Hello Z1 users...
I've been recently searching about this phone as I am about to buy it...
I still can't gather all the pros and cons of the phone so I can make a conclusion
whether should or should I not buy it...
I've been reading reviews but my experience says that user comments are better than reviews...
I would really love if you could type some pros and cons of this phone.

Depends on which Z1 you will have as each Xperia Z1 could have individual problems. Some people including me report about heat issues that are still not solved even after the update. Just make sure that you get a problem free unit :laugh:

As far as GSM arena is concerned the user reviews are better than the critics, personally i've found the Z1 to be a rock solid phone and a good performer, being water proof and having a beast of a camera aren't bad additions either.
Only thing i would be concerned with buying the phone now is that there are newer phones which if given the choice i would prefer to go for, the Z2 if you wanted to go with Sony, the Z3 isn't far from being released, the LG G3, HTC M8, Galaxy S5, all have superior hardware compared to the Z1, difference isn't as big as lets say coming from an Xperia T to the Z1 but it's a difference i wouldn't ignore if i was going to commit to spending a few hundred pounds on a phone.
That being said I'm sure you'll like the Z1, rooting is easy,reverting to stock is easy, the rom's are good (not as much choice as Samsung and HTC but there are some great dev's here)
If i were you I would go to a store and have a try at it, see some of the offerings in the flesh and make your mind up that way, there are also a lot of similar threads on this forum about whether or not the Z1 is a good phone too so have a search too.
I can't make sure that I will get a free-problem unit but I hope for it .
If you could address some issues of the phone and some features of it I would be glad to hear'em

I have some restrictions with buying phones and the price in my country is fairly good...
I am 90% more on the Xperia Z1 but first I want some user reviews.
I had Xperia SP and it died before some days and before I bought it I read awesome reviews
But after buying it and seeing user reviews I saw a not-that-good phone :/...

I wasn't asking for a big review...I was asking to write something like [Battery life is fairly OK, Performance is the best] or something like that...
Small comments on each part of the phone (Performance, battery, bugs etc.)...
Issues i've had are, the vibration has gone a bit rattley on my handset (disabled vibration on touch to fix) the odd random reboot, nothing to write home about, and the camera can appear a little grainy at times.
Like i said it's a great phone.

I did have a Z1 but the phone gave the now infamous touch screen issue.
Just type in Google, "Z1 touch screen issue" and read what people have experienced
Even a complete replacement of the display and touch screen didn't fix it.
The phone is great, but the screen is the most important thing on the phone and what use is it if it doesn't work like it should?
You can try and get one, but that issue is a serious one!
Get one at your own risk. I'm getting a One M8.

I saw the specific issue but it might be due to a contact with a magnet or something like that.
Also all the videos are outdated and before the kitkat update...I think SONY fixed it on 4.4 update.
The screen and the speakers are the biggest drawbacks.
Speakers are terrible and the screen washes out very badly even if you tilt it just slightly.

Actually completely forgot about the touchscreen issue, I did have that but it appears to have completely gone away now, updates seem to have helped me. I know some people weren't as lucky as me.
M8 is a good phone by the way, think a bit too much time has passed for me to be getting one though, think i might sit this contract out, something i've never done before.
The Z1 is a beautiful phone. Its large, its fast and its durable. I wouldnt trade it for any other phone including a Samsung. The only issue is that it heats up on demanding ups, but thats what you get when you enclosed a modern beast in a tight environment with no modern-day ventilation (not possible on smartphones anyway).
The differences with the Z2 are minimal, certainly not justifying the premium.
Anyway the current hardware is way ahead of the current software's recommended specifications.

