Riru core is not installed - Xposed General

Good evening to you all
I'm trying to install xposed framework
I have magisk installed
I downloaded Riru v22.2 from the official site, and flashed it once using magisk manager and I tried also using TWRP.
And when I try to install xposed framework it keeps showing installation failure because riru core is not installed.
Any help please?
Thank you all

Edit: I tried riru 21.3 and it was installed successfully, but modules still couldn't recognise that it was installed, and kept saying to install xposed framework.

some error.
Riru apk recognize riru core
But give me the error "no riru-core installed" when i try to install EdXposed
Im using a Galaxy A71

It seems no one knows the solution

Same problem. Happened after updating the riru core through magisk to latest version.
Seems like ed exposed binaries need to be updated.
Solved. Just downgrade riru to version 21.3 ..
Sent from my hero2lte using XDA Labs

How can I install an older version? If I try to install Riru 21.3 it's greyed out and is a bin file not a zip

I experienced the same thing, but when I tried to install again from scratch ... everything returned to normal in JASON android pie

same here....

Works for me:
Riru (Riru - Core) v21.3
Riru - EdXposed v0.4.6.0_beta(4471) (YAHFA)
EdXposed Installer v2.2.5

Same problem, But I fixed it.
Install Riru v23.1
Open your EDXposed manager, select canary update channel
Download zip and flash it in your magisk manager
Reboot, all is done

I love you.

Trying to switch to Riru v23.4 it broke with above error 'riru - core not installed' and 'framework not active'.
To fix:
go to 'Canary' TAB in EDXposed Manager, download, and install v0.5.2.0_4672-master (from storage/magisk, or recovery)
install riru v23.4
Edxposed manager v4.5.7
no need for v21.3.

the only reason i use xposed is because of these modules sudohide, minminguard, xprivacy and xposededge. thats why i rollback to riru core( 21.3 ) and my edxposed core & manager.

They do work.
riru 25.4.4
edxposed 0.5.2.2
No fiddling, straight up works on my OP 7 Pro 10.0.38.
@Edxposed group on telegram if you need help, but you shouldn't.
Only thing is I used the riru 25.4.4-DisableSELinuxCheck version from the tg group. Not sure if it's necessary, but it's what they recommend.

I already posted a thread about this. It's pretty much the top thread here atm In Magisk forum. Keep it in core only mode until Magisk 13 when it is fixed. Google updated their SafetyNet, that's all! The magisk 13 beta does not pass, but the dev has fixed it. Just wait for full magisk 13 release!
Okay i will wait magisk 13 thank you for your help

ohh nice, magisk hide works, then enable all your modules and run the commands of my previous post. Tell me the result, included the log.
I just did a fresh install, and Installed the newest magisk 13 beta. everything works for me. i installed all modules, and safety net passes without being on core only mode.

Until the full magisk 13 release, a.k.a not in beta, the only way to pass currently is core only mode. Check the thread I posted as I was the first one to report it here in Magisk forum. Even with 0 modules installed, you won't pass safetynet without core only mode atm. So easiest fix for now until full 13 release is to install magisk 12 and enable core only mode. You can flash any system mods that don't use magisk and you should be ok.

thanks for the info.. but I can just wait till the official 13 build. the only reason I used magisk hide was for pogo but I don't play that anymore, few times to use android pay. but I just play Walking War Robots now(if they start using safety net ill stop playing android games all together). anyway thank you.
the new 6-16 beta, safety net passes, core only not needed

Hello friends,
I have ZenFone 2 running on LineageOS 14.1 and rooted with magisk. I can pass the safetynet only if the core mode is ON and magisk hide is ON. Thats all fine but my problem is after sometimes all of a sudden i cant pass the safetynet even though the Core mode and Magisk hide is enabled. I am unable to figure it out that exactly when does it happens. Sometimes i restart my device i am unable to pass but other times i restart the device it does pass. Its unpredictable. But i want to know the root cause of the problem. Why all of a sudden i am not able to pass the safety net even though Core mode, Magisk hide is enabled? Also my USB debugging is off.
EDIT- So i flashed a magisk module name "universal safety net fix" and after that even after turning OFF the core mode i am able to pass the Safety Net Hurrah!!!! All credit to the modder who made that module.

Magisk v17.1 and Xpose Module --> kills Magisk Hide/SafetyNet fails

I have a unlocked, rooted Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 running 7.2.1 (Viper mido version)
Got the Magisk v17.1 update this morning. I needed to remove Magisk 16.x via the uninstaller, and install the new update from TWRP Recovery. (a pain, but it seems to work. regular upgrading has a few issues)
Then I installed my preferred Magisk modules. All seem to work as they should except the Xpose Framework v89-v90b3r11 module. When installed it kills Magisk Hide and SafetyNet fails, when I uninstall it, SafetyNet succeeds again (Magisk Hide is usable).
For for now, until the Xpose Framework module is fixed, if you want to use Magisk Hide, probably can't install the Xpose module.
Cheers,
AB
You won't be able to pass SafetyNet if you have Xposed installed on your device. This has been the same since the start and not a Magisk v17.1 thing.

