I picked up a Galaxy Watch3 yesterday to go with my Note20 Ultra. During setup I was notified of an update so I did it. I didn't look for SpO2 prior to the update so I'm not sure it was ever there. But now, after reading and watching videos, I can't seem to find it. I do have ECG however.
Watch software version is R845USQU1BTH4 and the Samsung Health app version is 6.12.0.029. The ECG is done through the Samsung Health Monitor app which is showing version 1.1.0.175 (Sep 24, 2020)
Not sure what's going on. Has this been removed? Anybody else have this update that can verify?
Thanks

Nowhere to be found! When I couldnt find it I went to youtube and watched all the videos. It doesnt show up in the watch. It doesnt show up in the Health app, and some videos show it in the Health Monitor app, and it doesnt show there either on mine!
Figured it out. I had to go into the Wear app on my phone, select Discover tab, search for Samsung Health, and update from that menu. SpO2 now appears. No other methods of checking for updates seemed to find that update.

HI. Does it work for you on non samsung phone? Can you tell my what version of app do you have on the watch?
Hi guys
Any update to getting the SPO2 app working on the Galaxy watch 3 RM845 LTE version.
I installed the Samsung Health app and got BP and EKG to work but no sign of the SPO2 app.
@nanand13
Can you give more details?
SM-R845 F or U?
If you are able to identify your active CSC?
Maybe you allready know how to sign and install TPKs you could test:
SpO2 TPK
Is there a way to extract the SpO2 tpk file from the Galaxy Watch 3 ? I have both watches GW3 and Active 2. I am planning to sideload the SpO2 on the Active 2. Thanks.

Hi there adfree
The model is SM-R845F ..... sorry I don't know the process of signing and installing the tpk.
I am not sure if the CSC is as below;
The Software version is as follows;
R845FXXU1DUA4
SM-R845FZKAXFA
One Watch verion = 2.0
Tizen version = 5.5.0.2
SE for Tizen = 2.0.0
TIMA = 3.0.0
Knox Tizen Wearable SDK = 2.5.0
so frustrated with this watch now ... some update happed recently either on my watch or phone and lost the BP and EKG software and had to re-install and recalibrate.
now just the SPO2 does not work ...

Excuse me.

Look here... seems your CSC is not supported for SPO2...

And you are able to bypass the TPK Signing problem...
We could try something... as I still need GW3 tester...

Hello.
I'm from Belgium but I bought a gear vr innovator edition on eBay from UK because it wasn't sold in my country.
I put it in and the initialization went fine, and the oculus app starts when I put the phone in and the gear on my head.
The issue I have though, is that I can't install & update apps from oculus home, either in vr or not. The apps download then fail to install.
I've reached to oculus support but they told me an update with carrier specific files were needed. But it won't happen from my carrier since the device is not sold in Belgium!
Does any of you know which files they are talking about, and if it would be possible to copy them from another device?
I managed to install apps with a workaround (renaming the temp file during download to avoid it being deleted when install fails) but I would like to be able to use the oculus store like it should!
Thanks

This seems like a useful app indeed, but I don't think it will solve the problem I have with the oculus store app not installing apps.
And for some reason the app you linked to doesn't want to start on my note 4!
But thanks anyway!
OK I found the solution if anyone happens to have the same issue: apparently the stock rom with the "LUX" CSC misses some Gear VR specific files because the Gear VR for Note 4 was not commercialised in Luxembourg or Belgium. I installed the "XEF" CSC rom (France - unlocked) downloaded from sammobile and now it works.
I got a rooted (including eDxposed) Galaxy Note 10 Plus (N975F) and planning to buy the GW3 from the USA.
So far I am able to make the phone pass safetynet, work with Gpay. Samsung Health works thanks to the modified apk from xda.
Samsung pay doesn't work on the phone.
As my phones is rooted - Will I be able to use Samsung Pay on the watch? What about ECG, BP and other fitness measurements?
P.S. To the mods - I am not sure if this is the right forum for this question. I wasn't able to find any other GW3 Q&A forum. Please kindly move it to the right forum if this is not it. Thanks.
I have also a rooted phone and wonder if Samsung Pay, ECG, BP and other fitness measurements can be used or not with a rooted phone
I have the same problem, any solution? I was able to have the health monitor app in the watch, but I can't use it as the phone app says my galaxy is rooted.
This may be slightly irrelevant to you, but I'll share my experience. I have the Galaxy Watch 3 paired to a OnePlus 7 Pro, rooted with Magisk, passing safetyNet.
ECG is not working for me (not available in my region).
Samsung Pay is not working for me. I tested with friends' Samsung phones and they don't have Samsung Pay either (therefore not available in my region so I can't test).
I've read on the forums that ECG is not working with rooted Samsung phones. Rooting a Samsung (or unlocking the bootloader, generally) trips KNOX. If you have KNOX tripped, people reported ECG not working and Samsung Pay getting disabled as well. This happened in THE UNITED STATES where ECG and Samsung Pay are usually working.
Don't take my word for it though, read it for yourself

