LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Hi, are these LOS 18.1 imagesany good? I see they are pretty recent but I can't find any info here, though tey are from the same repo of lineage 17.1, can they be installed without gapps/bitgapps?

This is my first time posting to XDA with a rom, especially never used it except posting comments, after the forum migrated to another one. Still not familiar with the editor, I'm sorry!
Working :
- SD Card
- IR Sensor (Install the app "IR Remote" from F-Droid to use it)
- Flip Cover (When you have it attached, it works )
- Everything else than not working
Not working:
- DMB (Probably impossible to fix )

I decided to build lineage 17.1 for myself since the official builds are no more available. The goal is just to get security updates and a minimalistic but stable ROM. Afaik everything works fine with this ROM. I will try to post the new versions as soon as I can after new android security patches will be available. I'm not a developer, so I am not able to do anything else. Use at your own risk. Perform a backup before installing it if you cannot afford to lose any data. The releases are currently unsigned, but in the future I will put my own signature.
