Hi, I flash lineage 17.1 in my A2 and opengapps (Stock), so all the AOSP apps should be replaced, but why I still have two PHONE apps in my phone? I even tried aroma packages, manually removed dialer then install it from google play, but still the same. Why?

I think they changed the package name so OpenGapps script can't delete it anymore. Idk if that's true or not but you can delete the app manually through twrp's root explorer. The folder must be under /system/priv-app or /system/app, when you find it just delete it and it should be good

Thanks, but the funny part is, I have deleted Dialer package during aroma installation, then when I restarted my phone, I noticed it was gone already, but before I could install it from google play, it reappeared! And that is what I cannot explain and want to figure out. any thoughts? Should I also delete Dialerframwork? (OpenGapps page says it is essential)

If you want to uninstall the LOS dialer then don't touch dialer framework, but if you want to uninstall google dialer uninistall it. I don't get why it reappears tho. Try to remove it manually please, that way you'll be sure the package was deleted

Try clearing the market cache and data. Then start the market again and it should update itself.

Then try the attached apk. But first rename the vending.apk (the market) in /system/app/ to vending.apk.bak (for example) and paste the attached file. And rename it to vending.apk.
Then restart your phone and see if it works.
Edit:
You also might clear the dalvik cache.

I finally restores my phone....
Thanx anyways.
I was having issues with my google play store so I clicked "uninstall updates" and now it is gone. I don't have a market at all so I need to know which folder the vending.apk file goes in so I can manually reinstall it.
Can anyone tell me where to place the apk file?
Thanks in advance for any help!
Hopfully this will help.

I tend to see the Market/Play Store hiding in /system/app/Vending.apk
Just download/install it from http://goo.gl/iRtA7 and make sure unknown sources is checked in settings and you should be good.
Thank you for all of the help. I finally got it installed but the weird thing is in the system/app folder the file is called phonesky.apk and is version 3.4.7 and in the data/app folder it is called com.android.vending and is version 3.5.16. I am not sure if the versions are supposed to match or not. I'm thinking maybe I should replace the older version with the newer and see what happens?

I'm not sure how your phone is set up but this is what happened to mine.
My phone is currently flashed 904 leaked update, Safestrap dualboot Eclipse 2.2 902.
Market would not work properly because of GooglePlay update. I ended up having to use Titanium Backup on my unsafe system to backup the GooglePlay app.
After the backup I went into the Market and uninstalled it on my "safe" system Eclipse 2.2. Note that phonesky.apk was no longer needed and it deleted the file.
Reinstalled GooglePlay through TB on my ROM and have not had the connection/download issues since.
Note that phonesky.apk in the /system/app folder is no longer there (confirmed in ESFileExplorer).
Also com.android.vending.apk is in the /system/app folder not in /data/app on my phone.
I would replace phonesky.apk with the com.android.vending.apk.
This basically deletes the market and loads Play Store as your app market.
Hi everybody. I've rooted my phone today and I deleted some of system app. After deleting some system apps, my phone is not running good. I backup(ed) some of apps but still my phone is not running well.
Note: Whatsapp etc.. is working fine.
There is some pic of the problem.

EDIT: I flashed my phone. Phone is working well now. Thanks
I think you deleted related to google playstore and youtube. So flash the new firmware to work with and than download any custom rom that is already debloated or search which file you can delete and which cant.It will be pain for the first to see which file is useable and which not but for the next time you already know which to delete.

Hi Everyone.
If you like I, prefer stock Rom but you hate the EUI Dialer with it tiny picture, the here there is a good solution, Install the Google Dialer.
Its a Flashable Zip and Work normaly and can be flashed any time via TWRP.
***ATENTION**
1-This is Not my Job and I dont have any credit by it. I pull it down form MTK cracker, It works for me and I just want to Share it.
2-I did this on my Leeco Pro 3 X727 with Stock Rom EUI 5.8.021S by Villarleg, but It should work on any stock Rom EUI, so try carefully and your own Risk!!!
***Please READ***
1-This going to replace your stock Dialer and cannot be Uninstalled (at least i dont know how :silly: )
2-You Still gonna be able to Record In/Out Calls but you must to active this Function before to flash this Dialer.
3-This Also replace Stock Contact app for Google Contact App
****Bug****
In app, Settings-- Calls not work. Make Hang the App. Just open again.

While this looks very interesting if you're using magisk for root there is a module that will add the Google dialer to your phone. The advantage to this is the module would be fully uninstallable.

Try "Google Dialer and Contacts for OP5/5T". The modules generally work for more than just that device even if initially started on it. I thought I also saw one named "Pixel Dialer" but not seeing it in the list right now. I might have seen it in the list of modules from the magisk xda thread. It's baked in of course on the "Pixel Experience" rom.
Hi, I have a problem when running the magisk manager application, it says setup failed after the "require additional setup" does anyone know how I can fix it? Thanks
Install
- TWRP 3.2.1.0 Treble
- Use the "magisk-unistaller-20181208"
- Install the latest version, Magisk v18.0
- Wipe dalvik and cache
My terminal is a moto z play and I am using the rom of android 9.0 xperience-13.0.0-20181126-NIGHTLY-addison.

Have you got magisk on an internal or external SD card? What worked for me was to move it to internal storage.
SOLUTION
All you need to do is uninstall Magisk Manager and install it again from the following MagiskManager-v7.1.1.apk.

Or, instead of downloading and installing a possibly dodgy apk, download straight from the source instead:

I've tried installing straight from the source github and I still get the exact same problem as OP on my Samsung S5 G900W8
In case anyone is reading this 1 month later, I had the same problem and had removed all remnants of old MM installs. The fix for me was to remove MM, then go into recovery and before running the 19.1 installer, run the official latest uninstaller first and then (without rebooting) install 19.1. After that, I could hide without the "setup failed".
Turn On Internet
Just Turn On Internet
Magisk Downloads some kind of data
So just turn on data or wifi
It will work:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
