I'm looking for hi-fi in-ear headphones, no bluetooth, with a working remote (mic and volume button) for my Legend.
I'm not satisfied with the models Htc have. I've tried a lot of iphone compatible headphones but the remote doesn't work as I want.
Anyone here with bigger luck?
Swyped from my HTC Legend
I got a pair of Skullcandy Full-Metal-Jackets that I clipped off about 3cm from the headphone then did the same with the stock HTC headphones. I soldered them together and finished it off with heatshrink and now I have FMJs with the HTC control
I bought the "multimedia" headphones from HTC (those with jack 3,5mm) and after I throwed the actual earphones away, I bought SonyEricsson W800i original earphones without the adaptor...And the combination is very good and didn't cost that much!

Me too
im looking to buy a decent pair of earphones(wired) for my galaxy ace
im getting tired of unplugging my sennheiser earphones(without mic) every time i get a call >.<
now im wondering if all the earphones with mic will work or should there be some specific detail that i should look out for with the mic
also, will the iphone earphones work?
thanx in advance
AFAIK, specific manufacturer earphones work only on their phones.
I've tried Sony Ericsson and Nokia in-ears, they DON'T work.
Logitech Ultimate ears work great

Bought myself Beats Tour earphones a couple weeks ago. The sound it makes is just staggering. Makes me feel like there's a sub-woofer inside my head lol.
I think it will go with the casing if it will work.
I jave Audio Technica earchone with mic and you can use it for calls.
Razer Moray+ are incredible!

I use white earphones from blackberry but dont know the name sry.
well, right now, there are 2 earphones that are catered for Android users, with apps from the Android Market to support the earphones operation...one is JAYS a-Jays One+, and the other is Klipsch S4A...both are in-ear earphones with mic and answer buttons...
The Bose MIE2 mobile headset, for me are the best with mic, the bass is amazing and the acoustics in this specially designed headphones sounds very clear, very deep bass feel you are listening live

I like to use Sennheiser CX271, incredible sound for the price in my opinion.
Best of luck
I am using Sony MW600. Great sound, A2DP, bulit in FM. Sadly, no title or caller-name streaming on display.

And no Voodoo sound
I use Jays a-Jays One, love them! Epic bass and clear sound.
Any earphones that are plastic, and don't have the rubber inserts? I'm using my old iphone earphones... decent, but I'd love something with oomph!
I've bought the Sennheiser CX300II a couple of month ago for about 40 € in a shop (If you buy them online i think you get them much cheaper). The sound in combination with voodoo is just awesome even without bass boost enabled.

You can use the earphones via cable, without the BT-part.
Gone for the Sennheiser CX300II, got them for £13 online, great reviews, thanks everyone

For collection of list of variety of Headsets that are fully compatible with Defy/+.
As we know we have variety of Roms and highly customized music players and equalizers available.. I don't think we would ever need any dedicated Music Player for our needs.. What we need is just a Quality Headsets.
If in your experience you have ever used/tested any other OEM Headset in the past, which are fully compatible or not compatible for Defy/+.. Post it with a review so that other can have information for a better selection..
Samsung EHS60.. which come inbox with S and Y series is fully compatible.. High on bass as well as cheap.

I guess all earphones/headphones having a 3.5mm jack, WITHOUT A MIC, are fully compatible with Defy/Defy+.
Philips SHH-7810 works absolutely great, Sound is awesome(full bass),fits perfectly, and the mic too works..

I changed the same in OP, i guess all the headphones without Mic or buttons would work perfectly well.. but the real deal is in choosing Headset i.e. which come with Mic and extra buttons..
I m using SE mw600... nice clear bass, amazing sound quality
I tested a Soundmagic MP21, and it DOES NOT work. The output sound is messed up.
i am using meelec m9p... works great...
Does anyone tried beats by Dre solo on defy??

HTC RC-E160 worked but the Skip track buttons are not recognized All three buttons act as one single button i.e. just play and pause.. Sound quality is average i mean Default Moto produces better sound than RC-E160.
I just use Koss Porta Pros. They're the best headphones out there (unless you need some serious fancy ****) and I use the mic on the phone
!JBL Tempo works well .. Good sound quality as well . Have used Sennheiser CX180 too which was nice too

JVC HA-FX1X. Good performance, sound intermediate.Cheaps.
I'm using MEElectronics CC-51P, and works perfectly with Defy, mic works very well and the sound is awesome.
Logitech Ultimate Ears 400vm - sounds and works well with Defy. Mic works, answer button works. Can start and stop music with answer button and also skip track via long press
Bose MIE2i - not detected as a headset, headphone funtionality only
best headphones you can ever think of .. perfect design great comfort and the bass ohh.. this monster beats many of them personally tested and working very well with defy
and it is so cheap 365/- its like 8 -9 $ ..and the sound quality is awsome
a must buy ..

Hello, i bought 3T cause my Z2's cellular and wifi died. Today i plugged in the headphones from the Z2 (NC31E) and the audio quality is awful. Even if i turn off the enhacement option in settings its not much of a deal. When i push in the headphones only for 4 pins (black ring between 4-5 pin is same as the black plastic ring under jack on phone) it gets slightly better but some songs such as Sail by Awol sounds weird and some parts are missing from the playback. Any fix?
Sounds great for me, had no issues. Came from the Z3+ and audio quality is way better to me and louder. My AKG Y55, K551 and my old Sony's MDR-10RC all work flawlessly.
I use tidal and Poweramp for my personal music.
On my Z3+ I had to use my fiio a1 to get decent sound and EQ then purchased a fiio k1 USB DAC that I use to drive my higher ohm headphones.
So I would advise buying a new set of headphones as the cable or aux plug might be damaged. For a decent in ear and low budget I would recommend sound magic E10 or a set of Sony MDR-650AP. Some Sony noise cancelling headphones are proprietary to Xperia's
Also a good clean audio mod is https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/soundmod-ainur-audio-t3450516
There is one under atlant for the OP3, I had to use the hotfix cm/AOSP version after updating to nougat. It's clean no fake EQ or "black magic"
If you get some alcohol rub and a cotton bud you could clean the jack just for good measure.
Lengthy comment I'm no audiophile but a enjoy my music alot.

Thanks for your advice, the sony headphones of mine are ok, i use them for gaming on laptop with HQ DAC and Nahimic and they sound good, but i think that the oneplus cant handle the 5-pin jack :/ I checked the soundmagic e10 and they look good, i will also look for the OnePlus Silverbullets which ppl say that are great and fairly underpriced (i have the 5€ code)

You wouldn't believe it, but the problem is in the music quality, not the phone or headphones. When i play same song on youtube it sounds great. Thanks for help !