It's chance m8, but then you take that chance with any phone you buy, if it's brand new, just test it in the shop and if it's present it'll show it's ugly head, problem occurs when you make a persistent connection with the screen and that connection is broke and then restarted, imagine a perfect line down the screen, you don't break contact but the line it split in parts due to this issue.
I myself have had two, the first one i killed by flashing a TA partition, literally dead phone but that didn't have the touchscreen issue, the 2nd one has had it but it went away.
All phones have their problems m8.
Even if the product you buy proves to be defective, you take it back and have it replaced. Pardon me but we all are grown ups with at least average IQ, right?
in my opinion, the z1 is a very solid phone. might be outdated with the z2 and the now rumored z3, but still a very good performer.
Battery = excellent. I love the battery on this phone. With regular usage, I get to 2. 5 days to 3.5 days with about 5 - 6 hrs screen on time. Haven't had a problem with the battery.
Processor = not the latest but still very capable of performing tasks that newer processors can.
Screen = honestly, people say its horrible, but it isn't like that. It is actually pretty good. I don't care about viewing angles. Its an advantage for me, it keeps the people with naughty eyes from seeing the things I am doing clearly
Speaker = could have been better. It is decent but can never outperform devices of its price range before.
Camera = awesome. just amazing. sometimes can give you grainy pictures indoors, but it is capable of getting some awesome pictures.
Perks = well, being water proof or water resistant is enjoyable. not a gimick for me. I use it. wash my phone weekly. lol. also the feel in hand is very satisfactory. the cold aluminum plus the weight of the device is good.
My personal feelings on the handset...
The Pros
It is a well rounded and well made handset that sits nicely in the hand
The camera is amazing if you can work out how to use it properly
Magnetic docking that actually works means you don't have to mess around with wires
Sony Support is pretty good
It is very fast (ignore the 'outdated' processor as it works fine)
Sony's little tweaks to Android on the handset mean it doesn't really need rooting at all
SD card support (something not all flagships offer)
Easy to root
Battery is pretty good if Stamina mode is on and the Snapdragon app is installed
The screen is simply stunning (never had a touchscreen issue or noticed it washout)
Charges reasonably quickly
It's resilient, I've dropped my second handset a fair few times and nothing is wrong yet (cracked screen on my first one)
The cons
The handset gets HOT...
The flaps eventually wear out and fall off
It reboots randomly, when it doesn't it tends to warrant a reboot anyway as it becomes laggy
Heavy use such as gaming absolutely rinses the battery
WiFi is sensitive, it doesn't always connect properly

I won't use it for heavy gaming and my previous phone had problems with CPU overheat so I'm OK with it ...
Random reboots can be fixed by clearing the cache I think ...

My name is Terence, and I've been dealing with Android devices and rooting for years now, so the first things I always look at when I'm searching for new devices are the Dev community, and the AOSP scene. Right the the device I have is the LG G2, and while its an amazing device, flashing ROMs (or hell, just owning the device in general) is a lot like playing Russian Roulette with the display. What I mean by that is, there is a known problem with this phone where permanent black lines would appear on the right side of the device, with no real explanation so far. At first, people thought it was because of flashing certain ROMs, or the phone overheating. Then people started vetted screen damage being just on stock. And I am one of those people with screen damage. So I started thinking, I can either get this fixed for $130, or search for a new device. I've found a good condition HTC One M7 for $150. My question(s) to you is, should I do it? Is it worth it just to buy this particular device? Are there any crazy issues such as my screen damage that pops up? I know the One isn't quite as good as the LG G2 on paper, but I'm not really a power user like that. I just love me some AOSP ROMs, and there's work being done on Lollipop, which is also a huge plus. Thanks for your time and answers!
I've never used the G2 so it's hard to compare, but I like my m7. The only crazy issue that pops up is that pictures taken in the dark can get a purple hue to them. The consensus seems to be that it's caused when the phone gets hot. Since I usually don't take pictures at night, it hasn't affected me much. As for the developer scene, we have some great developers here still. I can't think of a single ROM that was not created/ported to this phone. Also, HTC is still actively developing for it, so that's a plus.

