Hi.
I want root my android phone but can not find any instruction.
Please give me your instruction.
model:Samsung t515 with android 10.
my gmail:[email protected]
Could you please explain how you got root on android 10 on t515? Would highly appreciate it. Thanks.
Seems like @Alharith89 is gone. To bad..
Congratulations Alharith89!!. Twelve hours?. Wow.
Care to explain the steps you did?. I have a sm-t510 but I think its the same. Im currently an infinite bootlooping with Android 10 trying to install TWRP
Alharith89 is stuck in bootloop just like most folk. He replied to my initial question on this post confirming so.
I think until a working method comes along to bypass android 10+ security, your better off formattjngyour device and re-flashing (Andriod 10) firmware. At least A-10 is more stable which makes my user experience more tolerable.

I can't really have him install that because his phone won't go past the Galaxy Note 3 screen when he boots. This is what happened... he rooted successfully rooted with kingo and installed safestrap. He made a nandroid backup and installed a rom. The rom was force closing a lot of his apps so he decided to return to his nandroid backup. He first wiped everything and then he was going to restore but his backup wasn't there so he rebooted from there and that was his mistake. He can't enter safestrap anymore and won't get past the Galaxy Note 3 screen. This is all the information I have from his device.

Look in general section for restore to mj5. That will get him back to mj5.
I bricked mine with a botched 4.4 update file or something, I took it to the Samsung experience center at best buy, they flashed it back to 4.3 for me even with the boot screen saying CUSTOM
Hello everyone
My first entry here, if I do something wrong just tell me please
I've got a problem with my Huawei EVA-L09.
I installed Lineage OS 14.1. The OS is working fine and as expected.
The problem is, the TWRP recovery menu is not starting anymore.
The boot process stuck where it says: Your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted...
Your device is booting now... And there it stays forever.
I tried all recommended TWRP versions downloaded from the official TWRP website:

I tried to start recovery menu with the built in lineage os restart option and also with ADB.
I already searched through the forum and asked google as well, there are a lot of similar issues but none of the solutions helped in my case.
Am I using a wrong version?!
Thanks for your help!!

If, before flashing the custom ROM, you were on Android 7 firmware, use:
twrp-3.1.1-1-eva_extended.img
If you did rebranding and you upgraded to Chinese Android 8, use:
P9-EVA-8.0.0-TWRP-v4.img
If you were on the old Android 6, then use:
P9-EVA-TWRP-Android-6.img
You can find all of them on my old Mega share (I've no more P9 but didn't delete yet):
3.1 KB folder on MEGA
10 files
mega.nz
After flashing TWRP you must immediately reboot one time to TWRP (otherwise, system will overwrite TWRP with the stock Recovery)
Hi zgfg
I'm impressed how fast and detailed this answer was. It works with version 3.1.1.1!
Thank you so much and have a good evening!
Hey everyone,
As nobody has been willing to port TWRP to the Note 10 Lite and due to the unfortunate circumstances of OTA Updates bricking my own phone every time I have more or less been forced to get TWRP running on my device to even have a chance of recovering at least some data from it.
I will keep everyone posted on my progress but keep in mind that this is the first time I attempt to port TWRP or any other android component to a phone so progress might not go very smoothly at first.
I'm currently in the progress of getting a working build environment set up based on TWRP for the Galaxy S9 as it seems to share the same SoC as the Note 10 Lite which should at least provide a better base than starting from scratch. I hope to get something working before the end of the week as it's fairly critical for me to get it working asap.
If anybody who at least knows some stuff about porting TWRP to samsung devices wants to help me out I'd really appreciate it. Every nudge in the right direction is very nice to have so feel free to respond here or pass me a message

I have already made TWRP for Note10 Lite, And one more dev also made TWRP for N10Lite..
TWRP is ready but vbmeta check not allowing to flash any custom recovery in partition.
Yes we have flashed vbmeta disabled file but even phone says vbemta disabled value set still it gives while flashing twrp or any custom recovery error vbmeta verification failed.
This might be due to vbmeta in BL cross checking vbmeta of AP.
This same problem is present on other many samsung phones too.. and was present on s20 before but samsung fixed it with OTA update.
Unless samsung fixes that or give us private keys to sign twrp to use partition without that you cant flash anything into partition.
I haven't tried on one ui 3/ Android 11 firmware but I have seen vbmeta file of it, its the same as one ui 2.5.
I have posted all of this info here on XDA but got deleted cause I deleted my account. Will post again.
You can PM me if you want any help.
Hey XDA Developers,
I’ve been trying to root my s7 edge on oreo 8.0.0 through odin and when I try to flash twrp on it, it says SECURE CHECK FAIL : recovery.
Tried downgrading and failed in that too , says SW REV Check Fail : [boot] Binary 11 Fused 4.
Please help me out experts!
Well, it seems like you're already on Binary 11 (BL11?) , I used https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/root-s7-s7-edge-unroot-easy-updated-02-09-2020.4048237/ step but it supported up to BL10 I guess which was what I have and it works flawlessly in minutes.

I assume that you're trying to root using engboot method. And you are on Bootloader 11. As per my knowledge, there's no engboot for Bootloader 11 till now. And there's no way to downgrade.
So you can't root it at the moment. You'll have to wait until engboot comes out for b11.
I'm having the exact same issue. I bought my phone unlocked and model SM-G935U. How do I check what BL I'm on?
Same errors during root attempts so seems to be on BL 11. Anyone know how to confirm this? Is the "Binary 11" in the error message a confirmation of BL 11? Any solution yet?
Any luck on rooting the stupid G935T (BL 11) ? or is it condemned for good?
Seeing as it's been a while, has anyone successfully got TWRP and therefore a nice custom ROM ?

Are you flashing the patched AP file in Odin?
You can also try flashing TWRP, then install Magisk in TWRP.
Thank you!! for replying to my issue. This is the Odin config with no device attached to USB, please see attached clip.
Thank you again, i am most appreciative, mark
Uh did you even unlock the bootloader yet because all US Samsung phones have locked bootloaders since the S7
Thank you!! for replying to my question(s). The device i am attempting to root, does not have the OEM unlock option; i have used several threads (instructions and firmware) to make the option available: e.g. change date, etc., and have used the following instruction(s) and firmware flash(s) below:
