No VoLTE on Xiaomi.eu and Globe Miui ROMs

Hi guys
I flashed both globe miui and Xiaomi.eu ROM on my Mi5 is using TWRP. Both were based on 7.2.9 beta build. Everything went really well with zero bloats ROM was fluid but there was no VoLTE on both ROMs i tried every possible thing I could like apn , rebooting , swapping SIM cards but nothing worked. Can anyone help me out?
On my global beta ROM, the VoLTE option only appears when I set my location to South Korea but not Taiwan, presumably because the ROM enables the option only for regions where telco's have it. Perhaps you can try changing your location to another region too.
Well , i have the VoLTE switch icon but that toggle doesn't works as there's no sign of VoLTE at all

Hi @chan200606 - your "fix" worked!
It was driving me nuts - EU ROM beta for Mi 6 was working, but the "new" official, global stable for Mi 6 was not... Switching the location to South Korea did the trick...
Since this appears to be a setting, do you have any clue where to edit it? I tried this but mine was already showing "0".
i have 7.9.14 xiaomi.eu version, it gives VoLTE on T-Mobile in Germany but it doesn´t work, as i don´t hear anything

Question about MIUI rom for Mi Mix

Hello,
currently I have MIUI9 Global Stable 9.2.1.0 (NAHMIEK) installed on my phone.
When browsing about roms for my mi mix, I found something about MIUI 9.5 on Xiaomi.eu
The ROM is called V9.5.1.0.NAHCNFA_v9-7.0.zip
I noticed it's a china rom, while mine is a global one.
Does anyone know something about this rom? Is it MIUI9 and a higher version than the one I have installed right now?
I'm wondering about this rom, because there's a list of features which are included in this ROM, which says that they have optimized some things, added stuff, fixed problems, better RAM management etc.
https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/8-3-8.43553/
What also makes me wonder is, that when I go to miui.com/download, I can choose between stable rom Global and China.
Global says V9.2.1.0.NAHMIEK (MIUI9) - so the one I'm using - and V9.5.1.0.NAHCNFA (MIUI8) which seems to be the rom I was looking for on xiaomi.eu
Could someone explain this to me?

If you are using English you can use either, not sure on the difference, you will have to use miflash if you haven't got TWRP installed. Be careful not to relock bootloader if it's unlocked. No playstore with Chinese ROM but it's easy enough to install, might be better using epic.

[MAGISK] DISABLE pull-down of quick-toggle/status bar in lock screen on locked phone.

Maybe you all fed up with Google's decision to allow pull-down of statusbar in locked phone.
As I am, even made a bug report but Xiaomi is thicc: http://en.miui.com/thread-3078766-1-1.html
Well I found a fix for this at least in Xiaomi's MIUI:
Just flash China ROM & replace this 2 folders in the /system/priv-app/
- MiuiSystemUI
- Settings
with the one from xiaomi.eu, of course this needs root & same xiaomi.eu version as your phone.
You'll got those features back in Settings like in MIUI 9. I tried it myself.
For you who use China Stable Oreo in Mi 5s Plus, you can try my Magisk mod for this.
https://github.com/Crescendo-BLYAT/securephone-xiaomi.eu
Script by: Didgeridoohan
As this will only work in specific device/MIUI version, my module only works for Natrium China ROM - MIUI 10.1.3.0 (Oreo) or Clover China ROM - MIUI 10.1.1.0 (Oreo)!!
You can use this as template and get xiaomi.eu ROM for your respective device, extract the ROM & get those 2 folders inside /system/priv-app and replace the one in my module, touch nothing and flash in your magisk and see in the Settings > Notification & status bar -> Show on secure lock screen.
Disable that if you don't want anyone to mess with your locked phone via quick-toggle.
Some way to do that on AOSP roms, like Android 10 (Q) ?
Motorola One hasn't this option...

Question What is the actual benefit of flashing EU ROM or getting global version

Sorry if this is a stupid newbie question but EU ROM and Global are not the same, right?
When you buy from Xiaomi, you either get CN ROM or Global ROM. If I am understanding this correctly, is Global ROM the version without Chinese bloatware sold outside of China and EU ROM is a custom ROM developed independently based on Global that can be flashed onto either Global or China ROM?
In other words, is Global version out of the box like the vanilla version that EU ROM builds on top of?
So for chinese region = CHINA ROM
for EU region = EEA ROM
for India = INDIA ROM
for all other regions = GLOBAL ROM
these are official releases by Xiaomi for devices for particular regions.
And then there is Xiaomi.eu rom which is a custom ROM (not by xiaomi but by a developer from community). This Xiaomi.eu rom is based on China ROM but is made available for any mi 11 ultra user irrespective of where they live.
If you have a phone which came stock with CHINESE ROM you cannot flash EEA/INDIA/GLOBAL ROM without EDL authorization (its a development access for xiaomi service centers to flash ROMS). So as a normal user you cannot YET. But you can flash xiaomi.eu rom once you unlock the bootloader.

Save about $500 if that matters to you and get the 12/512 version instead of overpaying for 12/256
Xiaomi is supposed to be cheap lol

All I know is that it worked for me, but then so many others brick their phones just flashing EU, so it's not clear what's going on.

Yes, I flashed it twice already without edl.....

maybe it's cause they flashed a custom rom.. the xiaomi.eu is not exactly an official rom.
but if you flashed the EEA or IN or GLOBAL rom, it's fine?
Can you lock back the BL after you flash EEA or GLOBAL star rom?
No idea, I just wanted to see if CA worked. It didn't.

Trying to relock would brick your device
I got the mi 11 ultra from tradingshenzen with the chinese rom , unlocked the bootloader and tried to flash the EEA Rom. The device bricked and I needed the help from an EDl guy . He flashed the global ROM on it.
Can I now flash the EEA or the xiaomi.eu rom by myself on the device ?

The EU rom is basically just a debloated , optimised Chinese ROM but it flashed easily for me

Question private DNS

Hi! I use dnsforge.de for the purpose of privacy and to remove annoying advertising .. unfortunately not a single Android 12 custom rom works for me. is it just me or do the developers know about it? I have tried arrow os, pixel experience and pixelos so far. Unfortunately it does not work.
DNS.ADGUARD.COM remove ads, this tried and worked in all a12 custom rom
ps. last crdroid have option for select some private dns preset (cluod, adguard etc) too
Thank you for your answer. Unfortunately no other DNS works for me. Since it works for you, I'm assuming it's my fault. what can i do now i just recently rooted my note 10 pro and went from miui 13 to pixel os 12. i am using orange revocery and flashed the global vendor and firmware before the rom. should I possibly flash EEA in Europe and not globally? right now i'm testing arrow os 11 and unfortunately it doesn't work either. Does anyone have an idea why this might be?
Okay I flashed EEA Vendor and Firmware. Now I can get private DNS working when I turn on and off Mobile Data. (I mean after every restart) but it should be automatic connected to the DNS or?
Is there any special reason not to use DNS66? I mean, it makes sense to be able to disable the ad blocker per app. This is what DNS66 makes possible.
If you want automatic updates for DNS66 you should install it using F-Droid.
Do not forget to set Apps/Do not circumvent any. (May be different wording, in German "Keine apps umgehen standardmäßig").
