I had just bought a Sony Xperia XZ2 from my friend. It's from AU Operator, JP. It's unlocked, I can use any SIM that I want. So I flash global ROM on it to remove all AU apps.
Someday I want to unlock BL because I wanna try another ROMs to have new experience. And as you know, I can't unlock it. I check #*#*SERVICE*#*# -> Service Info -> Configuration -> Rooting Status: Bootloader unlock allow: No, so I tried turn on OEM Unlock in developer option but it's not work.
So, what is solution? Can I unlock my XZ2's BL in some ways?
Thanks for reading, sorry for my bad English.
yes it's possible, not free though

I`m on COSMOTE too , but i`m from romania but my xperia is unbranded... if the phone is branded on cosmote i think you can not unlock the bootloader.. but that depends ..
just dial *#*#7378423#*#* go to service info then configuration and look there your bootloader unloked status is yes or no .. that`s very simple..
I have Vodafone and i live in Greece but i had no problem unlocking the bootloader because my phone is not branded.
Press the code to see if you can unlock the bootloader and then if it says yes keep the IMEI code of your device. This code is 15 digits long.
Then you go here http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/ and you type your name and your IMEI (only 14 out of 15 digits).
At last you will receive a code that you use to unlock the bootloader using flashtool.
love u man ,thanks a lot, h alliws poly

If you're talking about a "bootloader unlock allowed: no" related issue, then your only possible solution involves the test-point above the battery (as outlined in this post) and some custom software by the developers of SEtool, and I have no idea if this will actually work, but most likely nothing else ever will.
Hello all, my question is simple, i'm starting with the history of bootloader and sony brand.
And I want to know if anybody know how to hack the bootloader or other methode to bypass Bootloader allowed NO.
My Sony xperia is Sim Locked with SFR but i can unlock it, even if it changes nothing ( i think ^^).
Thank you for all.
Ps : don't be hard with me, i'm starting.

No. There's currently no way around it and probably never will be, unfortunately.

No. Sony will not change your bootloader as their customer (your operator) is the one that requested a non-unlockable bootloader for their devices. So, they will direct you to your operator and they will not have the means to unlock it for you even if they wanted to.

They are the same phone, actually
I take it there isn't a fix for this presently? with a OS downgrade or otherwise? the Z4 can go down to Android 5.0 with official firmware.
Unlocked my SOV31 (au Xperia Z4) with the qUnlockTool (s1 network unlock tool) and this changed my "bootloader unlock allowed: no" to yes. I got the software and login credentials from a UK eBay vendor. If anyone runs into this information I hope it helps, took me forever to dig through threads on XDA/Reddit/GSM-Forum.
I need answers.
Hello. Today I have installed the RU version with a blocked bootloader. I want to unlock and install the MI version and leave the bootloader blocked right away. Is it possible to make this change and have the bootloader blocked?
