So my Mi9 has this problem that after been flash with stock rom via XiaoMiTool V2, the only that worked out for me, its boots like usual, but after some time it goes to that MIUI colorfull logo and won't return back, rebooting does not solve, just flashing the ROM again, but still with that problem, any solutions?

How long have you waited? Changing ROM will reset everything, like, everything. It may take unusually long (I'd say 30 minutes but could be more or less).

When i flash the ROM it boots up normal, take like 10 minutes to load to the greetings screen, to first configure the phone, but it only lasts less than a minute, it goes back to the MIUI Logo and never comes back.
Hi, exactly the same thing happens to me, simply that I have never flashed it, I have only changed the screen. Did you find the solution? sorry for my English
Thanks

Hi.
I bought a MI5 today...it was a "used" one...because it was on the hands of a friend for a day or two.
I know that the ROM that is installed is not an official one, becaus it has Portuguese, and the official one only has English and Chinese...and the GLOBAL ROM has Brasilian...and not Portuguese.
I tried to reset the device but...that didn't work out very well. It cleans some things but does not wipe completely the device. It even boots normally to the home screen.
If I try to enter recovery, the phone turns off as soon as the MI logo turns on.
What do you all sugest me to do?

The security got improved, there is a new recovery.
You can reset from settings, so that's fine. Make sure that your MIUI Account is logged in.
Hey, was just setting up my mi5 for custom roms. Got the bootloader unlocked, then installed TWRP via fastboot as per the instructions here (https://twrp.me/devices/xiaomimi5.html).
After I got into TWRP I made a quick backup of the image, and then set the phone to reboot. Now its in a bootloop, flashing the mi logo (and bootloader unlock on the bottom). Doesn't turn off, doesn't do anything when plugged into pc, fastboot reboot doesn't do anything.
Any ideas? Didn't think I had done anything wrong (done this kind of thing a couple times before).
Cheers!
EDIT: Hang on, managed to get into fastboot, I guess I should be able to sort things out from there? What should I aim to do. I can also get into recovery. Still won't boot into system anymore though.

Which twrp version are you using?
Did you actually flash any custom rom or do you try to start miui?
Did you change any partition?
Something similar happened to me one time. I solved it by doing the root right after installing the twrp. And magically started my rom.

So it won't stay off, even if you press power and volume up together for a few seconds? Which rom were you using, what did you do before it bootlooped, bootloader unlocked, etc...?

even it wont stay off, always bootloop;
If I remember well, first I unlock the phone with the code from sony; after launch the twrp with adp on pc (for a strange motive it (the phone) doesnt load the twrp without pc) , clean cache and co, like 2/3 times, after installing the new rom
it seems to me the omni rom 7.1.2

Sorry to repeat, but just to be clear - when you press and hold power and volume up, what happens? Are you saying it turns off, and then automatically turns back on, and bootloops?

Try fastboot flash, (different kernel or different recovery...), or flash stock rom with FT.

solved
but futhermore, another problem (hardware problem, I don't want to open another post):
today I open my cell phone because the screen had stuck, discovering that the connector had disconnected.. ok solved.. but the cellphone seems electrically charged, I mean more than 5 (I think) time I got the shock
any solution?/possible causes? (isnt the first time that I open the phone)
My device is stuck in the initial boot sequence in which the logo will show as if it is booting normally, then it will stay on this screen until it goes completely blank, at which point I have to hold the power button for a long period of time to get it back to the boot sequence. My phone is unlocked and I was trying my first time at flashing a custom recovery and OS, I flashed my device with TWRP and successfully installed it along with a flash of pixel experience, After using pixel experience I wanted to try lineage OS since it wasn't as good as I hoped, so I tried to get into the TWRP and I could not do it at all I tried every method I could search. After an hour of trying different methods of getting to twrp I tried to re-flash the recovery and that is when the phone because unresponsive and does what I have described above. I currently have access to fast boot and I dont want to go ****ing my phone up more than I have. If anyone can give me a step by step guide on how to fix this it would help so much since im new to android and I cant afford another £400 phone.
Thanks

