Im not sure my battery is good. I start work early so turned phone on around 2:20am not looked at it much until 7:30 and it had droped from 100% to 92% in my pocket. I work until 1pm ish so before then its on 4g/5g on network 3 uk.
I get home and connects to wifi.
I get around 6 hours sot.
Does the first 20-30% drain quick for everyone or just me?
I have just turned off loads of background data usage and stopped maps and chrome using location history etc. See if that helps. Ive seen that flicker between 4g and 5g could cause issues too
For me personally the first 20-30% doesn't seem any worse than any other range in the battery. I have all the radios enabled and all location services turned on. Even hammering 5G doesnt seem to hit the battery in a significant way (although i should point out there was zero 5G usage in the image). I have just under 3 hours SOT with this usage so about the same as you i'd say by the time another charge comes around. I don't use AOD and i have got digital Wellbeing disabled though, i personally cant see the point in either feature.
Yeah, an 8% drop in just 5 hours of not doing anything is pretty bad. That's like 1.6% per hour standby drain. Mine gets about 0.5% drain per hour on standby and that's actually a lot worse than my Pixel 2 XL when it was new.

I've owned the Samsung Focus S now for 12 days. I came from an android bionic. I have owned Windows Phones before, the Venue Pro and the Hd7. But this is my first Samsung.
For the first few days, the battery life was fine, a full day. But this past week I find my self hard pressed to reach a full work day. I don't play music during the day nor do I have many, if any calls. Mostly SMS and internet.
I've turned off as many background tasks as acceptable, limited the number of live tiles, set brightness to auto, and check email off of push. Yet this morning I reached 20% in about 8 hours.
In addition, I find the time to charge is extremely long. It might take 4-6 hours to fully charge from 80%.
Is this normal for a Samsung?? My other windows phones, and my bionic certainly do no present the same battery problems as this one does.
Thoughts, or is this usual?
Do you have wi-fi turned on? This is a real battery burner...
My Focus S usually goes through about a day and a half before I need to recharge. That's with a few phone calls, some messages, a bit of wi-fi browsing at night, etc. Email only gets checked every hour but it's on 3 different accounts.

while I'm home WiFi is on. Away from home its off. This is normal behavior for all my phones. All of them last at least 18-24 hrs, under the same condition.
Took it back to art. They said , lets try a different battery. I'm willing to try it for now.
I just wanted to add to this as I seem to be experiencing a similar issue.
I purchased my phone at the end of Dec, it's been great.
Now, since around a week ago I've been having issues. I used to get roughly 2 days use per charge and it used to charge quickly.
Now, the phone runs hot, the battery drains in 6 hours or less, and it takes many hours to recharge.
I turned off the one app running in the background. I turned off wi-fi. It doesn't seem to help. The battery itself doesn't seem to be too hot, but it's hard to judge.

I did a factory reset, and got a new battery. I then reinstalled less than half of my existing apps. In addition I've set my display brightness to medium.
Battery life has doubled, and the charging is much quicker.
Read an article yesterday about ads in free apps eating about 35% more battery. Who knows.
Even if they're running in the background? My Focus S takes a lot of time to charge and decharges so fast. 35% is no joke.

I'm also having some kind of battery issue, I have 2 batteries and they are both 100% charged but by the end of the day one is completely dead and the other is about 20%. I use my phone a lot for music and browsing over 4g and WiFi, but I charge by battery to 100% then go to the battery saver setting and at 100% it says time remaining about 5 hours. An when I turn on battery saver it says about 6 hours. On a full charge this seems crazy. Also with the homebrew battery monitor app. It says my phone is using over 4000mV. With screen set to low and in airplane mode. This is wierd.

