After last update of app Google in my search bar the icon of assistant disappear and appear a icon of microphone.
I don't likes It very much i try to reset Google and launcher data and Also a factory reset.
Does anyone know how to return to the assistant icon?
I gave up trying to fight things like that and just use Nova Launcher. Nova has the option to fully customize the search bar.

Hello,
I found out that I can add Sense Widgets to the next launcher lite. They are full functional an resizeable.
In Apex or Nova launcher it isn't possible.
I was realy surprised that it is generally possible because in Sense 4 the widgets were integrated und Rosie, so why can I do it in Sense 5 and only in next launcher?

The calculator widget looks cut down
I resized it to add another widget

Are you running a custom Rom or stock?

Hi,
This is pretty cool. Apparently you can use widgets and home screen settings from ADW, LauncherPro, LG TouchWiz, and HTC Sense with the next launcher. The details page of the Next Launcher at the Play store indicate;
We introduced the following permission to support our new function – Migrate home screen from other launchers
com.htc.launcher.permission.READ_SETTINGS – Migrate from HTC sense
com.lge.launcher.permission.READ_SETTINGS – Migrate from LG Home
com.fede.launcher.permission.READ_SETTINGS – Migrate from LauncherPro
org.adw.launcher.permission.READ_SETTINGS – Migrate from ADW Launcher
org.adwfreak.launcher.permission.READ_SETTINGS – Migrate from ADW Launcher EX
org.adw.launcher_donut.permission.READ_SETTINGS – Migrate from ADW Launcher donut
How cool. I did not know this could be done. Maybe I can switch away from Rosie now.

It's a decent launcher but still has 1 major glitch, like all the 3rd party launchers ... Non transparent status bar. The ugly greyish colour permanently is just too much for me, have to hide the status bar but it still annoys me when I unlock and it momentarily flashes grey before it hides ... Why is it not transparent on any launcher?

I am not all into theming but from what I understand the status bar has to do with the SystemUI and not the Launcher. I have a custom ROM with status bar tweaks and transparency enabled. I just installed Next Launcher and my status bar is transparent. Most of the time. Some apps it turns grey like gMail, Play store. But I think it is more that these apps have that screen area not drawn, and other apps I use, have that screen area drawn black.
The SystemUI is also why all the status bar apps on the Play store also do not have transparency. All these apps do is draw over your existing status bar. Transparent Status bar requires specific settings per ROM. Do correct me if I am wrong about this.
You're probably right dude, it just annoys me that in order to customize my phone how i like, i have to put up with that lol ... OCD is to blame but still, the little flash of grey is better than all the time.
I just flashed 4.2.2 and it isn't possible anymore...

I am on stock sense 5 running Nova Launcher Prime and Widget Locker and UCCW. When I am going from lock screen to home screen all Icons and app drawer were gone (only blank screen with wall paper)... I have set up Blink Feed as a swipe gesture on Nova Launcher Prime, swipe gesture worked and when I return from Blink Feed, icons are back, lock and unlock phone, icons gone again... I reloaded Nova Launcher Prime and reset S5 back as default launcher and then reverted to Nova Prime and it seems to cured it... Anyone else see this sort of thing?

I have the exact same issue with the Zooper and Widgetsoid widgets randomly disappearing from my home screen and no apps in my app drawer, however I am running ViperOne 6.21 ROM and ElementalX 13.5 Kernel. Tapping the area where the widget was doesn't activate it. In the app drawer doing a search restores the apps in app drawer and sometimes the widgets on home screen. The widgets eventually reappear and will remain until the next unlock.
I really like the new launcher although what I don't like about the xperia launcher is that it doesn't have the persistent google search bar at the top..is there anyway to enable the launcher to do that?

You can add the search bar to every home screen by long pressing on each screen, then drag and drop the search bar widget from the Widgets menu.
Im running CM12.1 on my Nexus 5
My launcher is Trebuchet and I want the white Google Now search bar but I didn't found a solution how to do it, I can only enable the grey search bar wich refferens to Google's search.
Anyone has ideas to get the white Google Now search bar? Getting Google Now would be a solution but it doesnt seems to work on Trebuchet.
Hello
Since a few days, my calendar and clock icon does not stay up to date/hour anymore on my home screen.
I'm using Nova Launcher.
When I switch to default Samsung launcher, the icons show the current date or clock.
Any suggestions why they don't update any more?

I don't understand what icon you are writing about in Nova Launcher.
Show a screenshot.
The clock and calender icon.
Open the list of applications, hold the icon of an application for a while and drag it to that desktop you want.
Sorry, maybe I was not clear enough.
The calendar icon always showed the actual date in its icon.
Also the clock icon always showed the actual time in the icon. Now both are stuck/do not update any more.
The nova launcher had an update a long time ago. Look for recent Samsung app updates, delete their data and uninstall the updates (probably clock and calendar).
I deleted data and cache, even reinstalled Nova Launcher. The clock and calendar icons still do not dynamically update. I ended up deleting Nova Launcher and using Samsung default Launcher.

I only noticed this myself a few days ago but the clock app icon shows the correct time in the app draw... kinda cool but also a pointless waste of resources.
I'm having the same issue with Nova Launcher on an S23+. The clock and calendar icons are no longer dynamic.
