Hey , i was just wondering if there's already gcam for redmi 9c . Currently im using gcam but its version is too old i.e. 3.2.045 .
Not working for me
Are you having problems with your cam? mine looks so blurry and grainy when zoomed in, not normal because even an old redmi 2 prime take better pictures than mi 9C
Can I get the link for the GCAM you're using right now? Cause mine is Go Edition.

Any way to get Pixel 2 camera app on Note 9? Like we have on OP6, S8, Note 8 etc?
The stock Samsung camera isn't nice?
Don't get your hopes up. I don't think it worked really well on the S9+ and since they about the same camera... Well, time will tell.

I have it working on my phone - not 100% but pretty close. I am on N960F Exynos.
Portrait mode on main Camera works well (But not on Front/selfie camera) there are a few bugs, but it really works pretty well -

Say "cheese", then rate this thread to express how photos taken with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro come out. A higher rating indicates that photos offer rich color (without over-saturating), sharp detail (with all subjects in-focus), and appropriate exposure (with even lighting).
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
I'm really happy with the photo quality on this phone, it's pretty good for the price (and in case anyone is wondering, yes, it's better than the Note 5 Pro). I'm satisfied with it but I still can't wait for someone to bring the Pixel Camera to this device, I'm sure it could improve the picture quality even more.
Photo Quality after latest update to 10.0.5 is reduced a lot...
Is there any solution on this?

I don't know about teh software upgrade, but if you look at the review of the Note 6 Pro in GSM Arena, go to 5.Camera and open the "photo compare tool", and select the Redmi Note 5 AI for comparison, the picture quality is much better than the Note 6.
The camera is supposed to be the same, but Note 6 seems to have excessive noise reduction and much less detail.
Anybody knows why?

I'm running latest MIUI software versions and the daylight quality shots with stock camera is excellent.
The night shot quality could be improved when compared with GCam.
Regards,
Photo quality is good, but I do not see as many details as with my previous J7 2015 (when I zoom in). But the overall image quality is much better (real colors, good lighting) .
I am disappointed with the camera cause the Mi A2 has better camera.

Hi
I have enabled cam2api with root (magisk) on a custom ROM (lineageos 17) and I cannot find a camera app that uses the full capacity of the phone cameras. I only get one 12MP on the rear camera and one 5MP on the front camera. I used gcam, open cam, lineageos snap...
Normally (on stock MIUI) it's a dual 12MP and 5MP cameras on the front and dual 20MP and 2MP cameras on the rear.
Does anyone know how to get the full capacity of the phone's cameras without going back to MIUI global ?

I think you said it otherwise: RN6Pro has on front a 20MP main and 2MP lens to depth and on rear, 12MP and 5MP lens.
I am using the Official 20200602 Lineage OS build and i can take photos with:
- The snap camera on rear can be shot with 20MP resolution and the front with 5MP.
- The Miui flashalble zip camera for android 10 can reach full resolution, but lack of front camera on manual mode.

Hi, I also have the official lineageos and tried to flash the canera after mounting system and vendor in TWRP but the app doesn't work. I don't know where I went wrong
*EDIT*
Actually it's working, I had to authorise access to camera in the properties
I'm still using the stock camera on stock ROM. Couldn't enable api2 as any attempts to unlock my bootloader have failed. I like the photo quality better than my wife's new 9 Pro Max. MP difference aside, there is less visible noise in 6 pro vis-a-vis 9 Pro Max. Same applies to selfie camera as well.
However, I do like the macro camera of 9 Pro max, and wish there was night mode on 6 Pro as well. Mi could just enable camera 2 API out of the box, but chooses not to for some reason.
Redmi note 6 pro image quality
The image quality is quite good. In this low budget price range Note 6 pro giving such good quality images. But after the latest update, the image quality is reduced. Idk it only happens to me or every Redmi Note 6 pro user will face this issue!!
Why put different camera sensors in redmi 8 global and redmi 8 India and China?
is there any difference when it comes to picture quality? And how do I know which version do I have?

India and China have better sensors IMX363 which is located in google pixel 4 for example, therefore should with good gcam better pictures.
My current phone is Samsung Galaxy S10+.
I really like its 2K AMOLED screen, stereo audio, UI and the cameras.
My main focus is photography and videos (mainly with rear camera) and I get mad that I can't take a good astrophotography and I don't have a fully compatible GCam (My only cons.).
What do you guys say abaout an upgrade to Xiaomi Mi 11?
It will worth sell my S10+ to buy it?
PS: My budget can't afford Galaxy S21 Ultra or Mi 11 Ultra.
Thanks bros!
Stay safe!
These smartphones don't have enough light gathering capability for good astrophotography.
At this time my prime choice is still the Note 10+ running on Pie.
No Q or 11 scope storage or other cpu cycle robbing security bs.
The Note 20U be my next choice.
Both Android and Samsung have been playing the wicked game of drop the ball.
Nobody is the winner is when playing that game

I know we are talking about smartphones, not DSLR cameras.
Take a look at the picture attached. I got this one with my old Mi 9.
When I mean "astrophotography" is take picture like this for fun.
What I want to know is if I'll have a better photo/video package comparing to S10+

