Right so, i have bought a A71 but it has a Simlock on it. It is locked to EE. Is there any possible way to unlock it for FREE, as this device is second hand and EE charge a fee for unlocking a phone. Is there any alternatives how i can unlock my phone?

Hola Junior, tengo el mismo problema con un Motorola Droid 2 Global, para ver si nos podemos poner en contacto a ver si puedo liberar mi movil .
Gracias mil.
Hi! I'm waiting for my X to arrive. I've got a couple of question for my fellows mexicans
Any Mexican user with your X purchased from motomaker with lollipop?
Telcel had liberate the update? (For the models purchased directly from the store)
What model is your X? 95 or 97? (pure edition or not) and where you purchased it...
Did any of you had your Motorola stuck at the "Toluca-limbo"? How many days did you waited?
De antemano: gracias. Espero que me puedan resolver mis dudas...
Pd: Alguien de Izcalli
Hi , the model that motorola sells on Mx is the xt1097 , if you've purchased the phone straight from motorola website you can buy it unlocked (without telcel chip) , i dont know if the update depends on telcel , but its quite easy to force the update if you follow the tutorials on this forum .
My moto x got stock in toluca for 4 days , and beforr that it was delayed for more than a week so it took forever for it to arrive to me .... But im very happy with the phone so far....
Hello,
I would like to import the Galaxy Note 5 in France but I need to know which version has the good frequencie in France ? There are the SM-N9200 from Asia, the SM-N920I from America and the SM-N920C from Maghreb.
I found the America version on the "T dimension" website
I found the Asia version on "ValueBasket" website
Do you have any idea ?
Thank a lot
Sorry for my english
You need to check which bands your chosen carrier uses and compare them to the ones used by the phones on a specs page.
Do understand that even though bands match there might be complications
From what I read on a French forum, a visitor bought one from a shop on ebay Singapore ; he took the SM- N920I and it is imperative to take a unlock region. He received today ; All seems to work perfectly..
Sorry for my english, i am french. Thank's to Google traduction.

Karl

Me too. By cons I was not aware about the rumor of a possible new device ......
Keep me updated if the phone works well.
Why order from USA ? There are orders available from UK...
Within european union is always better...
I have no doubt he can make calls or send sms. What i doubt is if he has full 4g capabilities.
Thanks.
Do not worry, when I have news, I'll post.
Would you have a link to order from U.K.?
Thk.
Most mobiles for European use should have LTE bands 3, 7, and 20 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_LTE_networks_in_Europe).
e.g. the SM-N920I does not have B20, so not ideal.
Need to check release list for Note 5 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/not...lease-list-t3182714/post62427847#post62427847
e.g. the Note 5 32GB offered on ebay UK right now is the SM-N920I - I wouldn't buy that for use in Europe... but they're selling anyway lol,
btw that's the same thing for the ebay link above from France.... missing 800MHz LTE band for Europe, still have the shorter range bands left, but I wouldn't risk getting potentially worse LTE coverage.
another useful link, subject to error ofc... http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=8687&c=samsung_sm-n920i_galaxy_note_5_lte-a_64gb_samsung_noble
Can i use a unlocked N920A or N920T in german with lte band20 800mhz ?
I figured as much . Your phone works , you send sms and get calls but your lte coverage is gonna suck.
Personally Im getting the lg 4 pro.
It has everything .
LG G4 Pro is supposed to blow the Note 5 out of the water by including all that Samsung has left out: Expandable storage up to 128gb, removable 3,500 mAh battery and also including Quad HD 5.8″ display, Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4gb RAM, whopping 27 megapixel camera with OIS and 8 megapixel selfie camera. Oh and it also has a stylus pen.
Why give samsung money after this fiasco ?
Personally im getting this as soon as its out which is probably after IFA in Berlin
The asian phones (n9208) are missing band 20 though they do have 800Mhz its different bands. In the UK band 20 is used by Vodafone and O2, while EE use bands 3 and 7 and Three uses band 3
In france it seems that its a bit more mixed up with the networks using multiple bands each,
must say I'm tempted by the LG G4 pro or whatever it will be called, especially if its released as a Nexus device.
From what I've found, the recommended phone given European frequencies (both 3G and 4G LTE) is the N920C.
There is a whole thread (in French) dedicated to that topic on the frandroid forum (can't post the link as guest, sorry)
From what I've seen on T Dimension, the N920C has these frequencies:
Cellular Networks: GSM850/900/1800/1900 (same on all models)
3G: UMTS 850(B5)/900(B8)/1900(B2)/2100(B1) <-- in France, both bands 1 (2100 MHz) and 8 (900 MHz) are used, see "Fréquences de téléphonie mobile en France" on Wikipedia
4G: LTE 2100(B1)/700(B17)/850(B5)/ (B4)/1800(B3)/2600(B7)/1900(B2)/900(B8)/700(B12)/800(B26)/800(B19)/800(B20)
Or in order, bands 1 2 3 4 5 7 8 12 17 19 20 26
In most of Europe (and France is no exception), you only need bands 1, 3, 7, and 20.
The only other model that I've found with band 20 is the N920A, but for 3G it lacks band 8 (900 MHz).
Hope this helps!
920C and 920CD (dual) are the models compatible with any european LTE/4G band (b3/b7/b20)
Hi everyone i was looking into the Mi 5X and thought it was a good phone an i decided to buy it but before doing it i realized that it is not 4G compatible with my country
Is there anyway that i can eliminate the restrictions from this device so i can have all frequencies available?
PS: sorry for bad english
Hi bro. I was about to do the same thing, but I was awared of that problem (I also live in México), so I've been doing some "research" on google and I have some bad news. Xiaomi has never released an international version of their "MI" main line, even the Mi6 doesn't have one and it was released 4 months ago, so it is not a recent problem. So this, many people have tried to unlock another bands than stock supported since mi5 first release, with no success, they realized it is a hardware issue rather than software. Back to mi4 it was posible due to some qualcomm software restrictions that were easily bypassed, something not posible with newer SoCs.
So, in a few words, as far as I discovered, if it doesn't stock support a band it will never do since is a hardware restriction, at least not with current qualcomm SoCs. Its a shame that in middle 2017 we still have problems with network bands, I don't remember we had this long lasting issues with 3G
unfortunately no carnal, we'll have to stay with H+ if you want the phone in México
Have you tried to unlock the bands using this tool DFS Studio? More instructions on how to achieve it can be found in this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/le-max-2/how-to/guide-unlock-bands-leeco-le-max-2-fix-t3439154
Not sure if it works on the Mi 5X, but it may be worth to try it out.
Valiste verga carnal, acaban de lanzar el A1, que es un 5X con todas las bandas LTE y Android stock puro.
Tough luck.

Please write in english, it's annoying for others to read when you write in other languages in this forum and it's also a violation of the rules.

As far as I know that's just for unlock the SoC for more bands support, but unfortunately that's not enough. There's some hardware requirements the phone must have for correct signal reception, and SoC support is just one of them. He can try it, maybe SoC restriction is the only limitation, but honestly I doubt it
LTE B5 with AT&T Mexico
Hi bro!
Some folks in Puebla report that their Xiaomi's are with LTE service on AT&T, and there is a rumor about AT&T Mexico enabling LTE @ B5 in major cities.
Then maybe you have your problem solved without recurring to Soc/Kernel hands on!
Good luck, hope this works for u.
