Thanks! I am thankful for your reply! But I can't really do it right now because i hard bricked my Redmi 9C (flashed an auto-ported twrp through flashify, now can't even charge). If I get this phone working again, I might try this.
i have TWRP 3.0 on mine 9C NFC and it works fine but i does not show zip files which im trying to fix rn.
i have xiaomi redmi 9c
no nfc Is there a twrp for my phone if not then maybe it's ok to use redmi 9c nfc's twrp
but I want to know it's one hundred percent safe
Not just doing the twrp but the nfc twrp fits my phone

Yes but where i can find this magisk patched boot.img?
You can patch that manually, using the magisk app.
Just extract the boot.img from the stock miui and then patch it using the magisk app.

I also want to root my Note 9(QJOEUXM at 12.0.10.0). But I've read contradicting information here in the forum regarding the approach. E.g. the VBMETA.IMG. Do I need the patched version or do I have to flash the originals with the command fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img?
I'm a little cautious because I already wrecked the Note 9 with the original xiaomi flash tool when trying to downgrade.
Or can I easy use the XiaoMiTool V2?

The patched vbmeta and the stock vbmeta flashed with "disable-verity and disable-verification" are exactly same.
Any patched vbmeta from any miui version will works perfectly.
OK. Here you wrote that the RECOVERY.IMG is needed. But this File is not part of the stock Fastboot Image. Do i need the recovery.img or just
fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
fastboot flash boot magisk_patched.img
and the Device has root.
As far as I understand, I still have to flash the recovery to get the TWRP recovery.

Recovery.img is not needed.
You can avoid recovery safely.
If you want to have the original recovery, just flash the stock recovery.img.
If you want to have twrp, just flash the twrp recovery.img.

Or, you can just enter in fastboot and flash the preloader of V12.0.4.0 and you will can skip bypass the EDL authentication.

If you root the device and flash it using OTA Update, probably the device will got a bootloop.
You can flash updates using fastboot safely and securely.
Just use the "flash_except_data" file.

Guys, all these manipulations are not needed with our device, it is unnecessary to flash any vbmeta, neither when installing gsi firmware, nor when installing root.
You also do not need to delete/to create logical partitions, I put several gsi firmware, everything fits perfectly.

Second step: connect your phone with a usb cable to the pc and on platform tools type "adb reboot bootloader" it will reboot your phone to fastboot
Third step: make sure the patched boot.img is on the platformtools folder and type the following commands one by one:
Code:

Loop into Poco logo
Luckily i have a brain and manage to flash stock
Is there a working and tested method to root Poco M4 Pro 5G?
Thanks
hi
"fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img" is the cause.
This causes the bootloop.
Leave vbmeta alone for this smartphone.

Hi
I run out of options and is simple as that.
Thanks a lot, it worked.
is there anyone who have successfully rooted poco m4 pro 5g ?
Experience contribution, maybe useful for someone. Redmi Note 11, install guide on PE website did not work for me: fastboot flash boot [PE recovery image] resulted in brick (no luck also using fastboot v33 instead of v28 included in Ubuntu distro) . I had to install TWRP then PE image from TWRP (TWRP gets overwritten with PE recovery then).
Also, might happen that phone app has no sound, no mic recognized, no sound in and out during calls. Just need to reflash once again the PE image, then works. Cheers.