4000mV? I assume you mean mA? not mV? 4000mV is only 4V which is about right, your voltage shouldn't change much, perhaps +-10% tops
if you do in fact mean Amps...
4000mA is 4A an hour, your battery would be dead in about 20 min at that rate and probably in fire as well
So, lets look at this in a different way,
2 batteries, that's about 3.3Ah max, you only had about 20% left in one which is approx 330mA so lets call it an even 3A of juice burned during your day.
An Average long day at work 12 hours
that's 250mAh current draw every single hour of that 12 hour day.
250 is quite high, but normal with the screen on and high brightness an wifi, however that isn't normal if you are normal and don't sit at your phone each hour for an hour for a whole day.
Things that can send your phone off on a amp burning spree? most common one is the backlight, set it to auto, and have a dark /black theme, AMOLED is the opposite to normal LCD screens where having a white background was best,
Next up is your signal strength, low 3G signal will eat your battery (4G is worse but thankfully we don't have that)
keep battery saving on all the time, it only kicks in when it needs to but I have seen dramatic differences having it turned off even with a full battery, im not sure what it changes when its not down to low battery but it does something.
background tasks can play a part but are minimal on WP.
I have 3 accounts on push sync, wifi and Bluetooth always on (but not always connected), I use it a lot during the day including several phone calls and web browsing, I start work at 8am, finish at 7 or 8 PM and im still sitting with 50% battery...
that works out at an average of just under 70mAh. that's about the normal level id expect, its double that if I turn battery saver off (even though it wont kick in until the last hour of the day)
oh I can make it go quicker when I show off the full capability's of our screens too
According to the Battery thread in this forum, some people experience a high overnight battery drain, and some get a low one.
I am currently a member of the high club. For battery testing, I have most things turned off, like location services and google now. Last night overnight drain (8 hours) took the battery from 76% to 58%... 18%. On my previous phone, the HTC One, the overnight drain would be around 6%.
I am curious about the people who are getting low (~5%) overnight drains. Do they all have Wifi off? What is their secret?! Do tell.

Install better battery stats to monitor what's going on. I think the one night I left it off charge over night I lost maybe 6-8% but I slept for like 10+ hours. This is with google now on, gps on, wifi on.
What i'm testing now that I think will actually improve batt life is having wifi turn off when display is off (unless plugged in). I think I noticed less idle drain at home when I did this but it was temporary. Giving it a shot over a few days now.
I leave wifi on and I get less than 5% drain. Nothing syncs when my screen is off except notification weather pro every two hours and Yahoo weather

Personally I think the X and new droids have idle drain issues. Even when better battery stats shows nearly 100% deep sleep overnight, I still lose 8-10%. In comparison, on my HTC One mini, which is setup EXACTLY the same as my X in terms of installed apps, syncing accounts, running services, etc., I lose only 2-3% overnight. The number of people complaining about the issue seems to confirm it is more widespread than on other recent phones, as do the countless screenshots showing unusually high android OS usage in battery stats.

I honestly believe it will be patched with the Camera.
I'm having the same issue. People are reporting crazy battery stats with like 20+ hours of use 2+ hours of screen on and like 20% battery left. I get MAYBE 12 hours of use and 2 hours of screen on and 20-25% left. My mediaserver is keeping the phone awake for almost an hour+ each day, and without root I can't figure out how to stop it. I always have GPS/Google Now/Bluetooth off, too.
I thought the drain was related to Wifi. But last night WiFi was turned off for the night and I still got 18% battery drain in about 8 hours.
Wifi at home and overnight. I get about 5% drain... however, the wifi at work kills my phones battery with the wlan wakelock.
Maybe there is something going on with the X and certain wifi networks?

Interesting theory but my overnight idle drain was approximately the same on both LTE and WiFi. 10-15%.

How about turning off all radios (flight mode) and observe battery drain at night. Then turning wifi while on flight mode the next night and see the battery drain and so on until you can pin point what causes the most drain.

Anyone have issues with high Cell Standby? My cell standby is at the top of my list with "time on 8h 12m" (pretty much my entire time off the charger) and Time without signal is 0% (so i haven't lost connection plus I've been on Wifi at home the entire time)
Ive also only have about 52 mins of screen on time with light use and I'm down to 79%. The drain seems very high considering how I've used the phone. I just don't understand why the standby is so high or whats causing it. Im stock rooted and have r17 Franco Kernel installed, it seemed to have started when I installed the latest r17 but I'm pretty sure it would be a coincidence since the cell standby was always kinda high on my list but not as bad as lately.

