Thanks!

Hi
I rooted my Galaxy Tab 8.9 3G using Odin and now want to factory reset it, securely delete all data and pass it on to someone else - what is the easiest and safest way to do this?
It is a GT-P7300 running P7300XXLQ6, build number IMM76D.XXLQ6.
Thanks in advance!
Do it thru the stock recovery. You can do a factory reset there. I'd wipe/format the internal sd card. It's been awhile since I've used the stock recovery so I'm not sure if you can do it there.

It was also suggested to me that I might try: "Find and delete su and BusyBox. Do a factory reset (Settings/Privacy)."
Is that a viable shortcut to digging out a PC and hooking up Odin?
Hi friends,
I wanted to be very sure before I tried anything stupid and end up bricking my phone.. I hope you will find time to answer some of these questions..:fingers-crossed:
Is it safe to factory reset a rooted HTC One M7?
If it was safe, do I need to do anything special like factory reset it from TWRP (what?) or just hit the Back Up and Reset option in the Settings of the phone?
Will I lose my root access?
Appreciate your time! :victory:

Factory reset from backup reset will fail because you don't have stock recovery
Factory reset in TWRP deletes the /data partition
make a backup first just in case.
If you want a true wipe factory reset you need a RUU (ROM Update Utility)

Hi!
I would like to unroot my Nvidia Shield TV for performing an OTA update. SuperSU's full unroot method asks me to restore the stock boot image like seen here. Would this trigger a factory reset?
Kind regards
Kokosnuss
No, but there's always a risk of encountering issues when flashing stuff, so make sure to have a backup.
Thank you!
Unrooted successfully.