I would go for the G2 simply due to the combination of performance, battery life, and awesome bezelness it provides.
The purple hue is actually a VERY widespread manufacturing defect. Sending the phone in for warranty repair fixes it - I have no idea how much it would cost without warranty. And really, the camera isn't all that spectacular even in good conditions. However, HTC seems to be committed to providing a great UX, with their Play Store apps, timely updates, and Dev support.
So it comes down to this: would you rather have a mediocre(honestly, that's being generous) phone with great dev options or a great phone with mediocre dev options?

I think that is a rather harsh.
Frankly if you are going for a used m7 which doesnt have a camera issue I think it is a very good choice to have because frankly this was awarded the best phone of 2013 and we will officially get the lollipop. Sense UI is one of the better additions as opposed to the rest

The thing is, the whole reason why I'm even considering doing this is because of the G2's seemingly random problem with permanent screen damage on the device, which I will upload a picture of. People have gotten their displays fixed and either had black lines again straight from boot, or had everything be okay. I simply do not want to waste my money for a fix, so it'd probably just be better to get a new device altogether.
Maybe what I'll end up doing is fix the screen sometime in the future and then end up selling one of the devices, depending on which offers me better real-life performance and has a better development scene.

I did mention that HTC has really developed quite a rep for being Dev friendly and providing a great UX and timely updates.
However, they put WAY too much effort into making this device good looking and feeling (I'll be honest, this is, to me, the single best looking and feeling device ever built. Including the M8 and every other phone I have ever seen) and not enough into making this a good performer. The camera took the worst hit of all, along with battery life.
However, the G2 seems to have its fair share of problems. It seems that the tiny bezel may be the cause of those broken LCDs. The m7, however, is a solid phone, and will physically never fail you. It was tested to be one of the most durable devices out there.

These are the two things people ding the phone for and I understand why, but for me, the battery lasts at least a day with bad reception and two days with good. I do admit though that I'm not on the phone a lot, but I can usually get 3-4 hours of screen time. As for the camera, I've taken some really good low light pictures with it (see attached for my favorites, one has my wife and mini-me in it).
I think that HTC one is meant for people who want all rounder phone. Its not the best at any aspect but is very good in most
LG is meant for people who actually do benchmark tests and compare numbers. Count the number of pixels. etc
Its focused on power users.
But Frankly i think smart phones these days are over powered anyways. I mean do you really need a octa core phone to play flappy bird?
I use HTC because its comfortable and friendly and good looking its not the most powerful one or with the most number of megapixel but it works.
Well I ended up getting it, and I'm... Well, I'm slightly disappointed. The phone is definitely smooth and fluid for being an older device, but what I did NOT know was how damn small this thing was. I really can't even type too well with this device because of the screen size. And I have he purple camera bug as well, but luckily for me, I actually don't use the camera too much, and all definitely points to heating issues, because once the phone cools down, the pictures go back to normal. Speaking of heat, this phone gets HOT. Like, hot for no damn reason. I could simply just have the screen on for two minutes and it'd already start cooking eggs. Which leads me to my next point. Battery drain. Holy Christ this thing doesn't know what it wants to do with it's battery. I could be at 15% then plug the phone in, reboot to recovery to flash a different ROM, then suddenly I'm at 52%, then I'll drop down to 36% after just setting up all of my apps.
In conclusion, I've come to terms that this device isn't just for me, and I will be selling it to fix my G2 screen.
You have a defective device lol that's sad because I honestly love my m7 and I don't feel the need to upgrade yet. My old m7 had horrid battery drain and the speakers blew put but my second one has been running smooth on stock for 6 months now (old one was 6 months but I dealt with those issues for about 2 months) . My battery life still amazes me. I love the size the form factor and the hardware keys. Honestly the only deal breaker for me is no SD card slot. I'm no where close to filling up 32 gigs but I like having the option for on the go pr0ns and what not.
Another major problem is the camera. I've come to the conclusion all m7's have the purple hue problem and its very annoying. I can't send nice pics unless I use the flash but sometimes it gets white washed its OK I deal with that fault because everything else is perfect especially the 4.7 inch 1080p. I was lookin to upgrade to the z3 compact but its only 720p