I have one plus 7 pro with magisk and galaxy watch 3 too... I can use galaxy watch 3 as well, no problem. but when I try to use samsung health monıtor app (installed as apk seperately) it says ''samsung healt monıtor does not work with rooted phone''. safety net passed, magisk hide is on and magisk manager packed with different name. no luck
If you have knox tripped phone:
1) rooted :
- samsung pay (watch) not working
- shealth working (including sync!!!) when ro.config.tima fixed using magisk and magisk configbuild module
- samsung health monitor not working
- btw gpay working using sqlfix magisk module
2) unrooted/official/relocked bootloader:
- samsung pay (watch) working
- shealth working partialy (no sync), to use latest version find xpirt patched version, install it, open, agree to terms...then download latest apk on apkpure, install SAI from google store, settings -> sign apks.. install/update using latest apk using SAI.. now you have latest shealth with no online sync working (so forget 3rd party integrations.. google fit, xiomi scale...)
-health monitor working, but doesnt sync with shealth
Search xda for details if confused..

Samsung pay watch depends on samsung pay on phone, so if the phone isn't working, you can't use it...
S Health works fine since it's tima in build.prop set from 1 to 0...
However, the BP and ECG in Samsung health monitor, you can grab my modified apk and it will work, the app is guarded against root, not just tima in build.prop, but root apps, busybox, xposed and su commands...
Hope that helps...
Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Rooted with Galaxy Watch 3...
@Dante63
Thank you.
I already have the watch.
Samsung pay actually works just fine through the watch, although the Spay on the phone doesn't work due to tripped knox.
I tried your modified SHM on the Samsung phone, but it seems to not only check for root, but on Samsung phone it also checks for Knox and then exits with the error that the phone has been modified.
Is there anything you can do to fix it so that it will also skip knox check?
Thanks again

EDIT: Yes it does, good catch... thanks for the info...
As for SHM, then i might have not seen tima and it actually checks build.prop... did you change your build.prop, set tima from 1 to 0 and reboot...? Does your Samsung Health work..?
Yes, I changed build.prop and SH works, but SHM doesn't. Can you fix this?

Yes, and still we can get safety-net to pass with the new safetynet-fix magisk module, hide magisk from other apps (including all my banking apps) and able to use them and google pay without a problem now, except for Samsung Pay app. What makes this app so special compared to the other apps I mentioned?

Samsung Pay rely on several Samsung services and framework apks which are also guarded against tampering and have root detection which is not the safety net...
Root detection comes in forms of apps installed, as you can see from Samsung Health monitor, it also would attempt to look for busybox and attempt to call "su" which is Linux command to get root access and try mounting partitions which all on success would trigger flag rooted...
So Samsung pay has additional protections aside the Samsung Health Monitor ways, it is also guarded like all banking apps with encoded strings, in other words, things you don't know what they stand for and the apps names get encoded to be compared with the provided...
Also, as long in download mode it shows custom and not official, Samsung pay won't work, it is not linked to the knox trip since official Samsung ROM works fine with everything despite the device was rooted before, knox now is mainly for voiding warranty...
I'm not much of an expert in this so some of what I said about know and Samsung pay may not be accurate...
The only things I'm sure about is how strongly they are secure against tampering and detection of root in different forms which even by having a folder named "magisk" on the internal memory believe it or not...
Thanks for the thorough and modest answer.
I personally want to believe that nothing is impossible, I guess it's only a matter of time until this will also get hacked.
The only question is - who will really want to use a hacked samsung pay app when it may contain some malwares or god knows what...

Hi all quick question to ECG region on Samsung Health monitor app on my S21U
Does the app set your location using CSC of the S21 Ultra or your GPS location ?
I am in UK but my S21U CSC is Nigeria ECT and the app says ECG is not supported in my current location ?
From what I know, they use the cellular base station location to determine where are you.

From what I understand, they took forever to bring some of their monitoring features to the watch because they had to get the certifications from various health organization bodies.
I would not be surprised then that if you are not in specific regions, it just will not work....
I saw an article about enabling the function in countries that do not support it and showing how to download the Tizen app and modify it to run. There are videos on youtube that may go into more detail

Since the Galaxy watch 4 relys on wearOS you should be able to pair it with the chinese wearOS app.

