Currently Running GrapheneOS - coral-factory-2021.01.23.03 (Not rooted)
I switched from Google Fi to Metro by T mobile as a carrier however for my phone the google fi esim refuses to remove from that status bar even after defaulting to T Mobile.
I've reseated by physical sim to prompt the carrier selection process and rebooted by phone to finish switching over to T Mobile however Google Fi network icon appears in that status bar.
There is currently no option to delete.
I am wondering what tools may be available to hid or edit system icons.
Thanks in Advance!

I am running the dual sim version XT1068, CM12.1 nightly build.
I hate those carrier names or the 'No sim, no service' thing on the lockscreen!
(On 5.0.2 : I tried the well-known method: the "Hide Carrier Label" xposed module.
It hides the carriers names after activating it (& rebooting) for once, but after the screen is turned off or phone switched off, the carrier names get back in their places.
I checked Xposed, modules, app settings, but all appeared fine to me. But it never worked again. )
On 5.1.0 :
Since Xposed is not yet supported (pre-alpha, so bugs&bugs) is there a fix for this?
Ok, I've never looked at a 1068 and don't run a CM rom, but a standard phone setting in "cellular network settings" allows you to show or not show the mobile network name. Or are you talking about more.
I just saw the lockscreen part. There are a bunch of excellent configurable lockscreen replacements on Play and several excellent ones that are completely free.

Hi guys I found this cool app on the Google play store by James Fenn it allows you to modify the status bar without root it might not work flawlessly but it does this is job this does not work in the lockscreen and live/scrolling wallpaper screenshots below
FEATURES
Center Clock option
Carrier Name
Battery Percentage display
Headphone Indicator
Minimal battery usage I tested it
Material design works in most application
Custom color adjustment for applications
Quote from James Fenn Below
"The actual status bar is only hidden under the replacement; touch gestures are not overridden, and the standard notification panel is still shown. It needs a lot of permissions in order to obtain the information needed to display in the status bar."
Permissions:
- Accessibility Service: used to attempt to get the status bar color of the current app if the 'status bar coloring' preference is enabled.
- Notification Access: used to get the icons of the current notifications.
- System Alert Window, System Overlay Window: used to draw the status bar above all other apps.
- Battery Stats: used to find if the battery is charging and what percent it is at.
- Network State, Phone State: gets the type and connection of the phone network, and if airplane mode is enabled.
- Wifi State: finds if wifi is enabled and how good the connection is.
- Bluetooth: find if bluetooth is enabled & connected or not.
- Location Services: finds if GPS is enabled.
- Alarm: find if an alarm is set.
This app is and will remain ad-free and with no "pay to unlock this feature" popups. All I ask is that you provide some feedback about what I can do to improve your experience with this app.
Current Issues
Heads-up notifications dismiss keyboard
Yep.
Resize LinearLayouts for multiple icons
Since the LinearLayouts currently only take up half of the status bar (or half the status bar minus half the width of the center layout, if there are any centered icons), it is possible for them to run out of space and get cut off on small screens. A warning for this would probably be a good idea...
Backup SharedPreferences to file
Does what it says. It would be a pretty useful option, but a bit impractical where updates are concerned.
Data and signal icons are shown incorrectly
They usually (I've had a few occurrences where they do actually work properly) refuse to disappear when airplane mode is enabled or when wifi is turned off. No clue why.
Needs support for dual sim phones
I've created an IconData class for it [here](https://github.com/TheAndroidMaster...s/status/data/icon/DualNetworkIconData.java), but it doesn't seem to be working properly.
Notifications don't dismiss properly below android 4.3
Notification listener api isn't available, listens for notifications through the AccessibilityService but cannot detect when they are dismissed - temporary solution: remove all icons when the notification panel is opened.

yep i contacted the dev about that hopefully he finds a way to implement it
Some issues I have experienced:
- the bar displays the homescreen wallpaper on some apps. On main apps like Settings, Phone, Messenger etc. the app colour displays properly but on many third party apps the background colour is messed up
- does not work on the lock screen
I have uninstalled it for now

I will make a list of problems and report it to the devs I will tell when he will patch it
the icon for priority doesnt show up. am i missing something?
I enabled VOLTE (I think) by putting a code into the dialer. Since then, next to my signal and 4G, it has "HD" on the notification bar. I have dual SIM so it shows twice (twice as unnecessary). Is there a way to hide this?
Im not rooted and never quite figured out how to use ADB etc...
I tried to include a picture, but I have not posted enough to add it.
If you can see HD in SIM, the reason is you carrier and you SIM Card have VoLTE service active, this allow make voice calls through LTE connection and is good for you.
The code for disable or enable "region check" is:
*#*#86583#*#*
Check in Settings / Network & Internet / Mobile Network / Advance
The option
Enhaced 4G LTE Mode OFF ON
Use LTE services to improve voice and
other communications (recommended)
This option ON or OFF the HD in you phone.
Use the code to activate the hide option, turn OFF and use the code again to hide the option.

Hello!
You can hide this icon via "System UI Tuner". You can access to it using Nova Launcher, you can search in Google about it.
Hi All,
Hope you are fine. I am using LOS 14.1 and realized something. I can access things on Status Bar when screen locked. I can enable WIFI (select any Access Point from list, etc.), enable Cellular Data or other things. How can i prevent this?
If my phone locked, someone shouldn't access the Status Bar things.
I couldn't see a module which has this feature.
Waiting your experiences.
Thank you.
Have a happy holiday.
Hi there. I found a solution (a friend advised).
Download GravityBox for your Android version. I am using [N].
Status Bar Tweaks->QS Management->Status Bar QS Tiles->Marked WIFI and Cellular Data and rebooted. Thay are still visible on Status Bar while screen locked but i can't access. You can only tap.

Phone: ROG 2 tencent on 16.0632.1910.64-0 build (android 9), rooted
Sometime around 14/10/20 or a few days earlier there was a strange "mini update" pushed to my phone. I do not have system updates enabled. No reboot occured.
I cannot tell if it was a virus, a hack or some broken update.
Some of these settings were easy enough to change back to what I used, but I want to know why it happened in the first place.
I have google play updates hidden from notification bar so I definitely missed some things. The only app i saw update was gboard, but it's safe to assume others did stealthly.
I will list what I know:
gboard re-enabled itself and updated itself. It was never enabled or the default keyboard.
all systemUI tuner settings reset, all flat style bar indicator settings reset
the entire UI was changed, navigation bar virtual key r now more compact (closer to each other) (this does not appear to be a setting i can change with anything i have installed?)
about half the system settings are reset to default values, the status bar now displays download speed amongst other things
the navigation bar and status bar now both have fully transparent backgrounds in most programs, i can't recall the specifics but it never was that many previously.(cannot fix)
The status bar text no longer changes color and is permanently white, if I use a white background program like most google programs, the entire status bar is now invisible. (cannot fix)
default Messages app disabled itself and reinstalled itself, resetting all settings, meanwhile ASUS data transfer became the default SMS program. Messages app also got cloned to work profile (shelter app) without user input.
Any ideas please?
I'm thinking google IME or systemtunerUI updates broke something, or a remote hack, but I don't know. Just to be safe i disabled updates on those apps. But google play is known to sometimes not respect ur per app auto-update settings.
I don't want to have to fight my phone to get it to work.
Please, i am at a loss.