Nothing about that sounds normal. I have an M7 and I have no intention of upgrading until "the next big thing" arrives. Maybe silicon anode batteries. Or lytro cameras that can do live HDR and supersampling.
This phone is really solid, and I can't imagine anyone actually hating it. Maybe you need to calibrate the battery by running it down completely then fully charging it (without turning it back on)?
And hey, 4.7" is perfect!
I dunno, choice is yours. Fixing the G2 sounds great, whatever.

You have a defective device. I did advise you to ensure you have no issues with the used phone before getting it
That device isnt meant for anyone I guess.
If the price is too good to be true I guess it really was too good to be true unfortunately for you

I'm a fan of HTC and I only buy their devices but not some of there craps. I bought a used HTC One m7 4 months back and I love it. Its solid, slim,easy to handle and excellent quality. It has very slight pink tint issue or almost not. I haven't had problems while taking photos day/night so far. It has ST sensor. Only problem is green tint when flash is turned on but I believe its software issue and will be fixed soon. Apart none of the issues I have that you have stated. I play Traffic Racer, Turbo Racing 3D and even Real Racing 3 for hours but the device will be hardly heated, Thanks to aluminum body. It is having CM11 official Nightly and I always update it.
Battery life is at-least 1 day on heavy usage and 2 days on light usage.
LG G2 has 5.2" whereas HTC One M7 has 4.7 so a difference of half inch makes you feel HTC One M7 is small. I did not had problems with typing but I think you have bigger hands so you need more then 5" of display or a note. Still bigger mean difficult to handle daily and its the reason we call smartphones for small devices and note for bigger.
Used devices will never be 100% working conditions unless seller is trusted. Sometimes seller hide the issues and sell it to get best price, so you have to be careful.
I never really post much but I do have to agree that if you do a little work this has been my favorite phone to date. I have viper one for my Rom. Took some time learning getting customized the way I want and have kangaroo kernel for double tap to wake.
I hate the sleep button so the screen wake was my last hurtle. Battery could be better I guess. That may be a sign how much I use it though.
I tried the Moto x for a while and it's a really nice phone however with my setup I'm not looking anymore for a while. Gave the moto to the wife.

I'm on Verizon and I have an upgrade in a few weeks. I am between either the Motorola Droid Turbo or the HTC One M8. It seems like they both have their issues, making it hard for me to choose one. Here are my main concerns:
How does the phone feel while using it?
Does the ballistic nylon version have problems? I read the back of the phone can become screwed up.
Is the sound quality bad when using headphones? And are the speakers bad?
How is call quality? Does this phone have a good microphone?
How is the display? Are the colors bad?
How is the camera?
Can this phone be unlocked or rooted or is there at least a chance of it in the future?
I'd appreciate answers to these questions. Thank you.

I'm on Verizon and I have an upgrade in a few weeks. I am between either the Motorola Droid Turbo or the HTC One M8. It seems like they both have their issues, making it hard for me to choose one. Here are my main concerns:
How does the phone feel while using it?
Does the ballistic nylon version have problems? I read the back of the phone can become screwed up.
Is the sound quality bad when using headphones? And are the speakers bad?
How is call quality? Does this phone have a good microphone?
How is the display? Are the colors bad?
How is the camera?
Can this phone be unlocked or rooted or is there at least a chance of it in the future?
I'd appreciate answers to these questions. Thank you.

