When i record a Voiceaudio inside Whatsapp the Quality is super bad but when recorded in a Video or with a Voicerecoding App the Quality is fine.
Whatsapp got all needed permissions.

I have noticed this a few times now that when I record something in Voice Recorder app the quality is appalling....its very bad. But when I shoot a video the sound quality suddenly improves. It becomes much better. I don't want to shoot videos every time even when I just want to record some voice. Video takes a lot of memory. So I would like to request the intelligent and smart people here to look into it and hopefully come out with a solution.

[Q] Video Recording Shutter Sound
So my only complaint with the Axon Pro is that if you use any application other than the normal camera app to shoot a video, it has a really loud shutter sound notifying you that it's recording. It doesn't make the sound in the camera app, so far I have tested it on Instagram, Snapchat, and Facebook Messenger. There is no shutter sound setting in the camera app. My phone is on silent and it still makes the noise.
Is there any way to remove that? I'm assuming you can do it with root access once this phone is rootable.

You're likely unable to do this without root. In several countries, it's illegal to have no shutter sound on your camera to prevent voyeurs from secretly snapping pictures and video in places you're not supposed to.
I wanted to double check, but by turning off the shutter tone under the camera settings, you also disable the tone for video.

I'm on MinimalOS 2.5, XT1068, and my recorded WhatsApp voice notes are extremly quiet. I found out that WhatsApp is probably using the secondary mic (?) on the top of the phone and not the primary on the bottom. WhatsApp calls, video recording, normal phone calls, etc are not affected.
Is there some kind of software solution or file I can edit, that forces WhatsApp to use the primary mic?
Any help is welcome

It uses the Bottom Mic which is also your speaker, try blowing on it while recording a voice note and i don'f find them extremely quiet, maybe its because of Minimal, try a Stock Rom

Hey guys . While i record voice in whatsapp and facebook its a little noisy not like stock OOS.. is that the normal fact ?
I don't know if it happens to everybody, but when I record a video on Instagram Stories, even if is with a good quality when recorded, when I upload it, it's with a horrible quality, all laggy and ****. Is there any fix for this? Recording a video from stock camera then posting it improves the quality?
I've noticed the same thing, its pixelated and laggy, Snapchat don't have this problem.
I have the same problem. Anyone have any news on the topic?

I've heard that upgrading to Android Pie or downgrading Instagram version will help on the video quality. It's not like all stories from my friends are also low quality as I am...
