can anyone please upload their Visual Voicemail app for AT&T? I bought a Galaxy S2 and cannot seem to find the default visual voicemail app in the marketplace (probably because my phone is from Europe and is not recognized by the american marketplace)
thanks in advance =]
---------
In a related note: I went to my local AT&T store to see if they could get it working for me, but they supposedly said that google removed visual voicemail apps from the marketplace. WTF?
Doesn't belong in the dev section.
As for an answer, I've never had Visual Voicemail on my phone. I thought that was iPhone exclusive.
I've never had visual voicemail from at&t either. I do however use google voice for my voicemail and I like that a lot better than the iphones visual voice as it transcribes the message too.
Here
Have you tried google it first?
Visual Voicemail is currently available for BlackBerry® Bold™ smartphone users*.
As has been mentioned, it isn't available for Droid. There are alternate options.
Also as has been mentioned, this IS NOT A DEV concern. This is the very reason they put a minimum post count cap on posting in the DEV section. Apparently they must have gone back and changed it.
Send this to General...
And download Google Voice. It is vastly superior to that dinosaur VVM...
I posted this in the dev section because I was planning on porting the app over to the SGS2
anyway, I remember seeïng the visual voicemail app a long time ago on some Tmobile devices; I'm new, i thought it was still around
I use Youmail. Its great!!
YouMail
Try YouMail. It works great.
Google Voice.
You can use your current phone number and have visual voicemail.
Go to google.com/voice on your computer to set it up, then get the app.

Moved to proper forum.
Hi all
My question is does the visual voicemail option/ settings only show on the phone if your carrier supports it?
I am currently on Vodafone UK who do not support VVM and I'm going to move to O2 but currently the handset does not show any of the VVM options! Will this change if I move to O2 assuming I have VVM on my contract?
Can anyone confirm if the leaked Schubert mango rom has vvm functionallity?
My preference as an AT&T user is the original Visual Voicemail application over the AT&T messages app. The latter tries to combine all of your call lists, text messages, voicemails, etc in one. Some people rather retain control over their text messages. You can disable notifications, but I know at one point it would still semi interfere with other messaging applications.
Just in case you had your phone voicemail forwarding to another number, please view this video to reset it:

Idk about the spyware thing, but if its hanging at waiting for verification, you probably don't have vvm provisioned on your account. Make sure your data plan says something about having vvm.
Just use Google Voice. Visual voicemail that can be accessed on any device or PC.

Yeah I don't know about the whole spyware thing.
Anyways sometimes visual voicemail takes a little while to provision. Just a glitch in the matrix. Probably network load related.
Google voice for visual voice mail here, im also on att
Google Voice and Death Star Mobile here as well
You can't go wrong with Google Voice, especially if you live in Google-land. A minute ago I got a voicemail. A notification message with a full, mostly-accurate transcription of the voicemail went to my phone and Gmail. Gmail has native support and allows you to play the VM right from inside the email. Pretty convenient.

Everyone should use Google Voice. No MMS, but it's not 2006, so...
FYI, in order for call forwarding to work properly with GV on AT&T, you need to call AT&T and insist that they disable visual voicemail on your account. After all you don't need it.
After you do this, forwarding will work perfectly. Took me a week to figure this out.

I've found older versions of the att visual voice mail apk around on the forums, but the latest is 2.5.2 on the play store. Anyone have an APK for that to side load onto a nexus 5?

I found a link to the apk in this thread but I'm getting stuck after entering my password. Any ideas why I'm getting stuck here?

I have a feeling that's what they are going to tell me hence why it won't work through the Play Store but have no idea how others here were able to get it to work unless something has changed. I'll post up here what I find out.
I recently upgraded to Sultan LineageOS using the files from the link below.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...t/op3-op3t-unofficial-lineageos-14-1-t3588696
Everything works great, except for the phone app. It crashes as soon as it is launched, every time. So, I read the other posts regarding this topic. I installed T-Mobile Visual Voicemail (I don't have T-Mobile as a carrier, this was just an attempt to fix the issue). This seemed to work because I can now open the phone app. I then uninstalled T-Mobile Visual Voicemail. Now, I no longer have the voicemail tab on the phone app. How can I get the voicemail tab back?

I have fixed the issue as follows:
(1) Install T-Mobile Visual Voice Mail App (Phone app stops crashing)
(2) Launch phone app and dial into voicemail
(3) Delete any outstanding voicemails
(4) Uninstall T-Mobile Visual Voice Mail App
(5) Reboot Phone
Dude, I can't believe that worked. Cheers!
Hi,
Has anybody got native Visual Voicemail in Google Dialer to work? I'm trying to on T-Mobile but it's a no go for me so far
Thank you

I'm not on the same carrier but I failed to get it to work properly with mine I could get notifications and call I'd but no actual message.
For t-mobile this has been "broken" for months.
From the web it seems that T-Mobile dropped support for the built in visual voicemail. You have to use their app and well it doesn't work ever for me. It doesn't sync, or notifies, and constantly throws error saying we can't access voicemail please dial voicemail instead.
This just means my voicemail is now never ever checked.
Sign up for a Google voice. Set the phone calls to forward to the number if you are not available. Use it for voicemail. It will transcribe and email them to you.
Att's app sucks also. I miss my built in from Windows mobile 10 and this was the next best things.