She retried after installing china version but it still stays stuck on the splash screen...Any suggestions? What version of china wear os and regular wear os are you running? Could you offer a more detailed step by step of what you actually did to get it working? Would really appreciate that.

Did you use the WearOs from Vivo Store?
Anyone managed to sync their Garmin watches? According to Garmin's website, the Garmin Connect app requires that the phone "natively support the Google Play store". Guess we're out of luck then... Can't find a Garmin App in Vivostore that could be a solution...?
There may be some confusion about where to get the correct WearOS software to work on the CN firmware. My wife's Galaxy 4 watch stopped working with her Huawei Mate 20 X recently after the phone received a firmware update from Android 11 to Android 12 (it is an older Huawei phone so isn't impacted by the US technology ban on Huawei). After a lot of searching I discovered that if we completely uninstalled the WearOs and Watch Plugin from the phone, and then reinstalled it - NOT from the Google Play Store - but rather from Huawei's App Gallery, then voila, it worked! I have had the same issue with my Galaxy Buds2 on my Vivo X Note (CN firmware). If I uninstall the WearOS software and the Buds Manager plugin from the phone, and then reinstall them from the Vivo App Store they work. The app looks to be identical to the Play Store version, but as an interesting aside it has some Chinese language in a few of the settings submenus. I think Samsung makes one version of their app for Chinese phones, and a different version for Global phones.
I downloaded the wear os from the Vivo asp store and keep getting stuck on the getting yogurt Watch details screen (this is on the Vivo x fold)

* No a full solution currently.
Try to download the Samsung Health app and connect from the Accessories (triple dot -> Settings -> Accessories -> Smartwatch -> Register) option, this should forward you to the official Samsung SSO and allow the association with the device.
Also, make sure to:
1. Backup the watch to a Samsung account before you start because you will have to reset it.
2. Download the necessary Plugin and Manager apps to your Vivo device as they are required by the process.
* I did this to associate my Galaxy watch 4 with the Vivo x80 pro, I'm still working on making it fully connected because it does disconnect but that is some progress in that direction.
Edit: It did fully connect, now I just have to access it through the Health App path but other than that the watch can be managed through the manager app and works the same.

Hi dude, looks like I found a solution, uninstall Wearable and Wear os apps, then download this apk http://samsung-gear.apk.watch/2.2.41.21071361/for/huawei-honor-8, it will install an update to work, and it will install the Wear Os. Not for sure but you may need the Wearables Manager Installer too. The Buds+ need all to run.
They need full permissions as well to load.
Try a network reset otherwise.

So I installed couple of plugins, give them all the permissions and reset my network.
Installed managers as well.
So this time when I'm trying to pair, the galaxy wearable just closes itself now. When I open it again it says that I need galaxy watch4 manager.
And for some reason those plugins keep automatically disabling.
You need all the apps. With the Buds up also need these. The watch is likely similar.
Since I have a Samsung it was preloaded with the Wearables Manager and maybe some others so when it saw the device it automatically updated through the Galaxy Store. Latter after a bad update, I had uninstall all of them and use my backup app copier that were know good. At first I missed these two below and was doing what you're doing now -cursing-
There are other sites with install primers for the Galaxy 4 Watch.

Latter after a bad update, I had uninstall all of them and use my backup app copier that were know good. At first I missed these two below and was doing what you're doing now -cursing-
There are other sites with install primers for the Galaxy 4 Watch.
How to Set Up Your Samsung Galaxy Watch 4
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 is set up through the Galaxy Wearable app and requires the Samsung Watch4 add-on.

You got the 3 critical ones, right?
Power off watch.
Network reset.
Reboot phone... power on the watch.
Open bluetooth and look for new devices.
Play with it. Try coupling the Buds.
If you can clear the system cache, do so.
Doing a factory reset will only teach you new curse words... don't.
I think you need the Watch4 Plugin, not the Watch Plugin since it's using the new Wear OS, not the Tizen OS.
Also, I can pair my Watch 4 normally with the Global Version.

Okay, so when I'm downloading that watch 4 plugin it's actually apears later on the phone as a galaxy watch4 manager, idk if that makes any sense.
Still not pairing after installing all plugins and resetting network and stuff
When I try to pair this watch now it says that I need galaxy watch4 plugin but I already have it installed on my phone.
When I press ok, it just transfer me to play store with blank screen.
When I tried to pair this watch with my old OnePlus 6t it also said that I need that plugin and transfeed me to download it with no problem and watch works just fine. But with 11 ultra there is some problem
I also had this issue. I couldnt pair it with my mi 11 ultra. I also couldnt use android auto with it. That was with the stock global rom. So I ended up installing xiaomi eu rom on it and suddenly everything worked. I could pair my galaxy watch 4 classic to it, android auto started working.
Hope this helps.