1. phone feels great. Solidly built, buttons are nice and responsive. I use an Otterbox Commuter case but you don't really need to
2. No idea about the nylon, people said they really like it, i just prefer the kevlar
3. Sound quality and speakers are awesome; very loud. Sound quality is more based on the equalizer and app you're using when using headphones(for example, poweramp sounds 1000x better than using any other app, but its due to the equalizers and settings they have)
4. call quality is great. Microphone works perfectly fine. I havent had any issues and my house has a ****ty signal
5. Display is awesome. Colors are bright and vibrant. this whole nits being lower thing is garbage. I cam from an s3 which has higher nits than this, and this phones blows it out of the water.
6. Camera is decent. I don't use it that often but so far the pictures I have taken come out really nice. Some people say the shutter speed is slow, but they likely have HDR set to on or auto, so of course the shutter will be slower
7. Rooted/unlocked not as of right now, but it's been out for what, 3 weeks? Give it time and it will definitely be rooted/unlocked. There's already a bounty going out. You really don't need an unlocked bootloader but root would be ideal. All verizon and moto apps can be disabled giving you a stock android experience. I want root for gravity box but despite being an avid rooter/flasher, I see no reason to flash a new ROM.
Great phone...Noway I would get HTC ..Sounds like possibility of root just got better today...

Actually, I don't think the camera is that great. Try to take a photo of a piece of paper with nothing but text on it. The text in the photo will not be straight but curves.
Of course my camera of choice is a Canon EOS 60D DSLR.
Here is an example of what I am talking about:
The first yellow line shows that line of text almost straight. I can blame that on not keeping the camera perfectly level. While the second yellow line shows that line of text to be off by quite a bit. It gets worse the more text there is in the photo.

This answer helps nobody. Are you aware that many people arrive here via a google search? I also think people are smart enough to understand that comments in a device specific forum will be somewhat biased towards that device.

Yeah, and I have read reviews, but I posted this thread here to get a bigger range of opinions rather than judging certain aspects of the phone through a few reviews. Sometimes in a review there'll be a complaint that many others have not experienced or they may have exaggerated, or user error, etc. I want to take my purchase on the safe side.
Anyways, I'm deciding on the Turbo. Thanks to all who replied; I appreciate the responses.
I love my Droid Turbo. No issues at all
I came from an S3 too. I can say there may be a few Samsung tweaks that you'll miss. Sometimes Samsung goes overboard, but they also ADD features and options that stock Android doesn't have. But other than that and one bug that's driving me crazy, this is one amazingly awesome phone. I've been eligible for an upgrade for several months and was just waiting for the right phone. My main desires were all answered in the Droid Turbo: Fast Processor, at least 3GB RAM, battery that would last all day even with heavy usage, and a screen size that was large enough but not ridiculously big.
I have not been disappointed.

I went from a Razr M to a HTC One M8, to the Droid Turbo.
The ergo of the HTC is out of this world, for a large phone, one handed use was not really an issue. The Dot View case, gimmicky but it did work and it was nice to able to do some functions with it closed.
Call quality has been fine, signal is better than the M8 was, I didn't have 4g in my hobby room with it, I do with the Turbo.
Everything else has been echoed in this post. Remember, you have 14 days to take it back and yes, you'll have to eat the 35 bucks. Take it for a spin, I think you'll be surprised in a good way !
I went from the Galaxy Nexus to the Turbo with 64 gb of storage. EVERYTHING is much better on the Turbo, except two things: Screen Mirroring is terrible on the Turbo and no WiFI Hotspot without paying Verizon for double-dipping. If these two items are VERY important to you don't buy the Turbo.
Is it true that the ballistic nylon will start to fray eventually? I'm thinking of getting the kevlar backing because of that.

Don't see why that would be the case, in my opinion the Ballistic back with the raised metallic Droid emblem without the Verizon badging is far more stylish and unique.

Yeah, I'd definitely go for it if I hadn't heard of the nylon fraying for some. Plus the extra 32gb for $50 is a good deal.
Without a case I believe it will fray for sure in time, because it doesn't slide easy, but it also might keep you from dropping it or sliding out of a pocket...with a case is a moot point. the 64 gb is COOL. I didn't buy the Samsung 5 because 16 gb is not cool.
I'll just add my experience that the ballistic nylon version was way too slippery for me. I felt like I'd drop it all the time. I exchanged it for a black kevlar version and it's quite a bit grippier. I don't use a case so that may matter less to those who do.

