Probably your zip got corrupted....try to extract it in pc and check if it finishes without any errors...and if u get any error while extracting then its corrupt, need to download again

I can't get Magisk working. I used Magisk 21.0.
However, it does not boot when install it.
Any Ideas?

open the zip(not extract), navigate to /META-INF/com/google/android/updater-script
1)Open updater-script with a script editor such as notepad
2)Delete the first line of code (all the way up to the first semicolon you see) and delete the first semi-colon as well
3)Save and update archive

I figured it out.
One has to flash magisk canary before flashing Magisk.

the first time i use this rom, i have a question: why are you not add face unlock in?

It will came in the update, for now stability is the imp I think.

First of all its beta release, so don't expect every feature to be present in it!....faceunlock is not added in Rom source...i hope u understand

Is the two button navigation bar still available on this ROM?? Not particularly keen on the new one button gesture navigation bar.

You can change it in the settings:
Settings -> System -> Gestures -> System Navigation

So u have realme Q?...i am sorry to say that realme q can't flash this version....wait for 5.2, will surely fix this

Bug in charging, inaccurate info. Using VOOC it says 7.5W but using Ampere app, it measures up to 15W (4.++ volts and 3.++ amps)

Very nice rom, everything is working.
The only con is that you have to go to status bar settings to manually adjust clock distance from the border, otherwise you won't see the digital clock in the status bar

any reason why "Xiaomi Parts" setting's menu is removed? other than that it runs like a champ (at least on my device)

1-Open any Terminal Emulator app.
2-Type "su" to give it root permissions.
3- Copy and paste this command, apply it then reboot.

Go to TWRP and restore the efs partition only of a previous backup....then reboot....

is it stable?

I install ROM according your indications and all gone perfect except no RIL no data.
I restored efs partition from previous backup but still the same.
ROM is very fluid and responsive but without RIL and data is useless.
Thanks to developer for keeping our phone alive :good:

Its very early in the develop stage...In the OP the Dev listed this ROM as an Alpha build which means its still in the testing stage.....And that is what we do...we flash, play with it, notice a bug such as your RIL not working, and then post to let the dev no....then a new build will show up with improvements and the process starts over.....we are finally getting usable daily driver Android 10 Roms without many or any bugs within the last couple of weeks....right now Bliss crDroid, and Lineage 17.1 are prob the most stable

New build is up!

Do i flash this rom the same way as other Pixel 3XL Android 10 roms cuz don't have TWRP recovery for Pixel 3XL for Android 10 yet? afaik anyways

First impressions of this rom is really good, it's smooth has all the features I could ever want, installation was a but troublesome the boot.img didn't wanna play nice but once I got it all up and running mate it's been a solid rom ??

so if i were a total tool box, with zero experience flashing on a modern android phone, and had a bone stock unlocked 3xl, where would i find the idiots guide to flashing this? lol

Tried flashing this, but for some reason adb sideload is ending at 47% & giving me an error that's pretty much saying that this build has an older timestamp than my current build, which is on an april update

I flashed the boot, but it still rebooted to the bootloader indefinitely.The a / b partition has been converted, flash into B, and restart to A

Ok got the rom installed and everything is working and smooth and pretty, but I don't have the options for edge lighting that are in the screenshots up top. Is there a tweak I'm overlooking?

This rom is amazing!!! need work on some areas but still it's better than others time for being relatively new, good job !!
The bug it's killing me it's when playing games the device turns really hot and get very laggy compared to stock and other rooms

I think I manage to find the bug, changing it to vulkan graphics works way better but it's not perfect.

Thank you for the rom. I see you have added esim support, but my device says eid number not found.

Clean flash is always recommended which upgrading from older version of android to new one. but still u can give it a try by keeping same old data. if u faced any issue by doing this.. then go for clean flash.
Please join our telegram channel for further continuous support. u will get all type of help there as we are more active to attend u guys for queries. yes... u can use it without root... also there is a way to use any type of apps even by having magisk/root.

I had the same problem at first. I managed to get it working by switching to "OrangeFox" recovery (from PitchBlack), using the version here:
https://orangefox.download/en/device/oxygen
... then tapping the menu button on the far right:
then "manage partitions", "vendor" then "" and "Resize FS", swipe and back
then "manage partitions", "system" then "" and "Resize FS", swipe and back
(This might not have been needed but there were similar instructions for Evolution X 4.6.)
Then select "mount" from the menu screen, check "System" and "vendor", then press back
... then finally the folder for files, selecting the "FPC+Fix" zip, and swiping it to install with none of the options checked.
After that the zip It's entirely possible there's an easy way to do that with PitchBlack as well and I just missed it, but that's what finally worked for me. Hope it helps.!

No, however clean install is recommended.

fingerprint issue
I flashed the ROM and it's working good but I have a problem with the fingerprint. I installed FPC fix but I'm not able to unlock the phone with a fingerprint, it always wants me to enter the pattern. Although the fingerprint is working well for WhatsApp.

First Time Install / Clean Flash1. Download the proper ROM ZIP for your device
2. Reboot to recovery ( these with decryption support are recommended)
3. Install the latest firmware if not already installed
4. Format Data if you come from retrofit, EROFS or A12 in any case, and any other situation if your Data is encrypted
5. Wipe Data,Cache and Dalvik cache
6. Flash the ROM
7. Install Magisk if you want (v25.2 or newer are recommended)
8. Install the ForcedEncryption disabler if you want to keep your Data unencrypted
9. Reboot to System and #KeepEvolving
Update / Dirty Flash from the system's updater appYou can install OTA update from the system's updater app if your Data is encrypted, you only need the current EvolutionX recovery for Cepheus or a compatible recovery like the ones recommended above. If you acomplish these requirements, go to Settings/System/Updates, check for updates, download it if available and apply it, the system will do the rest rebooting in recovery, installing the update and rebooting the system.
It's not recommended to update using the system's updater app if you disabled the forced encryption previously since the process described above doesn't include the encryption disabler so your device wouldn't boot the system after installing the update and you would be stuck in the recovery being forced to Format Data and re-install the ROM.

@dkionline it's officially maintained so you can expect at least one monthly update with the latest security patch and all the changes in sources, but there could be more if there are significant fixes or improvements

Installed and all looks good so far. I have an issue with my local android USB drivers and i'm on my work laptop so can't update them means i have no fastboot so used EvoX recovery rather than TWRP, but sideload worked fine

Yeah it's safe to install this firmware. In fact this is the firmware which has been included with the ROMs the last few months.

I have it installed, good job, finally I was able to install android 13 without retrofit..thanks

Changelog for the latest update (08/January/2023)
**Notes:**
- Install latest firmware if you're using an older one
- Clean install required coming from EvolutionX A12 or a different ROM
- Dirty flash from previous build is fine
- No Retrofit and no EROFS so make sure to use a compatible recovery, TWRP is recommended

Bug in charging, inaccurate info. Using VOOC it says 7.5W but using Ampere app, it measures up to 15W (4.++ volts and 3.++ amps)
