Hi.
I want to ask if someone knows if it supports ant+, since Sammobile web says yes, but eshops in Slovakia says no.
Thanks for help
As far as I can tell no Ant+ preinstalled on tmobile version. I can see the Ant+ downloads in the Google play store though.
no built in ANT+ sensors i think. I tried using a app called IpsensorMan and that app reports no ANT+ sensors

Thank you, it's a shame I think. Even mid-range A51 has ant+

Hello there!
So I've just bought a Mini and was excited about the features, especially the NFC and S Beam.
According to specs, both are supported out of the box, but it seems like I'm missing something.
NFC is working with external apps (like bump) but not with built-ins like phonebook's contact sharing and Beam is completely missing - or it is just me not finding that in the settings.
So the question is, where can I find those?
Slight update: it seems that none of the apps available on play can use the phone's nfc.

The phone currently doesn't hace nfc.
Nfc chip is located on the battery.
Current releases of the device come with non nfc battery.
It might be possoble on the future to use nfc battery with compatible ROM on early versions of the device

It really is a shame... I always wanted to try those nfc tags.
They should have stated this clearly..
It's like they are giving half-functioning devices to the first customers for full price.
Thanks for your answer!
I have root. I will gladly trade root for Ant+ support. I have not been able to get anyone to confirm or deny that the official 4.3 brings Ant+ support. Before I throw away root for nothing, can anyone confirm or deny if the latest firmware enables ANT+ support in the firmware? Surely one of you early adopters is a runner with a ANT+ HRM strap or cadence sensor.

I've tried going to my local AT&T store and making them the guinea pig but the update keeps failing on their phones too. I would really like to know.
Oh well, I will wait. It looks like progress is being made on cracking the update wide open so I will be patient.
Can't anybody check this? I can't believe none of the early adopter / upgraders have access to an ANT heart rate strap or cadence sensor.

I did update to official 4.3 for the BTLE support of my Wahoo bike accessories, which do work using Wahoo Fitness Android Beta App
Sadly, I couldn't get my ANT+ accessories to work (Bontrager Duotrap). I tried with the ANT+ official apps/plugins, as well as IPBike w/sensor app. I haven't ever seen ANT+ called out as being available on the S4 Active, only S4 itself.
Thank you very much. Sadly this seals the fate of my S4A. Locked bootloader + very little developer interest + no ant means I am done. Love the water resistance but not enough to outweigh the downsides. Going up for sale as soon as I have time to list it.

I realize it's been awhile, but after noticing that the ant+ service and plugins were added as part of the update to 4.4.2, I reinstalled Ipbike and the sensor package. To my surprise, it found my ANT+ DuoTrap with an appropriate m/s rate. Looks like an ANT+ sensor is present after all in the S4 Active.

Hi, I tried IpBike and the sensor package on my Active(i537) with 4.4.2. The ANT+ services seem to work, but it doesn't pair with ANT+ SpeedTrap (similar to DuoTrap without cadence). I wonder if your device was i537?
Dear mates,
I intend to buy a new LG phones. I'm in hesitation between LG L90 and LG G3 Stylus.
I really care about their remote function.
I'm wondering if either works fine with a 3rd party remote control apps like Anymote?
and which model can "learn" from other IRR devices?
Please give me your advice.
Thanks a lot
L90 has only stock app for remote and IR is coded to cooperate with only this one app, sadly.
And IR does not work at all if you are wondering about changing stock to custom rom

Thanks again . Could you suggest the similar model with open IR blaster? I really need one which has dual SIM and an open IR blaster which is compatible with various IR apps.

When I bought my Mix, the website also said it had an FM antenna...I've read a lot of websites now that say it has one, and a lot that say that's incorrect and doesn't have it.
I do know on some other phones that the headphones serve as the antenna...maybe something to try?

Nope, that did not work. After my understanding this is an bult in chip that works with the bluetooth, but the phone is supposed to hav ANT+ support
I'm on EU rom so I was thinking that it might be the rom that didn't support it?
But I've tried flashing the stock rom with no luck, maybe it will work with an update
