How to uninstall/disable Powergenie without ADB please? - Huawei P30 Pro Questions & Answers

Hello,
is any way how to uninstall or disable Powergenie without ADB please?
My laptop can't recognise my Huawei P30 PRO even with enabled USB Debugging Mode + Always prompt when connecting to USB + default MTP configuration (tried with more cables on more laptops).
I need to uninstall/disable Powergenie because of known delayed Gmail notification issue.

Help me with Samsung Galaxy Mini II

Hello.
Short story: my phone was a little wet and i have some issues with it, mostly i want to get a mass storage to get working. (cant root)
Basically at first the phone didn't even want to charge, when i connected it to the PC windows was giving me an error that the device cannot be recognized, and couldn't install the drivers. (i had Kies installed)
I dried it completely, now the phone turns on without any problem, when i connect it to the pc the phone is recognizing connection (i hear sound + the button backlights are firing up for a sec)
Homever, windows is not detecting any USB device at all, and in about phone/info it says the phone is connected to the AC instead of USB.
When i connect it with USB there is no dropdown in notification to choose from charging, storage etc.
There is also manual usb storage mounting under settings/communication/usb settings , when i'm trying to mount here it just says to connect the phone with usb cable (not detecting connection, homever the backlight + sound is here after connecting, and it's charging)
I tried connecting it with usb debugging on/off even tried to fiddle with in service menu (*#7284#) but nothing.
And since i cannot get the usb storage working basically i cannot flash anything or root it.
Also the USB cable is not a Samsung but an HTC one, could this be a problem? (people in different thread said those cables are the same so it shouldnt be a problem, same amperage, same stick etc.)
Even tried to install MountUSB Widget from market, but it doesn't work when im trying to start the app it's force closing, when i make widget on desktop and press it the phone just vibrate for 1 sec and nothing happens.
When i connect phone with Kies AIR and it works, i mean it shows the storage information, also recognize the phone model correctly, how much free space i have on internal and on SD card but i cannot click "show in explorer" it's greyed out.
Any experts out there could help me?

[Q] Cannot get ADB to detect TF701T.

I'm using Windows 7 x64 work computer. The only device ADB can recognize is my HTC Desire S phone. However, when I tried to get ADB to detect my Asus Transformer Pad, it fails to do so.
The Asus Transformer Pad TF701T is not rooted. I have no plans to root/unlock the tablet, other than to try and get the Chrome for Android to always "request Desktop site." I'm just trying to do this: http://droidnerds.com/content/how-to-permanently-have-desktop-mode-on-chrome-mobile-for-android/
I have USB Debugging checked and turned on.
I already have Android SDK installed with all components updated to the latest.
I have tried using MTP to see if ADB detects it. Fails.
I have tried using PTP to see if ADB detects it. Fails also.
Plugged the USB cord into MobileDock keyboard, that fails too.
I went ahead and update/reinstall Google USB drivers. That failed.
I uninstall the drivers, reboot, reinstall Google USB drivers. Failed.
Tried to find TF300 series universal USB drivers, nothing works from that thread.
Also tried the Asus PC sync, but notices those are for TF300 Eee PC, therefore I ignored it.
Is there something I amiss?
Yes, there is something amiss.
Replugging the device, with USB debugging off, then USB debugging on, the tablet displays a prompt asking me about USB debugging and its risks. Completing the prompt is what gets the device to be detected by ADB!
Well, so much time wasted on this simple task.

Glad you got it sorted out. There is one more thing that could help under those circumstances: Change the USB connection type to camera and back to MTP while connecting / disconnecting the USB cable in each state. That got me going, because somehow the USB driver wasn't able to kick in accordingly (both Win7 and Win8 64bit).
There should be a troubleshooting manual included with the tablet, as far as I'm concerned. Thanks for the tips.

