Hi to everyone i was searching for phone to play pubg on it and after lots of researching i found that redmi 9 is the best value for money so i recently bought redmi 9 3gb variant after setting up the device i installed pubg on first launch it played very flawless but after some time it was unplayable. When i play it hangs the phone so much that i can't even get chance to close it from recent apps and had to force shutdown the phone and reboot when i play call of duty I don't see any lag at all i don't understand I'm really disappoint i just bought this phone for pubg
in the first moments the game runs well, then it crashes and I can't move the screen, and I have to restart it forcibly
Same here, i like CoD and it hangs alot... I am just waiting for any custom rom now maybe that could resolve this issue
Same thing happenned to me as well...looks like they just DIDNT optimised the hardware to Run corectly...i Have same problem with any app running, like video chatting in any app...after some few minutes image becomes laggy ...ITS awfwul

I have my One for three weeks now and I enjoy almost everything about it. Since I don't own a nexus 7 anymore I play my games on my phone and I have installed about 65-70 games. However I really get annoyed by the fact that some games like Real Racing 3 don't run smoothly. I noticed after resetting the phone that it was very smooth, but when I restored my other apps it was the same story again. I don't think this is normal as this device has the best SoC at the moment. Do I really have to uninstall almost all of my apps to be able to enjoy graphical intense games?
I'd really like to know if there is another issue I'm not aware of or if there is a solution to this apart from having almost no apps.

For the last 6 months or so, I've experienced many lag issues with my device. At the begging, I had a CM11 ROM installed on my phone, so I decided to revert back to the V20B official european firmware because I thought those lags were related to the ROM. But nothing changed, and as of today I still have responsiveness issues.
This lag issue appears from time to time, and makes my device basically unusable. It feels like the whole CPU is hogged by an application, or like I underclocked my device to 53mhz on purpose. During these lags, trying to wake up my device will take up to 5 seconds, and navigating the main screen will be nearly impossible. Also, my phone will get very hot which would imply that my CPU is indeed used by an application. Sometime the issue will disappear by itself after a few minutes, but I usually reboot the device which temporarily fixes the problem.
I have tried to disable LG MLT, and I think it helped but the lag still occasionally occurs.
I don't really use third party applications either.
I think these lags might be related to the Google Chrome browser, but it doesn't make any sense as it is an official app.
Anyway if any of you have an idea on how to fix the issue or how to find the application/service/whatever hogging the CPU I'd be grateful

I did experience such lags in CM11 after a few days of usage.But talking about stock, these freezes sound bit weird.You might want to check your installed apps.Download watchdog lite from play store and let it watch on agressive mode.Also check if your phone is hot when these freezes occur, might be the throttling kicking in.
I also experienced this kind of lags due to bad gapps I had installed back in the day, though stock ROM comes with gapps so it's not that.

I installed Watch dog lite and I'm now waiting for an alert. I hope it will give me the name of the culprit
If you are rooted which i assume you are. You can try app from playstore called "lagfix" (fstrim)

Sometimes when i play clash of clans or dragon city or another game, maybe 3-4 times in a week screen gets freeze, then i turn off the game from multitasking and switch again, after that it works fine. I have everything stock. I saw internet that many people have same problem. Why happens such or what is the solution? Thanks. It happens only on gaming example after 1 hour if i playing. But i see it is not heating, just screen freezes and i can not do anything, only switch off and on game (restart)
Hey please any solution? I tried to clear cache of game dragon city, tried reset phone, but when i play it sometimes freezes. I uninstalled dragon city and continue look up clash of clans, if that happens again maybe it is snapdragon 821 fault. Or i read topic in internet that some type of games (example horizontal games, see attachment) what i play example these 2 games are created for tablet and not for phone. On Subway surfers there was no freeze, also no tom gold run. I do not know reason, someone say something please. It happens only when i am playing "tablet games"
Guys, any PUBG mobile players who are also experiencing a very long boot time in your RP2? Sometimes when a game has finished, the game freezes. My wife's Mate 20 doesn't have this kind of issue.
I don't play pubg but I have installed pubg to test for you and it seems fast to load etc.
Maybe factory reset your device and see if it makes a difference.

All fine here. Even using the PUBG graphics tool to make it even better . And still no loading issues. Just a burning sensation after abit lol
Strange guys but only that game I'm having some issue. Others were perfectly fine.

Actually, I experienced this exact issue (crazy long loading times & freezing) around the same time you made this post. I don't seem to have those issues now with the latest PUBG updates it seems. Sorry for the delay, but hope this helps!
App bug, sometime it freezes and have to close and restart the app.
it gets a little better since the latest update, but it still happens sometime.
love playing pubg on Razer 2, that is why I bought this phone.

Today out of nowhere I noticed my phone make pause when I tap to open game (like 2-3 seconds pause before it launches it, it wasn't happening before) and then when I try to record gameplay with game tools it freezes and after 10 seconds says 'Couldn't record video, try again' or something like that. Yesterday it was all fine.
Yes, I tried clearing cash and data and reinstalling both games and game tools and no success. Additionally, I did factory reset 5 days ago and everything worked fine until today. Also, problem isn't happening with only one game.
It's Exynos version Note 8, dual sim one, updated to Android Pie officially.
It's not rooted or modified in any way.
Both games (Marvel Contest of Champions and PUBG Mobile) are downloaded from Play store.
