The G5 is too small (for me) and I don't like/trust the.modules. They fit rather badly on the video's and photos seen so far, so how about after a year or so.
But, to each his own! I'm sure the G5 will be a great and fast device with a good camera as well! :good:

htc 10 : 12mega pixel camera, we don't know the quality....so, no.
mate 8 : kirin processor. less powerful than snapdragon 820...so, no.
g5 : good processor, at least the same in photo (maybe better), for me the best actual choice
s7 : good processor, but what the hell they did wth the camera? they are not apple ! I don't like 12 MP, I prefer 16 MP or more with good quality in low light....a good phone choice but not for me...
z6: good processor, 22.5MP imx318 camera, brand new from sony with hybrid autofocus (very quick) : wait and see !

Yup, really a good source for information and decision making. But hey, this remains an LG forum so nothing else was to be expected in the outcome anyway :good:
I just bought the G4 knowing that the G5 is coming out but the G5 is a test product for modules so as far as I can see the G6 is the one to look forward for cause that is the refinement phone for the modules

HTC 10 is .3 inches smaller than the G4, and to be honest, with it having capacitive buttons instead of onscreen, screen size will be identical, if not slightly in favor of the HTC 10.
From all the leaks and confirmed aspects, HTC 10 will be my next phone and I was adamant about not going smaller than 5.5.

Still a good choice. If AT&T had one on their Next program I'd of gotten one. Don't have the upfront money as I'm paying for my wedding this June.
I'm coming from a nexus 4, is this phone good enough for the 2016? also how good is the fingerprint scanner? i want this phone for the screen resolution and the size. can anybody tell me if this phone still hangs well in 2016. i want this phone to be my daily driver until at least 2017.

Just got mine two days ago. It works well for everything. But I don't know how it does for gaming since I don't game. Also the fingerprint scanner is the older style where you have to swipe. So if that don't bother you then you're good. This is my daily phone. Got it put a screen protector on it and a uag and I'm set

Still the best phone on the market.
I got mine last year shortly after the SGS6 series was released and after the specs of the Note 5 were announced. I'm perfectly happy with my Note 4 and will probably be using it as my daily driver for a good few years to come.

That's a hard one for me to answer. To me it looks like any other screen (because I keep the brightness down to save battery) But! when I turn the brightness up, Wait it still looks the same lol. My guess is I'm just not taking advantage of the quad HD display. An HD game may change that. Please wait while I download an HD game and test it with brightness up. Still waiting for 500mb download. We appreciate your patience, The next available representative will be with you shortly...... OK, Download and test complete. Just looks like a normal HD screen to me. The reason I decided on the note 4 over any other newer note was that the verizon version has svlte. I don't know about other carriers. The galaxy s5 also has svlte. It just means that you can make calls and use data at the same time when you're not on wifi. Am I happy with my recent purchase? Yes I am. The only things I don't like? I wish it were the size of the s5,s6,s7... I have small hands. But I just had to have the note features. Hey samsung if you're listening MAKE A NOTE THAT'S THE SAME SIZE AS THE GALAXY S SERIES. And the second thing, I came from the LG G4 to this so it had a low light camera that I really liked. The note 7 is the one you'd have to get if you want that. OK back to this now.
So lets get to the specs, How is the note 4 better than the nexus 4?
1. note 4 is bigger if that's what you like
2. has the s-pen
3. almost double resolution
4. an extra gig of ram
5.Higher pixels per inch
6. Better camera with slow motion, fast motion, Smooth motion aka 60fps which looks amazingly clear.
7. faster processor
8.faster GPU
9.more storage space
And I'm sure their is more. But with that said if you're looking for something a little more flashy, You might consider the Galaxy note edge. It's the exact same phone as the note 4. Except it has an independent display on the edge of the phone (not like the s6 and s7 edge.) BUT!!! one downfall to the phone is that it does NOT have svlte. But then again that is on the verizon version. I don't know about other carriers etc. But yeah I'm happy with my note 4 and I think you will be too as long as you have big enough hands to handle it.

Stock DPI is a problem. Its the last Samsung phone with really ****ty old school touchwiz. Its also not gonna get Nougat. If you are willing (or want) to go custom ROM its probably still one of the best phones you can get for the money.