Unintended change of USB-Mode (charging only) during ADB connection

Hi together,
during the attempt of acquiring data from the mobile P20 Pro (CLT-L29) (Android 9 - Security patch level 2019-10-06) by using the ADB (USB Debugging was activated), the USB-Mode was automatically changed to "Charging Only" instead of the preselected "MTP Protocol".
Is doesn't like that it's a matter of cable. I thought of security issues.
Maybe somebody has got an idea ?
Best regards
Simon
Hi, same issue here when connecting p20 pro to android auto via car usb. Set to mtp but keeps switching back to charging only. Did you find a solution?

Phone not connecting to PC

Hi All,
As per title, my Asus ROG Phone II is not recognized by my PC when I connect it through USB.
It's not even that ADB commands aren't working or such: even just connecting "normally" (e.g. without USB debugging activated), the phone will charge but won't show up in the PC, and vice-versa it won't appear as connected to USB in the phone settings.
I've tried with two different PCs and the problem persists.
Am I missing something?
Thanks,
TG

Unlocking the Xiaomi Mi Smart Clock

After seeing the success of getting the lenovo smart clock cracked open, I wanted to do something similar to my Xiaomi Mi Smart Clock, because it's a very similar device. Some of the exploit works, but some of it doesn't, and I've reached a dead end so thought someone else might have some ideas...
- Using the send feedback / privacy policy workaround, I can break out to webview and can use the browser (but there's no keyboard of course)
- I can get to 3rd party app stores but there's no downloading from webview (clicking on direct links just does nothing). Tested on a few different sites, so it's not specific to f-droid
- I've been able to get to other settings, by going to Accessibility global options, text to speech settings, and pasting items into the settings search.
- Settings have allowed me to unlock developer options, unlock bootloader, and enable usb debugging.
- The data pins on the micro USB port are connected, the device enumerates on Linux / Windows as "X04G"
- With usb debugging turned on, adb doesn't ever see any device connected. Tested on chromebook, Windows, Xubuntu.
- holding down a combination of mic toggle and volume on power on allows access to the recovery menu, including fastboot
- in recovery the device enumerates as an mtk fastboot device
- can't find any drivers (on windows) to do anything from stock recovery or fastboot... Nor can I do anything on Linux. But I'm not experienced with android modding and development, so this is my best bet so far. TWRP??
Other areas I've explored -
- no Bluetooth pairing, Bluetooth causes settings to crash
- crashing Bluetooth deliberately lets me launch the full settings app rather than just searching for individual entries - that's how I was able to get developer options turned on.
- From the full settings app, the device reports running on android 10 and has 1gb ram / 4gb storage
- USB OTG seems to be set to charge only, and attempting to access the usb settings also crashes settings
- Because of that, no wired keyboard and no usb mass storage works
- storage app allows navigation of the Filesystem, but there's not very much there
- a few other apps include a Bluetooth mesh app, stock music app, and contacts
- there doesn't seem to be any way to get into the device remotely, no ftp / remote adb - no wireless adb in developer settings because it's android 10
- I can manually turn on wireless tethering and connect to the device
- when tethered running ports are DNS, 8008, 8009, 8012, 8443, 9000, 10001 but I don't know if any of them are exploitable
Does anyone have any ideas as to how I might download or drop a file onto this darn thing? I feel like it's so close, but it's definitely a bit more locked down than the lenovo smart clock.
Hello, I am also interested in this matter
it doesn't open the browser for me, but I can pair via bluetooth, but I can't send a file
windows sees the watch as an mtp device but cannot do anything with it
and adb doesn't work :c
I have also been trying to get apps onto this device, but there is seemingly no way to download/get files into the device's memory. I have also tried everything you have listed, but to no avail.
You can get to bluetooth settings by searching it up, but the device is detected as a speaker by other devices, so no files can be sent.
I have also tried Wi-Fi Direct, I can connect to the clock, but sending files fails.
I will be still trying, as I've already gotten pretty far, but for now i'm still not able to install any apps.
