Devs,
The performance of le 2 is very bad when it comes to gaming.
It is the same in every stock eui to miui and all lineage os ROMs like AICP which uses lineage is kernel.
As per my finding this is due to severe thermal throttling in eui as well as in lineage os 13 and 14.1.
Firstly the two A72 CORES don't run while any task making it like SD 650 and clock go soo down at reaching 34° to 35°c and at above temp all A72 CORES ARE DOWN in lineage is and only one works in stock eui, same goes with GPU under clocking starts at 32°c making gaming experience horrible,
Even kernel auditor don't have any control in any of the ROMs and in lineage is 14.1 27 Feb build it is told it have core control but it can make all A72 cores run couldn't control clock speeds and result is the same ,
So I request devs please make a kernel from scrap and don't take hints from eui kernel and give us good gaming experience.
Thank you
After flashing the andromod x kernel...the phone works fine and battery life is above avg but somehow antutu benchmark scores falls down from 84k to 63k on Resurrection remix 5.8.2 February build....who else is having this problem??
And does anybody have any fix???

I have also getting that, but don't go after AnTuTu scores, just check performance n battery life..

The battery life has surely increased but how am I suppose to judge the performance???
A benchmarking app is the only way to do that....and antutu is the most famous benchmarking app out there....
I heard that risabh rao used the march build of RR and got 89k,maybe this kernel will performed better with the future builds...what do u think???
I can also install andromodx on lineage 13 stable I was shocked I will get only 52k scores on antutu benchmark what I can do...

I am also waiting for his next RR build to check it. Neway I don't find performance lag in right now, antutu may show 64k but may be in next builds rishabh will fine tune the kernel with his builds..

After a lot of testing I found out that antutu on RR 5.8.2 Feb build with andromodx does not uses the full clock speed of the processor....
During the whole benchmark the clock speed is around 853mhz where as it should be 1873mhz...a huge difference..... To confirm this I measured the temperatures and found out that it only reaches 38.5 C....where as Lineage OS 14.1 march build with stock kernel has a temperature of 43 C and a score of 84K....it should be noted that even in lineage OS 14.1 march build with andromodx the temperature drops to 39 C and the score drops to 77K....

Thanks in advance....
Just want to know best rom for Pubg mobile any suggestion
Cosmic OS. Of all the ROMs I've tried, this one plays best with PUBG.
[Edit]
Use LineageOS 14.1 final build with MrMathematica's kernel. Better than any 8.1 ROM.
I Recommend you ViperOS Nougat with a Custom Kernel
I'm sticking with final build ViperOS + soda kernel b1.2.1. The game plays relatively smoothly with graphics on hdr and ultra fps. I don't know how it compares to cosmic oreo though.
i just play Mobile legends for online game
and few of offline games
but I've tried and feel satisfied with RR oreo darkness
here's the link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1et7UJfSQlIuUvkGLlCst60sLgXEEuJ16/view
unfortunately it's abandoned with no more update
look how much points it's get on AnTuTu Benchmark

Do u have frame drops on lineage? (With high graphics)
I found that it's quite important not to charge the phone at the same time and to remove the cover if you have any so that the phone can cool down better.
The latest MIUI10 based roms provide some great improvements on games performance.
Xiaomi.eu, MIUI MS and Masik U1.6 are nice light versions based on china firmware!
Im using Xiaomi mi5 for a long time. when i first downloaded PUBG mobile my expectations was high. But when i started playing the reality is worse. The game is lagging all the time in my phone. And still now i can't play a single match of PUBG mobile without lagging in my device. Though it has Snapdragon 820 chipset and 3 gb of ram but it can't handle this game. Why?? My friends are playing in there note 4x or other low end device smoothly. My rom is global stable 9.6 with latest update. And rom is totally free. But my ram performance is poor. I can use only 700-800 mb out of 3gb of ram!! The biggest question is what should i do now?? I used all the tricks and methods that are available in YouTube and Google. Should i go for Chinese rom?? Should i root my device and use custom rom?? What should i do for play PUBG mobile in my Xiaomi mi5 device without lagging and heat issues. Please suggest.... ??
Played Pubg moblie with RR oreo darkness

