[ROM][LOS14.1][7.1.2_r29] DARK ROM [OMS][Pixel features][Delta updates][11/02]

Hi guys,
I'm building an extra lean LineageOS 14.1 ROM for axon7 with a few added features. A lot of packages have been stripped down, only the bare minimum is built to provide a fast and stable ROM. That gives you much more freedom as you can install exactly what you really want from the Playstore. You can install most of the missing packages manually, they are available in a flashable zip on the server (see second post).
My approach for DARK ROM 14.1 is to add as many Pixel features as possible while keeping a solid LineageOS base.

Screenshots
SafetyNet
The ROM is already designed to pass SafetyNet out of the box. No need to lock the bootloader (which I advise you to do ONLY on a pure factory image install) because the kernel has the patch for it. If you want root, you'll need to install Magisk, which comes pre-rooted. Then, enable Magisk Hide in Magisk Manager, hard reboot and you should be good to go. Also, do not enable busybox in Magisk Manager, that will cause you to randomly lose root. You'll get all you need to know on the Magisk thread.
ViPER4Android/ViPER4Arise
The ROM is designed to work with both ViPER4Android and ViPER4Arise out of the box without the need for SuperSU or any Magisk module. The SEPolicy already contains the necessary permissions for them to work even in Enforcing. All you need to do is flash the package of your choice.
Installation
Please refer to the official LineageOS thread for recovery or other device specific images (radio, bootloader, vendor).
If coming from any other ROM
- Backup first... always backup first
- Wipe system, data, cache and dalvik cache
- Install DARK ROM
- Install provided GAPPS (mandatory)
- Install root package of your choice (I recommend Magisk)

- Backup (you know it)
- Dirty flash DARK ROM
- Install root package of your choice

To download delta updates
Go to Settings/About phone/System updates and use the OpenDelta app to automatically download delta updates.
Delta Updates
Here are a few explanations on how to use delta updates. First, you will need to keep the first full build you downloaded on your sdcard (any full build that have NIGHTLY in the filename will do). I recommend that you keep it on the root of your sdcard until you flash a new build with the OpenDelta app. After that, the OpenDelta app will automatically place a new flashable zip inside the OpenDelta folder that will be used for the next delta updates. At that point you can delete the build on the root of your sdcard, but you will need to keep the (latest) file in the OpenDelta folder at all times to keep the delta updates working.
You will also notice a folder named FlashAfterUpdate in the OpenDelta folder. As its name suggests, any flashable zip files that you put in this folder will be flashed automatically after the update. I recommend that you put all your extra flashable zips there, cause if you use the app to auto-flash the latest build, it will reboot automatically after updating, which means you won't have the opportunity to manually flash other zips. If you want root to survive, you need to put your root package there.

Extra Packages
On the server you will find a file named ExtraPackages_date.zip which contains a few apps that are not available out of the box in my builds (see list). You won't have to flash it every update, since there is a survival script. I suggest you open the zip and remove the files you don't need before flashing it the first time.

Note that if you install my GAPPS and the complete Extra packages, you'll end up with two Phone app and two Contacts apps. Simply delete the GoogleContacts and GoogleDialer in the system/priv-app and reboot. If you choose to use the AOSP Dialer instead of Google Dialer, you'll need to go to Settings/Apps/Gear Icon (top right) and choose the AOSP Dialer as default phone app, otherwise you won't be able to make calls.

On an update / dirty flash the Theme Interfacer is crashing. Not possible to apply themes.
After I get some sleep I'll do a clean flash and see what happens.

It seems like the latest update broke the themer interface on other devices as well (Nexus, OP3). I'll wait for an update to be pushed (if OP wants to push it) and I'll give it a try. Thank you for your interest in developing for this device @Dark_Eyes_ !

Wow! This ROM makes a great device even greater. Smooth, fast, and well designed. Did a little upgrade with omniswitch and Phonograph player - and it looks perfect.

New build with Substratum fix is up now, dated 0811. I removed the 0808 build from the server to prevent accidental use of it.

Update: filled the "flash after update" folder during download with the zips needed (extras, omniswitch, magisk). Everything flashed without any issue. Thanks again.

I don't speak German much, but it fails because you don't have the right version for something. Look in the official LineageOS thread for minimal requirement and install whatever is needed. It says something about TrustZone...

I tried with two different​ TWRP....I'll do some research

[ROM][UNOFFICIAL][LOS14.1][7.1.2_r29] DARK ROM [OMS][Pixel features][November 23rd]

I have decided to bring one of my favorite ROM's for the Nexus 5 to the Mi 5s.
This ROM is UNOFFICIAL and unsupported, no responsibliity is taken or implied by myself or any developers involved. If you brick your phone buy a new one!

- Install DARK ROM
- Install GAPPS (mandatory or you will not have core apps)
- Install Magisk if you want root[/COLOR]
- Install launcher if using nano GApps[/COLOR] Dark Pixel Launcher

- Flash DARK ROM
- Install Magisk

Known Issues:
Setting up fingerprint on initial install may be broken. If it fails, kip the fingerprint setup then once the setup is complete go to settings > security and choose pin or pattern unlock, set that up and then you can add fingerprint unlock.

You need to install gapps from the first post and whatever other apps you want from the Play store and then it will all work.

Xposed not working for me (see log attached). Unable to turn on network traffic in status bar. Unable to attach file directly, so adding a Google drive link of log file : https://drive.google.com/file/d/15tJGgh5IZTiLz89GZDC2nFozeNqApRZB/view?usp=drivesdk

My dudes, I'm having some trouble installing this ROM. I've tried starting fresh with a clean install of the latest MIUI global stable. Then I tried flashing the dark ROM, dark gapps, then the dark pixel launcher. I tried the same thing twice, and one of those times I also flashed the extras package. Each time I've tried, the ROM just reboots part way through the initial setup (after flashing, not in TWRP)
Any idea what I'm not doing right? I like to think I'm no amateur at flashing devices, but this one's got me stumped.

Samsung Keyboard v3.2 fixes that. v3.3 has such problem (even on android 8.0)

Gboard can be pulled using props. Bootloop is a problem, if u can help me solve the bug, I would really appreciate it.

Works great with my OnePlus 5

Thanks for your work on this useful module.
I use this on my Zenfone 5Z to get Safetynet/GPay working. Also gave me the ability to use my Google assistant hotword when my screen is off.
Although when this module is active, I lose access to my AUX camera. Editing my vendor/build.prop does not help (specifically editing the vendor.camera.aux.packagelist property). Uninstalling the module gives me back access to AUX camera in all camera apps.
Is there a way I can get around this? Seems like my actual build.prop values are being ignored, thus vendor.camera.aux.packagelist is not set and my camera apps aren't granted access to AUX camera. Any thoughts?
EDIT: I found the config files pixelarity9 and 10 under /common. After editing the values in there, AUX camera now works :good:
EDIT 2: Apparently this completely breaks BlueTooth for the Zenfone 5z

I've been trying to install this on my Nexus 7 2013 (running Pie-AOSP Extended). After a successful install, my Nexus 7 (2013) will not boot; uninstalling it in recovery returns my N7 2013 to working order. Pix3lify seems to work fine, but I'm stuck with another Boot Animation.
Works fine on my Nexus 6 (running Pie-AOSP Extended) with no issues, and I had both Pixelarity and Pix3lify installed there. What am I missing to get this working on my Nexus 7 2013? Running Magisk 19.4 on both Nexus 7 and Nexus 6.