Can I ask what is wrong with the stock DPI? Is that more of a personal preference? As far as the touchwiz I agree some things I don't like about it. But nothing that I can't and haven't already masked with a launcher. Also according to this website the note 4 will be getting nougat http://www.rootupdate.com/2016/07/Name-of-samsung-devices-upgrading-to-nougat-70.html
Aside from that I personally don't think anything in nougat has caught my interest unless it brings specific updates to the note series rather than just a different name with a couple new broad spectrum features that work for any device running it.
EDIT: after reading more on that site they mention down in the comments that note 4 will be had through cm14. So I posted a comment and am waiting for the writer of the site to respond. Like I was saying though I'm not feeling like I'm missing out on nougat since it doesn't seem like it offers much.

It's easy to change the launcher!
That being said, absolutely love my N910c.
Blazing fast with everything I do and ridiculously long battery life.
Love that it plays games as smooth as the iPhone.
Can't say that about other androids even some of the top 2016 models
So is there any other phone you guys recommend than the note 4? maybe the oneplus 2?

Performance wise, it can still compete with the newest phones on the market and no phone can match it's features. This will likely be the last samsung devise truly targeted at power-users.
Only other devices I would consider if I had to replace would be nexus 6p or pixel.

No. I would even argue that 3 isn't clearly "better." What n4 has over 3 are following:
Spen + software utility
Expandable storage
camera (maybe)
Higher resolution
Ir blaster
Removable battery
Lower price
That being said, all this is relative to your own use and expectations from a device. If some or all the things listed above are not important than the oneplus 3 (and several other phones for that matter) may be a better choice for you.
For my use there are currently no worthy compromises. Add that to the fact that performance improvements (outside benchmarking apps) are negligible.

2k screen, wireless charging, better cameras
Unfortunately it's more than hardware that determines this. Hopefully they communicate with the buyers more and update the OS quickly and frequently. If Asus is smart they'll send developer phones and work with the mod community like they're doing for the Zenfone 6. Unfortunately while there are plenty of examples of what to do to get loyal customers and brand evangelists most refuse to do the usually simple things required to achieve this.

China version 8+128GB, 500USD. Not pricey.
500USD? That’s gotta be because of the Tencent (owner of PUBG) partnership. No doubt in my mind that phone comes with some Tencent bloatware.
International version will definitely be more expensive though, especially if the bloatware’s not on it.
I heard they are also working on a stock android version reminds me of the Google Play Edition phones.

Matte finish helps combat the presence of fingerprints
better facial ID or even better fingerprint scanning technology
Always use less buggy software
The video quality isn't as good as it could be.
more durable batteries (I have the regular 6 not the pro)
These are just a handful of the things I am anticipating.

These are just a handful of the things I am anticipating.

I'm not sure if your wishes will be granted, mainly in the aesthetic side of the Pixel 7 as production should already be underway, then on the software side, maybe some improvements will come....
The matte finish helps to combat the presence of fingerprints.

I don't think this is planned for this time, maybe for the next Pixel versions

What software?
If the applications are buggy it is probably the applications themselves.
If it's the OS, I haven't experienced a bug-free OS!

It all depends on what you do with your smartphone: games, videos, big battery consumers
Better network reception and more screen brightness which I highly doubt it but we can only dream. The camera is already bad as it is. I'm not getting the P7P this year. They have a lot to improve.
Pixel 7 expectations — The displays are getting zero updates and upgrades. The smaller Pixel 7 will feature a 1080 x 2400 display
My expectations are a trade in for the 6a so I can buy a 7a. 6.1" max is about all I can handle. Don't say it ..

I'm with you on size.
However, I feel like P6a and P7 are quite similar in size from these Specs on Google.

I'm going to do a side by side at BB as soon as it's displayed. Unfortunately there is no trade in on the 6a...yet.
Saw it at BB today. It's too big for me. Noticably heavier and taller. Reminds me of the P6 not one hand friendly.. You basically can't shrink a 6.3" device no matter what the bezels are. Oh well, besides the fact there is no trade in for the 6a. 7a when… like before '23?