Getting 60fps with high setting with no lag whatsoever and ram management is also far superior for example I tried playing asphalt 9 and pubgM simultaneously and they both were in memory hope it helps you. if still don't want to flash custom ROM you can try GFX tool from play store to reduce the screen resolution and other graphics settings of the game without rooting your device.
I've been having this problem since the day PUBG released. Anyway, I've tried many ROMs and kernels with PUBG performance as the sole requirement. I've found that any custom ROM based on Oreo had serious battery drain issues. Only MIUI has acceptable battery on Oreo, but still unacceptable performance on PUBG. To overcome this issue I installed LOS 14.1 with MrMathematica's kernel. This is the only ROM and kernel combo I think is perfect for battery life, PUBG performance and overall stability. Can be used as daily driver definitely as well. This does give me better PUBG performance with less overheating than Oreo ROMs, but I wouldn't call it a major upgrade on the graphics front. I manage to get stable fps on smooth/medium settings for almost throughout the match. Overall fps stability and its duration is still much much better than MIUI Global. Hope this helps!

I also would like to point about the poor thermal management and throttling issue on Mi 5. Compared to a similar device (oneplus 3), the performance is worse on Mi5. My friend has a one plus 3 and Mi5 always feels inferior in PUBG to me.

Also, I wouldn't recommended using GFX Tool. I did see MAJOR improvement on using this, but that was short lived. Heating is the culprit here. Every time I used GFX Tool on the many different ROMs I tried, I invariably went back to using the stock game settings. Stable medium fps for longer is still better than high, fluctuating fps and overheating.

can u share me all the file needed sir? like los, kernel and anything. pm
Mi 5 not that worse
actually mi 5 not that worse like u think, that make lag every where when playing PUBG its thermal trothling from ROM its self, many rom make mi 5 temp keep cooling while playing game and that make for some game that need more performance become lag ( choppy ) . im just use MIU MS rom and do little trick with replace 2 file thermal config on system/vendor/etc with custom thermal file that someone here build on xda ( u can search on this forum about cust thermal throttle mi 5 ). u will get no lag for playing pubg with hdr and extreme mode ...but if u dont care about batterylife and want to know truely performance about mi 5 u can install cosmic os ... that rom will show u truely performance when playing hard graphic games
I found that it's quite important not to charge the phone at the same time and to remove the cover if you have any so that the phone can cool down better.
Also, The new MIUI 9.6.x.x is not very good...go back to 9.5.x.x until they come up with a good stable Oreo MIUI. The weekly Oreo seems much better at this moment.

Hello, I am from Russia and therefore I will use Google translator. I wanted to ask you about two files (config temperature) whether you can share them or throw off a link to the resource where they can be taken.
GFX tool
I am using the same device. I use PUBGFX+ tool and it runs great!!!
So I've only tried OOS, Omni and LOS 15.1
I found OOS to be the smoothest but it felt a lot like nougat despite being based on Oreo.
So I tried Omni, but I found it to be laggy and there were random frame drops.
Right now, I'm on LOS 15.1, it's good but I feel it's lacking alot of customization and it isn't as smooth as OOS.
What's a good rom with great performance and battery life? And features like Always on display and vibrate from switching the alert slider?
I'm also willing to try custom kernels.
I've tried Caesium but it caused lag and freeze up issues in Pubg
Havoc 2.0

Don't judge me but I'm still running Sultans. Battery and gaming are great. I have xposed and am using Gravity box and a few other modules for r customization. Couldn't be happier. No vibrate in the slider and always on display. But I can live with that. No lags in pubg and battery is between 4-7 hours depending on usage. I play pubg near a charger so that's a bit different but you get the idea.
Now, if you find a oreo rom that can compete, in interested! I will keep am eye out on this thread.

Flashed Franko Kernel on LOS 15.1 after posting this the other day and pubg definitely runs better now. There's still stuttering issues at times but it's better now.
As for battery I still get around 3-4 hours sot. Nothing special.
Use skydragon + mcd kernel.... No thermal throttling at all.... Can play pubg without any lag