That's a damn fine shot
I'm surprised you could do that with any smartphone. Pro cams have more precision controls to easily dial it in.
I know what your saying but a 10 mm lense grabs only a fraction of the light that a 67 mm can. Size matters
Used cam bodies and lens can be had at reasonable prices if you look.
I coming from mi 9
It wasn't worth to upgrade to mi 11, in my opinion
The mi 11 ist better in low light, but the camera is slower , slower taking pictures or slow autofocus or wrong focus.
Since I own both of them, I would probably recommend the Galaxy S20FE over the Mi 11 if you are interested in pictures. The 3 lenses on the FE really give it an advantage over the Mi 11 in my opinion (especially with the 3x telephoto). I also prefer the software processing on the FE over what you get with the Mi 11. However you can use Google Photos editor to adjust color and dynamic range on the Mi 11 photos to make them look as good as you get on the FE. The Mi 11 DOES capture more detail with the 108MP lens for sure.

I aimed for Mi 11 to keep the 2K AMOLED screen and stereo audio. I really appreciate these features.
I'm not the guy that take a picture and post it as it was taken, I always edit them in Adobe Lightroom.
I'd like to fell free to use GCam and its features without headache or limitations (My S10+ is Exynos).
Here with S10+ I make macro pictures using 2x zoom lens + macro lens I made myself.
Check the picture I attached

I see your'e really talented in mobile photography.
Currently I do own both Mi 11 and Mi 10 Pro. They do share same sized 1/1.33" sensors, but Mi 10 Pro has wider aperture of f1.69 (exif says f1.65) and Mi 11 has f1.85. Also Mi 10 Pro has 8P lens which helps with distortion and I do see some more details too.
I've attached my test image using same settings and Mi 10 Pro has clear advantage in gathering light vs Mi 11 (check picture - on top Mi 11, on bottom Mi 10 Pro (brighter). Mi 11 just has a little bit better processing and makes it just a bit quicker because of SD888. But SD865 is better optimised system at this moment. Also the processing of SD888 advantages does not matter then using gcam - there Mi 10 Pro has clear advantage. The slower aperture of mi 11's f1.85 could be possible better on daytime, but it's not the case.
My advice would be to go for Mi 10 Pro / Ultra if your'e interested in photography/ videography and especially in low light. Mi 11 Ultra is best, but it is pricey.
Mi 11 is overall very nice device to hold and use, I'm loving it. But not battery time - for me it's bad as it was with mi mix 3.
Some users suggested S20 FE with their 1/1.76" f1.8 sensor - if it's 5G version you get SD865 and imx555 - this is best regular bayer sensor for mobiles on android. No BS like on those "now ordinary" quad or nona bayer sensors with artifacts. I like how it performs. Made some test's with Mi 11 in comparision - in day time I prefer S20 FE's videos (photo's are great, but details of 27mpx wins slightly with mi 11). In low light Mi 11 has slight advantage of gathering more light / better noise control of bigger sensor (raw images). In some cases S20 FE wins, in more cases Mi 11. I hate Mi's default camera processing, so using only RAW images shot on pro mode or using GCAM. Then it has clear advantage over S20/S21 basic models (otherwise not - because of inconsistency).
Also good phone for astrophotography would be Vivo X60 Pro + - big sensor 1/1.31 and F1.57 aperture.
Few months already I'm considering upgrade first to Xiaomi 12S Ultra and after that to the newly announced Xiaomi 13 Pro ...
I would make this EXPRESSIVE upgrade only because of the new 1" camera sensor, because I'm absolutely HAPPY with all other hardware & software capabilities of my old good Redmi Note 10 Pro ...
Today I have made a simple Camera compare between the 3 phones using the Original pictures made from the very detailed reviews made by GsmArena.com.
I read their web page and watch their YouTube channel especially when I consider a phone upgrade ...
I have made a copies in a google drive folder below of all the pictures on the same place or scene which they have made reviewing each phone.
You can examine and compare each picture using the link below:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1OLcGHzF4wlWT8539NMHNQpR0Jy41oiG-
CONCLUSION:
I'll NOT change my Redmi Note 10 Pro for a 6-7 times expressive phone only because of the good Marketing and Hype!!!
I'm shooting 95% pictures during the day in GOOD light and in this conditions as you can see alone there is almost NO ANY DIFFERENCE between the pictures made with Redmi Note 10 Pro / Xiaomi 13 Pro / Xiaomi 12S Ultra ...
FACT!
Yes, I understand very well that the video capabilities and the Night picture quality with the 1" sensor and new chipset are much much better, BUT as you can see alone comparing the pictures made during the day in good light actually there is NO ANY difference!
I can't see any big difference between the pictures made in good light condition with phone with cost of $200 and $1 000+
The 1" sensor is Very Good Marketing, Xiaomi!!!
Our Camera hardware is producing very good pictures if you are shooting with Redmi Note 10 Pro using the Leica Camera Mod in RAW and export the images using Lightroom app on your phone you get almost brilliant detail and quality!!!
But have to say that the latest fine tuned Leica Camera Mod especially version LeicaCameraMod-4.7.230121.1-GLSPALR.zip
is generating JPG pictures with very good overall quality shooting in the regular Photo mode.