Screen mirroring working 100% fine here via Chromecast. And you can't complain about the WiFi hotspot feature being an issue specific to the Turbo, that affects every single phone launched to date. It is against the terms of service of your contract to use a third party workaround or a root method to enable tethering. Not saying I haven't done it, not saying you will get caught or have any trouble, just that your contract explicitly states that it isn't allowed.
All of Verizon's plans for the last year or so have allowed tethering for no additional charge, and if you are stuck on an old legacy plan then it's your own fault for refusing to migrate to something more modern.
I resolved the screen mirroring, is no longer a problem, it required using Chromecast, it worked rather badly before I installed it. In regards to Hotspot if you want to pay for it buy the Turbo, if you don't; buy a Samsung phone. Good luck with your decision.
My wife is gonna beat me down but I'm sick of this Droid turbo. I'm aware the 5 will be out within the next few months or so and will wait to get a 5t when that comes avail.
For this new phone anything I should do to prep?
How is the durability?
Picked up a default case from one plus. Should that be fine? Or should I consider an otterbox.
Looking forward to loading a rom on it.

You better buy a helmet, and strap yourself in, because this phone is gonna blow you away!
No, seriously, I wouldn't say there is anything special you need to do, to prepare. Since you stated you are going to put a custom ROM on the phone, do the usual due diligence and read the general process on unlocking the bootloader, flash TWRP, etc. (plus you probably want to read up on dm-verity and understand what it is). But most of that is not too different from modding other Android devices - and you may in fact find it's even easier with the 3T (as Oneplus seems to be very friendly to the mod community).
Know how to flash the stock update files (return to stock), etc. I always read for at least an hour or 2 when getting a new phone. To me, that is the basic required research. And heck, it's fun to read about your new toy.
Other than that, you already bought a case, and the phone usually comes with a screen protector (although reports vary on whether it comes with a plastic or tempered glass protector). But you may want to research if you want a particular screen protector.
Other than that, the phone will arrive, just throw in your SIM, and you should be good to go. Well, on that note if you are using a smaller carrier (or buying version not specific to your region, etc) read up on whether you will need to manually input the APN.
You may even be pleasantly surprised at the stock ROM. It's amazing clean, to the point that some folks are calling the phone the spiritual successor to the Nexus line (since the Pixel basically priced itself out of any such comparison).

Well, I suppose that depends on how rough you are with your phone, and what level of protection you prefer. I'm take reasonably good care of my phones. I don't baby them, but I don't abuse them either. Keep it in my pocket, with the official bamboo case, and it gives me sufficient protection. But the default cases are thin, and really more for just preventing scratches; and don't give any protection from impacts, drops, etc.. If you want impact protection, go for something else.
I can only speak to the durability after about 3 months, as that is how long I've had mine. With the official bamboo base, and the plastic screen protector it came with, the phone itself still looks virtually as good as new.

Have been reading up about it. Pretty much researched between the pixel and s8 and the oneplus. Couldn't pass up the price over the hardware. Figured I would hand it off to the wife when the 5t comes on as long as my experience is good with the 3.
I did read their was support issues with the 2 series after the 3 came out. Hopefully oneplus continues support somewhat when the 5 comes out. I do understand that they want to keep costs down and would want people to move to the newer hardware though.
I am pretty good at Maintaining phones but in the second year of owning my turbo, I literally dropped it about one and half feet and the unbreakable screen broke. ? first ever time dropping it too!
You did give me some great ideas for reading. I read up on the unbrick post and have downloaded the latest stock firm from oneplus. I've never dealt with dmverity before, so definitely checking that out. Ive noticed Magick has that option but never checked that box though.
For unlocking I would think going into bootloader (fastboot), could simply just run the unlock command right?

