people going forward.

You're on my ignore list but I will reply to you this once only. Yes and those chats don't notify me when they are muted but my unmuted group chats notify me on every message. That is, the chats work fine, the exact same way as on my other phone. I don't want muted chats to notify me anyway.
Only viber doesnt work in dark mode in my case (it lights up screen with no content shown and no sound, no notification shown on garmin fenix 7) in light mode works perfectly
Thank you for the guide. But after some time my apps stop getting notifications again. What the solution for that? I have script 2.6 too and vivo pem active.

I currently have vivo.pem active , there is old debloat script that kills vivo pem, i would recomend that you kill only com.vivo.pem only. Delete other lines leave only vivo pem.
Also i have noticed when you run new and then old script then battery drain starts.
I always do factory reset before debloating and never restore using unbloat script.

Hi mate
Can you please tell me if your floating notifications pop up for WhatsApp? (The small message preview windows at the top of your screen whilst unlocked.) They work for every app except WhatsApp on mine.

@M5Pro60 but do your floating notifications pop up for WhatsApp?
Btw, if I have my phone in vibration mode with screen off it doesn't vibrate for many app notifications . Seems to be just another bug related to notifications. Then when I switch on the screen the notifications arrive delayed sometimes, sometimes not....
Also the notifications don't make it onto my Fenix 6X pro with vibration mode...
Just a rotten software with bugs everywhere....
I did everything as in the first post:
- reminders made on the same day (yesterday) - everything worked
- today, next day, again Google Calendar does not send notifications.
All settings are preserved, nothing has changed.
I don't understand what happened now?
