Hello! Be gentle, I'm a noob and I need some help. With any custom ROM I install my battery won't charge or discharge, it just stays on the same number. I have to boot to recovery to see the difference. I tried discharging it fully, which was surreal experience because it stayed on 1% for hours while I was playing games until I rebooted and it realized the battery was empty.
I am using TWRP, but I tried with Orange Fox too. I format before I flash each ROM. I tested with Lineage OS 16, Evolution, Havoc... Almost all the custom ROMs found here and the battery just won't work. What might I be doing wrong?

Hello all
basically i rooted my note GT N-7000, installed philZ cwm6, franco kernal r5, i also installed CM9.1.0 rom... all was fine, i installed gapps, all seemed fine, i dont have a stock 2500mah battery i got a extended 5200mah battery, it lasts all day not 7 hours with the usage i do of my android phone, my battery usually lasts with my extensive usage from est. 7:30am till 10pm with roughly 10-15% remaining but for some reason with these new mods/roms my battery was dead by 2:15pm with the littlest use ive done in a while... i think at max i used 30-45 mins of facebooking.... so i thought it was the ROM, ive downloaded Ultimate n-7000 LT4_JB_4.1.2_v6, but everytime i try to flash this rom it says (BAD) and refuses to let me, im following the same steps as i did with the CM9 i installed.... wipe data/factory reset, cache partition, dalvik, cache, system, data, preload and emmc..... but no prevail??? can somebody help me in some way with this issue please, sorry for the essay but any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thank you in advance
Try copying the .zip file of the ROM to your phone again or if you downloaded the file on the phone itself, then download the file again. The error BAD you get in the recovery is an indication that the .zip file is damaged. This should solve the problem. And yes some ROMs do give a pathetic battery life and it worsens many a time with custom kernels flashed on the ROM.
Multiple attempts of re downloading the file and still the same result (bad) even tried downloading from various different sources too its OK though in just going to have to learn to live with such a terrible battery life just glad I've got this battery that's twice the size, stock battery would last 6 hours tools this one lasts till I get home from work thankfully that way I can charge again when home

Hi Guys
Aplogies if this has been answered anywhere before.
I recently installed the latest version of HonamiX Essentials ROM which comes with the latest version of TWRP Recovery.
I've noticed that when I boot into recovery it seems to show completely different battery levels and system time.
Not a major issue I know, however upon rebooting back to the system the battery levels shown in TWRP seem to override the levels previously shown in the system.
For example I had 26% battery remaining and booted into TWRP to flash a mod. TWRP showed the battery level as 55%. Upon re-booting to the system I then supposedly had 54% battery remaining.
Obviously the latter is incorrect??
This proved true as the phone shut down an hours or so later due to the battery being too low, although it still supposedly had 16% remaining?
Hey everyone:
HTC One M7 (AT&T variant). Unlocked bootloader & s-off. TWRP 2.7.0.0. HBoot 1.44.
I had Maximus 30.00 ROM on my phone up until last night. Then I downloaded Whats app plus on a questionable site application; it looked like it was taking forever to finish; so I went ahead and restarted the phone. That was a bad mistake.
The phone started boot looping. I tried in vane to reinstall the same ROM and then whatever ROM. It turned out the /data/ partition was corrupted. So I reformatted it with mkfs4 thanks to these instructions. Then I was able to install Maximus 40.00 and got the phone unbricked (yay). But I found two problems:
1) The phone battery wouldn't charge past 77%... nor did it seem to discharge.
2) The phone battery wouldn't charge when I first turned the phone off. The amber LED light would just hold constant.
I tried running that ROM with elementx kernel with no results. So I installed the latest version of this ROM (Android Revolution 71.0) with a full wipe of everything. /data/system/cache/dalvik cache etc. Still had both problems.
Then I tried installing ElementX kernel (with the fast charging option checked) with this ROM which led to the second problem going away. However the first problem still exists. I also tried clearing battery stats with no effect. Also tried doing a fastboot erase cache with no effect.
I'm not sure if the battery is really at 77%; but I have turned off the phone and am watching it charge with the same charger I've always had that charged it to 100% before... but its been going for 15-20 minutes without going up one percentage.
Any idea how I can try to get rid of this quite annoying problem? Thanks very much in advance! I would be happy to provide any additional information you might need.
Hello guys,
I've just bought my lg g watch r and putted on charge (it was at 1%), and after 1.5 hours it was still at 1%. I've tried reset (even from recovery), but it didn't help at all. It seems like it's stuck.
After, I've decided to let it discharge and recharge from zero, now I've putted again on charge, and after 40 minutes it is at 3%, so this time it recharge, but very slowly.
Any ideas..? What can I do..? The watch seems to recharge well, it seems only a battery visualization error..
I've never ever said this about any Android device before..
..but after I flashed custom recovery and roms..
The watch got all messed up... Now it doesn't charge properly so I can't reflash a working Rom.. Tried wiping everything using TWRP twice, flashing stock recovery and factory resetting twice and then flashed stock system and boot..
But the phone fails during first boot.. Can't even get to the setup wizard..
Hate this watch.. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
Hi,
I was trying to install stryflex rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...-stryflex2013266073-lp-official-sony-t3180637) on my xperia yesterday. I already tried stryflex in November but it had some bugs so I had to move to 4.3 rom at that time. I successfully installed stryflex yesterday but touchscreen was not working even upon multiple restarts. I thought to re-flash whole thing. Don't know how but I think I accidentally flashed some other files in kernel via flashboot software and after that phone was not taking any charge. Showing red led even after charging for more than 1 hours. I checked few kernels and installed William kernel using that .elf file and flashing as 'flash kernel' option in fastboot mode.
After that, phone is starting but showing William kernel for some 15-20 minutes. I tried doomkernel and it also showed it's logo for some 20 minutes and shut down and restarts again. Phone is still not taking charge and showing red led. I think it is not taking more that 1-2% charge.
I don't know what to do. Please tell me solution in schematically way.
Also, how installing custom roms works? Which process (installing rom, twrp etc) comes first and which last.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thank You

if you can flash kernel via flashtool its great, but doomlords or William kernel looks like dont support offline charge so if you have at leats couple percent of battery try to flash some costum roms ,
i recommend this few steps:
1. flash doomlord kernel ( .elf) or lates cynogen recovery ( .img) via flashtool
2. if you flash it , try to put phone on charger if you have low battery (0-10 %) , or if you have over 10 %
ps. Lastest cm recovery should support offline charging
3 .just flash costum CM 12.1 form sd card
ps 2.( "Phone is still not taking charge and showing red led. I think it is not taking more that 1-2% charge. ")
its seams you have couple percents of battery , so installing cosutm rom should not be a problem
anyway let us know what happend
