So I have a HTC Desire 510 and I had happened to unlock it, but through trial and error of rooting I relocked it. When trying to unlock it again I get stuck at the bootlader unlock scrreen as to whether or not to unlock or keep it locked. I have the message "entering recovery" at the top and disclaimer message at the bottom and that's where it stays until I choose "Too Keep it Locked". I am clueless as to what to do. Can Someone Help me?

Happened to me, i had to go out and buy another phone. Stock recovery is needed to unlock your bootloader as it is part of the process. The device needs to wipe to unlock. Your phone will still work in normal mode but fastboot is pretty much useless until you can restore. Sorry. :crying:

Is there a possible way to restore at this point? Maybe a stock rom? When I go to HBOOT Mode it shows I have no .img files. Is there a place to get them and restore back to my phone?

unfortunately if you had them you wouldn't be able to flash them to the phone because the bootloader is locked without recovery. otherwise i would've done just that.

as of right now yeah. the alternative would be waiting for HTC to release a restore software. or having someone come up with a crazy way to get around a locked bootloader.

Just fyi, this doesn't do this: Removing Security Warning On HTC Devices On HBOOT OR FASTBOOT
All this does is unlock the bootloader. You'll actually get the Unlocked or Tampered (depending on what you do) warning by doing this. To reset the flag you'll have to trigger it so that it thinks it's not been tampered with... and to remove the red text, you'll have to flash a red text removed hboot, which is available on the forums for those with S-OFF.
The reason why I put these instruction s on here for people to get their HTC device unstuck or unbrick their device people would try to lock the bootloader it would only show security warning on hboot all they have to do is follow these instructions to get their device out of hboot or security warning it happened to me I have found the solution to get out of the hboot or security warning and I have figured it to re unlock the bootloader
Sent from my HTC Desire 510 using XDA Free mobile app

please help to unlock the new bootloader. It is that I'm in the same situation.
Bootloader RELOCKED - HELP!
In bootloader i see "RELOCKED". When I flash again the bin file, it tries to reboot to recovery, but it enters in a loop (entering recovery for ea second, showing some lines and restart and so on), and the bootloader remains "RELOCKED".
PLEASE HELP!
I'm having the same problem. My boot loader says:
Code:
*** TAMPERED ***
*** RELOCKED ***
*** Security Warning ***
And when I try to unlock it by selecting yes in the bootloader unlocker menu the only thing that happens is that some text gets layered on to the menu, at the bottom the disclamer is displayed and at the top it says Entering Recovery...
But nothing ever happens after that. So the only thing i can do is select No instead.
I'd really appreciate some help cause I don't wanna have to get a new phone.

I'm noticing that most of you guy's are stuck in the bootloop after unlocking the bootloader but that's because you didn't flash a recovery now I'm also noticing and guessing that most of you guy's right here on page number 2 are not living in the USA and if that's the case then you guy's most likely have the 64 bit versions so you can never ever flash anything that's for 32 bit only now to help you with the recovery there's only one that's 64 bit for the phone you have and it's called Philz Touch Recovery so you need to search for that here in the xda forums and then after that follow instructions on how to flash recovery!!

Could you please help me with more details on this?
I need to do exactly that - remove the "TAMPERED" and "UNLOCKED" messages on top of bootloader. It is US phone
However i am NOT S-OFF. I thought to get S-OFF you need to flash a new bootloader anyway??

Hi ,
My brother bought P7-L10 from Kuwait and it worked well using SIM card from there. But when he reached India and tried Indian SIM card , it's not detecting. Tried different Service Providers SIM card, but still it's not detecting. Please let me know whether upgrading the firmware will solve the issue or not. It's having Build No: P7-L10V100R001C00B126 . Please help me to fix the problem. I've tried factory reset, but it doesn't worked.

When you power on the phone, it is shown something else than Huawei (something like vodafone or orange)?
If so, the phone is locked on the respective network, and you must unlock it, like our collegue ranaji said.
If not, it is possible to be a cust problem. That means that your phone was made for a geaographic region, and it will not work properly with other networks than the ones on the specified region. If so, you must change your cust number.
First, you must see what your cust number is. For that, search on Settings, phone properties, the last line <Cust Number< and tell us what is it. Good luck!!!
The phone is a very good phone!!!

During power on, nothing else is showing other than Huawei. Then I think, as you said, it was made for a geographic region. Custom Version: CUSTC433D619.

As i told you you have to unlock it, the problem is not in update firmware.
you have 2 choices:
1/ contact the koweitien opérator to get your unlock code
2/ go to repair office to unlock it with phone boxes (if exist)

Yes when unlocking your bootloader the device factory resets so always make a backup of your contents. Unlocked mine this morning after seeing this post and getting inpatient with the lack of the ability of not updating to the latest oreo firmwares ?

First, keep your code (on several places, even printed on the paper), it is good for relocking/unlocking (you never know, some actions may lock the Bootloader back) for the lifetime of your phone.
You don't want to go buying the same thing again
Assuming you know how to enable OEM Unlock in Developer's menu and you are a little familiar with Fastboot, it is simple to unlock the Bootloader
Code:
fastboot oem unlock <your code>
If not familiar, and if not clear as below, search on Google how to:
- enable Developer menu by clicking 7 times to the build number in Settings/About
- enable OEM unlock in Developer menu
- install "Minimal ADB and Fastboot" to Windoze (smallest, self containing package with everything for ADB and Fastboot)
- reboot to Fastboot: keep pressing Vol-, then Pow button
Unlocking Bootloader triggers hard-reset, wiping also Internal memory. Backup as much as you can - use Google account, HiSuite, WA own chat backup, copy DCIM to PC, Contacts can be exported to vcard file, etc
Rebranding to AL10c00, upgrading to b540 Oreo, applying the neccesary Network patch to make SiM card(s) working - all is in deep details explained in the OP posts:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/rebrand-update-tool-hwota7-p9-eva-t3820849
Read two times before you start, and keep the instructions opened on the PC while doing - wrong moves can cause (soft) bricks

It is safe, just some Patch02 (never found exactly what for).
If you don't mind, you can skip (you can disable OTA - see in OP)
If you go for, you must first flash back the stock Recovery, hence not having TWRP. Not sure anymore, maybe also stock Ramdisk, hence not Magisk
Patch02 will not affect Network Patch or Face Unlock (cool add-on, see OP)
If you didn't apply Network patch yet, etc - then accept Patch02 and continue with OP instructions.
If you already rooted by Magisk, then don't bother with Patch02, too much trouble preparing clean sheet for OTA and rooting again

Nope, VoLTE does not work.
Everything else, like location sharing and Ok Google are fixed with Network patch, but not VoLTE.
The guy who did the whole majestic work went tired (although he believed he was close to fix VoLTE) and gave up. Later he upgraded to newer Huawei devices with Pie, etc, and eventually moved away from XDA

It's not possible to remove the warning on booting "Your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted" (IMO, it must have been commented somewhere in the OP) - that's price for the unlocked Bootloader.
But you must not relock Bootloader - it would trigger Hard reset, removing Network patch (even worse, it could also cause soft brick if TWRP or Magisk are installed)

Check if the bootloader can be unlocked on your deviceIt is only possible to unlock the bootloader for certain releases. To check if it is possible to unlock the bootloader of your device, follow these steps:
In your device, open the dialer and enter *#*#7378423#*#* to access the service menu.
Tap Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status. If Bootloader unlock allowed says Yes, then you can continue with the next step. If it says No, or if the status is missing, your device cannot be unlocked.
I followed all steps and it returned "no".
