Fail Screen ?????? - Google Pixel 5 Questions & Answers

Since this morning I have this famous point that we see on all screens. the same I reboot the phone.
Have you ever seen this? In your opinion would this be the screen that is defective?

That's the proximity sensor. It's a known bug, not a defective screen. Solutions include switching off "raise to speak" in Telegram to turning off "flip to shhh" in phone gestures.

Hi, thank you for your help. All option about sensor are desactived and i don't use Telegram. Have you got an other idea ? Could you share me a source about this bug ?

Take a look at this post, there are a few others around: https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-5/help/flickering-dot-display-notification-t4176787
There are reports that this bug is also happening if you restored your data/apps from another phone to the Pixel 5 using a cable.
If you did this with a cable, try a factory reset and then restore your google data using WiFi.

Screen does not turn on after turning off

Hi all,
For some reason the screen does not turn on after locking the phone. If I reboot it, the screen works completely fine, I can access all the apps, etc. However, as soon as I turn off the screen, it does not turn on. I can still use it because I can hear the tapping sound but the screen does not light up.
I know this question was asked a few times already but there were no replies, so I decided to ask again.
Need details mate, did you change the kernel? What is your Android version and rom, using stock? On the other hand, do you receive black and white notification screen when receiving messages?

I faced this problem on BlissPop but I don't remember the version. However, even on stock rom screen still does not light up :/ Black and white notification screen does not appear, as well.
Seems to be a hardware problem, maybe the sensor. I suggest you to contact Motorola for online support.

Audio stutter mostly when screen is off

So I've had this problem since I bought the phone a few months ago. When listening to music on Spotify or Google play music with the screen turned off the sound begins to stutter randomly, sometimes when I touch the finger print sensor and sometimes it happens without me doing anything. This also happens when the screen is on but less frequently.
Are you having the same issue? If you are, feel free to reply and perhaps post a solution to this problem.
I am, posted it in the official support forum and some rep told me "they will look into it", did you manage to get it working? thought it was an antenna issue (mine doesnt support my carriers LTE basebands but works fine on 3G) but it happened even when I put the device on airplane mode

Nope, I haven't been able to fix this issue. I even flashed resurrection remix custom rom(which is very stable) by zormax but even he couldn't fix this problem.
My device's model is XT1771 btw

Damm, must be an issue with the fingerprint reader and/or pocket detection, it happens less when I'm holding the device or put it "backwards" in my pocket (screen not in contact with my leg)
Did you have the problem with the original stock rom? I upgraded as soon as I got it and according to some posts in the official forum it wasnt an issue before.
Or maybe the xt1771 model is just crap (I have the same one)

I had the same problem with the stock rom. I think there maybe a way to fix this by completely disabling the finger print sensor. Basically the system won't be able to detect the fingerprint sensor at all. I think it might work but I don't know how to do it.

Maybe using a flip cover could work, personally I cant stand them but they should at least cover the fingerprint sensor.
Apparently this model is the only one that has that issue, doubt we will get another OTA update that fixes this but who knows. I issued a bug report, but it will be a miracle if they even read it

Honestly I wouldn't go back to stock even if they fix this issue. Resurrection Remix offers so much more and is so much faster than stock rom at everything. Games run smoother and camera app is way better with built-in filters and more recording options. And the customization is just amazing. I really recommend u flash it if u haven't already.
Here's the link to the forum

If u need help flashing just PM me
Btw the stuttery 60fps youtube problem on stock rom is fixed in ressurection remix
Thanks, might try it if I'm able to get the unlock code and TWRP running
So far no luck but really haven't tried more than once and probably forgot to enable USB debugging or something like that. Will give it a shot during the weekend

I didn't need any unlock code to unlock the bootloader. I just used the adb command using cmd and it unlocked immediately. Be careful flashing the new rom. If you delete the nvram file u'll lose the IMEI and your phone won't able to detect SIM cards. Tell me if you want me to help u flash ressurection remix.
Ok

notification-light and vibration

I was not able to find the information. One of the "problems" i had with my A1 was, that the notification light was not very bright and single-colored. Also the vibration was pretty low so i always had to actively look for incomming messages.
So my question: Are these issues better with the A2 or is it still same/similar hardware?

I cannot compare the A2 with A1 since I did never use the A1 but the light on A2 is monocolored (white) and I feel comfortable with the vibration intensity
The vibration is way better... actuality better than most xiaomi devices...I had mi a1 and redmi note 5 ai.

have you tried changing the colour with apps? eg., lightflow?

Xiaomi explicitly said it will only use white LEDs due to power saving reasons. Don't expect a rgb one in any of their devices
Can someone confirm that the notification light only has like three brightness levels making it look strange when blinking? At least that's what I read somewhere

Dafaq? RGB notification light draws a lot of power? Ok, I guess it may consume 3x more but cmon, its still pretty much nothing
Enjoy what you have . Nokia 7 plus doesn't even have one haha

Xiaomi mia2 battery problem

Battery consumption of the phone was very fast
The core speeds I control with the CPU are running at the highest speed
No problem left when passive fingerprint reader
I can't go on this as soon as I'm waiting for a solution Xiaomi
What is the problem? after the 2nd october update the battery consumption is really good
The frequency stay always in the maximum, with the CPU-Z or AIDA64, the visualisation is the same in both.
Anyone know what's happening? This occur even when the phone is not in use.
Apparently, devices with the Goodix fingerprint sensor, when activating the use of the same to unlock the screen, has the processor locked at high frequency.
Same A2 here, no cpu issued after October update, check your background process, if you say Truth it should be another issue not fp related as both fp/fpc reports solved the issue.

Purple screen glow when pop up camera is activated

Hi
I'm facing a problem with my mi 9T Pro.
After this update (10.3.3.0 PFKMIXM), when the pop up camera is activated, it shows a purple glowing on the display, next to it.
If i turn off the led of the pop up camera in the options the problem stop.
Is it a software issue or hardware issue ?
The same proble have already be mentioned here: https://c.mi.com/thread-2596121-1-0.html
Does anyone else have this problem?

It's software related, no need to worry.

It is basically a sort of animation they use when the camera pops up.

Are you sure?
I was really worried.
If it's really some kind of animation, it's ugly, it really looks like a flaw.

If you observe carefully, you'll see that when it pops up, the animation is different in comparison to when it goes back. So, if it was a software issue, ideally, both times the effect should have remained the same.
Also, if you feel it's damaging in the long run, you can always switch it off in settings under *Special features*.

If it was a flaw then everyone of us running 10.3.3.0 are experiencing this, also if it was a flaw disabling it wouldn't make the problem to stop occurring. Anyways, I love that animation though lol, and you don't have to worry, its a feature.
This same goes to Redmi k20 Indian Unit
I am facing the same issue. Purple colour glowing on screen making me worried.
you can turn it off, its animation effects, go to special features- front camera effect- visual animation
It's obviously an animation guys..