Funny that, I had it working before. Possibly blind luck. I had Magisk installed and the Xpose Framework, and SafetyNet/Magic Hide was usable.
I just was using only one of Xpose's Module. So I don't need Xpose at all.

Maybe when you were using it, that particular app wasn't able to detect Xposed framework & only checked for root, which was tricked by Magisk Hide. And now the developer might have improved the checks or what not.

Does your banking work without Xposed Installer app installed? My internet banking app detects root if Xposed Installer manager is installed. So what I do is installing or updating the Xposed modules, rebooting, and then uninstalling Xposed manager, and all modules will still work, as they only require that Xposed systemless files (v89.3) are installed.

Yes, it looks like it might have been the way I installed the apk after Magisk, but before Xpose-framework. I inadvertently used some 'loophole' that allowed it not detect root, but still have Xpose installed.

BengaliBhai,
You probably need to reinstall Magisk.
1) Download the Magisk-uninstaller.
2) Boot to TWRPS (reovery)
3) run the uninstaller. (which should bring back your original boot partition)
4) then install Majisk v17.1
5) reboot into system.
Now Majisk Manager should be fully functional.
I ran into this, v17.0 installed, but MM 5.9..0 wasn't working correctly, not showing modules, not allowing access, etc... Then I got the v17.1/5.9.1 update and still did the same. No boot-looping, but 'root limbo'. The above process resolved it all.
Cheers,
AB

Magisk manager/app refuse to open after *recent* update.

Hey so I realized that Magisk won't open after update v22 if im not mistaken. It just opens, asks to do a "full installation", when I press ok it does some stuff in the background and closes asking to restart the app over and over. I'm confused why this happens as Magisk has worked previously.

goto magisk github and download magisk v22 apk manually then install it usually when that error box show it open google chrome but on your case it didn't ...
oh upon reinstalling it, it seems like the app "works" now for the most part but I have a new issue. I have lost root access and can't manage to get it working back. I flashed the apk in my recovery as the instruction said, according to twrp logs everything installed properly (didnt exit with any error codes) and after I rebooted my phone Magisks detected the installed state as N/A.
Any idea why?

Solving the same issue as OP right now. Can't see about disabling magisk hide in the changelog, am I at the right page? https://topjohnwu.github.io/Magisk/changes.html
EDIT: nevermind, found it: https://topjohnwu.github.io/Magisk/releases/22000.html
Anyway is there a way how to disable Magisk Hide without Magisk Manager?
Hello I have the same problem. I Updated magisk to 23.0 without disabling the hide magisk. Root seems to be lost , NA indicated in magisk. Magisk manager no more available. I can't see any magisk manager installed anywere. I did you succeed to remove one magisk manager ? Using which tool ? I use a redmi note 9 pro
A bit of a necro, so I won't tag the OP, but when something is resolved, you can either Edit the OP, or choose the three-dots in the upper-right corner of the OP, and choose Edit, and then add the tag:

Hello,
I'm using LSPosed 1.7.2 Zygisk with Magisk v24.1 on Android 11 (LineageOS 18.1 on Xiaomi Mi A1) and "Disable FLAG_SECURE" 1.0.1 from lsposed.
I can select which apps to enable for this module clicking on module name and selecting apps.
I'm using "Deny List" on Magisk (disabling enforce) for hiding root (with Shamiko module).

Half your DenyList isn't activated properly. Which means root isn't completely hidden from a lot of apps. Make sure to check all the boxes for each specific app.

[Solved by 208]Today's( Feb 26 2023) canary refused to open

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this. I haven't seen this reported yet.
First specs: Unlocked Pixel 6 Pro. February update. Only mods are systemless hosts and usnf 2.4.0 displax mod 1.2. No hide enabled. No google services in deny list.
Opened magisk today and saw there was a canary update. I ran the update. And magisk wouldn't open (flash on screen back to home). Only updated app not boot.
Tried to redeem by:
Reboot
emptying cache reboot (did not work)
Emptying data reboot (dnw)
Installing magisk stable from github reboot (generic app icon no open)
Install magisk last canary (had to go to apkmirror for it couldn't find it anywhere else, works but would rather use official source)
Anyone else experience this with today's? Bookmarked github will wait to update til it shows a further update (unless someone has help for me).
I had the same issue but with originally hidden magisk app.
I got back to the version before the update by removing the hidden magisk (long press, info, uninstall), uninstalled the new canary (same way) and then installed the last version (25206) again.
now it works, all modules are there, all settings are back.

Not everything is well. You can't hide Magisk app under other package, Hide Option doesn't work. Some apps require Magisk to be hidden under other name.

I went back to 25206, no big deal for now. That is what the Canary builds are.