That is what we all hope. History hasn't been kind to Oneplus on this point. But it's practically a startup company. So who knows how this may change going forward.
Worst case, the dev community will keep this device alive for years to come, through custom ROMs. It's currently the most active device on XDA, so I feel good on this point.

That is correct. The phone will be wiped when you unlock, but that is pretty typical, so probably not news to you.
There is also a slightly annoying warning screen that will come up every time you boot the phone, saying the bootloader is unlocked. It comes up for 5 seconds, or you can press the power button to bypass it. No way to be completely rid of this warning screen, without relocking the bootloader (which you should not do with TWRP, root, etc. or you will soft brick).
Short story, the bootloader warning screen is something you live with, if you want to run with a modded phone (TWRP, root, custom ROM, etc.).
Everything on the 3T in my eyes is 10/10
OOS is my favourite Stock Os I have came across, yes pixel owners have pure stock and on the dot security updates but OOS offers the same experience with some extra customisation and flair.
Screen is great for the size, welcome to AMOLED. Yes it is a pentile display but it has no impact on daily use or image quality unless you come from a qHD. If you find the colour to punchy turn on sRGB.
Audio is pretty dam good through headphones even from the bottom speaker I was surprised that it had some depth. Pocketnow on YouTube has a great review on audio performance.
Performance well it is now the second fastest Chip but it will fly with everything but I will say try Blu-spark kernel and be blown away, 6GB of ram gives peace of mind if you have every app open and chrome tab insane that nothing with redraw upon opening.
Camera performance is where I would say it loses a point but not the actual sensor but more of the post processing as any still shot will look gorgeous, but it struggles with movement so if you like to take photos of kids or animals it will be luck of the draw. My tip is hold the shutter and take a chain of pictures with auto HDR disabled.
Charging is blazing fast I no longer charge overnight by the time I get up and ready I have plenty to go a day and more.
I was first very dubious of this phone when I ordered it as I came from Galaxy S3, Xperia Z2, Z3 and then Z3+ which destroyed my Sony loyalty. When I opened the great looking box and picked up my 3T I was like WOW and will stay with this brand till the day comes they piss me off. Some excellent craftsmanship that makes you want to keep it naked I know some OP2 owners got upset at the short support but I have always been into flashing and tweaking and they are not short of some great official ROMs. So that is my take a bit much but worth giving it a good shout and please stay away from oneplus's official forum as it is full of s***. :good:
the phone is great, well built, good battery, fantastic signal strength, I have not had any camera issues it does what I expect of it. the menu is a little different to stock so finding some settings is a learning process.
What I don't like is the alert slider with no way to turn it off or disable it also the customer support is unfortunately still terrible but community support is great.

I purchased this phone roughly 10 months ago and have never once during this time regretted my purchase. The phone is very small and comfortable to hold. I cannot compare to specific models, but as far as hardware goes, the phone is by no means outdated and has done everything I've needed it to quick and easily. Battery life has gotten me up to 2 days with light use and the waterproofing is impeccable. The only real downside I can see to this phone is its fragility and the lack of many phone cases on the market to compensate. However, I've found that Incipio made (no longer in stock, might still be able to find though) a great case and I've experienced no damage from countless drops. The phone also unfortunately does not, nor will it likely ever, support nougat.

Not sure if you have searched but you can find them on Ebay for about $160 new. Pretty great deal on the best phone I ever owned. In fact I ordered the parts to fix my screen and then will be selling my Galaxy S7. Only thing I'll miss is the camera on the S7 but the Z3 Compact took some good pictures as well imo.

I've had my Z3C for over 2 years now, and apart from a small issue I have now with third party software I've never one regretted buying this phone. Battery life is superb and I can go well over a day and still have something like 20% left and that's with WhatsApp, twitter, phone calls and emails. I have a Case Mate case on mine and its survived all manner of drops.
Have you tried the Cyberian camera app? Looks very promising, only thing I will miss on my Galaxy S7 is the camera but hoping this app gets close to the S7 camera.
