Missing restored files - Sony Xperia 1 II Questions & Answers

Hi, i am new here, please bear with me if i posted in the wrong section, but i am desperate in need of help.
So i have taken some video files with my phone, around 10-12 of them, some are not nice so i deleted couple of them. Later around 7-8 hours later, i realised i have wrong deleted some others when i am viewing the rest via google photo on my phone. So i go to the bin folder and found those deleted files. I restored them all and the phone showed the word "restored". But when i go back to the camera folder, only 2 of the 8 restored files are there, the rest of missing, no longer in the bin folder and not restored either back to the camera folder.
Can anyone help me, please.

System files... Need massive HELP

So I have rooted the phone but im a bit of crap right now. I have deleted a few files in my system folder, and im now stuck. I have restored my phone to factory from the phone, but have lost a lot of sense options such as the lockscreen and the icons that get dragged into the circle and stocks to name a few. Is there any chance someone could kindly upload your system folder for me so i could copy the files back.
It would be great if you could, as even downloading an official RUU, hangs at checking header, so wont restore from that either, so not sure what to do.

[Q] ok trying to delete stock ringtones has got me stumped

Here's the deal....I went to system\media\audio\ringtones and deleted every stock ringtone....sense im running safestrap I also deleted from\preinstall.....rebooted but they are still in the ringtone list and still work....I don't understand how that's possible.... so I used mp3 download and deleted one from there to see if that would work and Bam its gone from the list.....but deleting them 1 by 1, having to scroll all the way back down to where I left off every time one is deleted would be a waste of my time not to mention drive me to possibly commit suicide.....both system\media\audio\ringtones folders are empty....Why in the hell are they still in the ringtone list and still frickin working.......
Try in the /mnt/sdcard/android/.....
That may be just notifications in that folder.. don't remember.

I had this happen to me a build or two ago, after some searching I found that I some how had a folder on sdcard with all the ringtones in it as well as them being in system media. After deleting the sdcard folder the duplicates disappeared. Hope that helps.

Sounds like this user found a solution.

[Q] Deleted root folder (/, not /sdcard)

Update 2:
So now I can see most of the files with ES, but OI file manager isn't seeing them. What the heck is going on? Ghost files?
Alright, so I'm in a bit of a pickle.
I was having problems with Rdio and wanted to wipe all traces of it from my phone to install an older version. Using ES File Explorer, I searched for all the files related to the app in "/" and once I found them, I foolishly used select all and delete. Problem is, it seems "select all" actually selected all the folders in / and not only those found using the search function.
The odd part is I can see all the folders in / when I use OI file manager (though some are empty, namely /data and /datadata), but not when I use ES.
Does anybody have an idea as to what I can do? Odd thing is the phone is working fine and not all files on it have been deleted (the files inside EFS seem to have been though, but I still have signal). I'm afraid to reboot it since I figure it might become bricked. I've got a recent Nandroid backup which wasn't deleted, so I'll be fine if I can get to recovery, but is there any chance of that not happening?
Anyways, I'm feeling really dumb and stressed out.
Thanks for looking and/or helping!
Cheers!
Update
Making a call seems to have restored the files (.bak and others) in the efs folder and some other files seem to be reappearing. Maybe if I just wait it out all the files will come back from the dead? Files that weren't showing 10 minutes ago are back and are dated earlier than today.
Again, I'm mainly looking to know if I can reboot into recovery (or normally?) without many problems.
Thanks!

TWRP and location of Backup Files

I am having trouble locating system backup files from TWRP. I know there are several backups taking up space... But I cannot seem to locate the folder that contains the backup files. Anyone with twrp experience on the htc one.. Please advise.... Thanks!
UPDATE: I tried searching for "TWRP" to locate every instance of that folder. Turns out that I had previous backups in:
/mnt/shell/emulated/TWRP/BACKUPS/
I am happy to report that I was able to delete several past and hidden backups and recovered over 9gb of space! If anyone else is having this issue, hopefully my last 2 days of searching XDA forums can help you as well.

[Q] i lost some hidden files from phone storage

ok so I have been trying and trying for days to pull up some files that i had hidden through an app that turned all my .jpegs into #jpegs on my phones internal memory but unfortunately the entire folder has been deleted and because i had hidden the files the normal programs to pull deleted files wont work my question is this. Does anyone know of a decent way to try and recover these files? no I'm not looking to get back deleted porn I'm trying to recover hidden screen shots I took.
running at&t note 3 on 4.4.2