Don't worry, things can be recovered easily. Until you get more knowledgeable and you understand more about flashing use this failsafe to recover from (almost) anything
Go here and get the latest fastboot ROM for your phone.
https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/raphael/
For now make sure you get the one that matches the region for your phone.
Then follow this guide to flash it
https://c.mi.com/thread-1857937-1-1.html
Use the fastboot flashing section.
Make sure you change the flash option to 'clean all' when flashing. The default option will lock the bootloader again after flashing. If you do the default option with any ROM that is not the same region as the phone you will hard brick the phone, this is why I recommend getting the ROM that matches your phone.
When unpacking the fastboot ROM, it is a Linux/Unix zipped tarball, most Windows zip software will need to extract it twice. The first time will give you a single .tar file (if it doesn't have an extension then rename it and add .tar to the end) You will then need to extract everything from the tar file, which you give you the folder, containing the ROM data, to point the Mi Flash Tool at.
After doing this you, if you've remembered to change the flash option to 'clean all', then you'll have restored to stock and kept the bootloader unlocked. Now you're good to try again.
Keep a copy of the fastboot ROM on your PC and back everything up on your phone before flashing. Then if you get in a mess you know how to easily recover things.
Once you get more experienced there will be other things you might be able to do, depending on the situation, that allow you to get things working without losing everything and needing to start from scratch.
Thanks

Thank you so much for the details post, I will try what you have said above and will report back with my results. I have one question if you know the answer ( My phone is the UK edition of the Mi 9T pro ) Would I need to download the global or EEA fastboot version.

For safety download the EEA ROM.
I also suggest you immediately flash dm_verity (https://forum.xda-developers.com/k20-pro/how-to/flashing-orangefox-recovery-mi-9t-pro-t3980579), after you flash twrp, wipe data and then flash that

Everything you said worded flawlessly and your a life saver. If you dont mind do you have a link to a set of guides on how to correctly flash a custom recovery and lineage OS? since when I try to research these guides I get 5 different versions of TWRP and lock my phone out

Please ignore all reply's above as I am going to make another separate post about lineage OS
Thank you for replying and resolving my issue.
I just wanna ask after the oct update i got bootloop now when i try to go to service center they told me that the problem is the motherboard. When i explain to them the reason i just update it then bootloop they always tell me the problem is motherboard. And i need to fix it and the cost is half the price of the phone. Now i need some help. When i try to turn on its stuck to androide one then off whne i try to go to fastboot its okay. When i charge it it turns on and off. I jus need some help.

is your bootloader unlocked?
If so, have you tried booting latest twrp image from fastboot?
Code:
fastboot boot twrp.img
Sounds like you may at least have to try to wipe and format your phone at the cost of all data.
But then you could use the situation to install a good custom ROM..
If you were doing a normal update, your phone should revert to the previous slot after a few attempted reboots.
Keep trying to reboot.
If nothing else works, try flashing september version from EDL (search it on the forums).
I flashed and still couldn't boot at first. I tried restarting a lot of times, until it got on the "Retry" or "Power off" option. I let the phone sit on this screen until it shut itself off. After tried booting up a few more times until it finally did.
I was not plugged in during this.
I'm not going near that october patch ever again.
Hello everyone,
I'm using mi A2 (64gb). It is rooted and was running on Resurrection Remix 8.6.2. Somedays earlier, I let my phone idle, suddenly it starts rebooting, just like bootlooping. After seeing that I booted in recovery and wiped dalvik and cache then rebooted and the phone rebooted in system successfully. But then I noticed the power menu appearing continuously on the home screen, I tried to dismiss it but it rebooted again and so on. From then, only the splash screen appeared for 8 seconds and it reboots again. I can boot into recovery or fastboot but only for 2-3 seconds then it reboots.
I've searched on the internet and was flashing firmware manually from fastboot but accidentally, I flashed an image file in a wrong location and the phone screen turned off and nothing appeared. Then I found that it had entered in EDL mode. but still it is rebooting and I can't flash firmware from mi flashing tool as fastboot wasn't working.
This is the problem of my phone. A help would be amazing! Thank you!
Ps. I'm new here and it is my first post so if anything is wrong. I beg your pardon and sorry for my bad English.

Try shorting testpoint in motherboard then enter EDL mode,
Then use mi flash tool.need to remove battery first.
How? Watch youtube, for mi6x. Mi 6x = a2, sort of.
~yes, you need to remove/open the phone.

U said rebooting even in edl, if not. Dont. Just make sure you have enough battery juice.
Use xiaomi tools. Or not, I uncompressed the file and click flash all.