If you don't use the phone and keep it away, obviously the cell standby will come first but that much battery should not be drained. I can notice max 2-3% of battery drain from 100% over-night on stock
If you don't charge your phone up all the way to 100%, the battery stats don't reset.
Otherwise I think it's sounds reasonable.
8hr stand by, a little under 1 hr screen, wifi on the whole time.
That's about 9 hours total + wifi for 21% or 676.2 mah used. I usually run with a huge stand by time, not so much SOT. I get about 35%~ a day so I charge up every three days.
If you're on WiFi and cell standby is that high then you probably have a weak voice signal connection. What colour is it on your graph? You can also check your signal level in Settings > About Phone > Status
So I've had my phone a little over a month now and i never got amazing battery life, but compared to other phones it was solid. However, i see people with 6-7 hours of screen on time, when i struggle to squeeze 4 out of my phone. Typically i get down to about 10% with 17 hours total and 3.5 hours of screen on time. Also my phone usually turns off at 5-10% randomly, is this normal? Lastly, every so often if i let the battery run down until it turns off (8% or so) i get a screen that shows the battery sign with an exclamation mark on the inside. Is my phone defective or are peoples battery stats a matter of difference in usage.
SOT heavily depends on use and screen brightness.
I always get 6-7, auto brightness, no gaming.
Yes but I'm saying i get a max of 4 hours SOT with absolutely no gaming. All i do is text and use normal stuff like twitter and instagram.
My device at the same, up to 5 SOT
Do you think battery problems on this device?
Edit: 8-10 hours standby -> %10 battery drain...
Location - Battery saving(always)
Brightness - Auto(always)
Wifi - off(idle off- Scanning always available <-OFF)
Network - 2G(idle)
Bloatware - all disabled
Moto Apps - Only Moto Display -ON-
Facebook / Twitter - I don't use!
I typically see 1% battery drain for every hour in stand by and 10% for every hour of screen on time. After 24 hours with 2 hrs SOT, I'll be around 55%. I don't use WiFi or GPS very often.

Just wait for Lollipop update and the excessive battery drain will be gone. With KitKat I had around 10% or more battery drain overnight, but now I'm having at most 1%-2% with the same synced settings, so it was a huge improve, believe me.
Besides this, try to disable Moto Actions (except camera wrist), keep those sensors awake all the time drain a lot of battery. The exclamation sign inside the battery should be present in around 5% battery left.
Also, as far as I know, Turbo will be updated directly to 5.1, so it would be better, but hope that Verizon crap-ware doesn’t ruin the update.
I am software version shown in ss
I just bought the phone and only getting sot 30 mins for 10% of battery consumption i got like 4 and half hour of sot for 73% battery consumption i thought x2 pro have around 8 hr sot help me it's frustrating
Well that calculates to more than 6h SOT, which isn't that unrealistic if you used 4g and max screen brightness all the time, but there might be something draining the battery. Check the usage details. I see you use something connected to bluetooth so that might be causing the issue.
Bro i was using the brightness at 27% and nothing was connected to the Bluetooth
I installed betterbatterystats (bbs) xda edition and gsam battery app with adb rights. So you can see the deep sleep with bbs and the times of dot/phone time/ect and which app use how many ampere.
In this charging time I get 4,5 hours dot with 40 hours phone is on. I have now 34%.
Debloating, netguard firewall, no energy saving, always 90 hz.
Also i am having fps dropping issue during online gaming like pubgm or codm
What should i do to get normal 60 fps as this phone has 855+ so i can get 60 fps normally
I'm having even worse SOT and I have the same realme ui version.
I'm not as much hardcore user as a lot of you and looking at 4k mah battery I thought that I will be getting at least 7h SOT.
I'm not playing any games, right now most of the time phone is connected to wifi. What should I do? Debloat my phone? Is it somehow dangerous for my software? Can i ever go back to normal version?
location services destroyes battery on this device
i disable it for one day just to see the difference and it went from 4 hours SOT to 6 hours plus
always talking full brightness wifi some 4g 90hz
and from 100% to 1%
You have like almost 30 hours of standby, and if you use always on display, then that's at least 30% on that. If you consider this then it doesn't look that bad. You do the math. The other guy's stats concern me more.
You will need to make some adjustments, battery can be excellent but you have to be realistic,
Check out App quick freeze and freeze the apps you don't use.
Dark mode,
AOD off,Screen light effects off,
You just got the phone, tinker with it a while to see,
Also battery will drain a lot when your setting up the first day
