Hey guys I saw this a while ago, http://www.apple.com/support/ipodnano_replacement/ it's a replacement program for the 1st generation iPod nano. I sent mine back even though I wasn't having problems and they replaced it with a new 6th generation iPod nano! So if anybody has an original iPod nano send it back to get a 6th generation nano for free!
I hate how barnes and noble and amazon shamelessly push their own markets with locked out devices.
Today i decided to call them the BN "crook" tablet and the Amazon "swindle" fire
my kindle fire isn't really locked out, and it's running cm7 now.. it doesn't have a locked bootloader, that's the nook only.

we've never had any sort of ereader and never even considered it, but just checking amazon for other deals right now and they have a kindle fire for $129. is that a good deal? does anyone have one of these? is it any good? dh mentioned in passing the other day he might like one.

It is a great deal. Its the newer model too, so it has more memory and is faster than the original. The Kindle Fire is a great tablet for its price.

I'm just wondering if the reasons that this section doesn't exist is because the questions for the 7" tablet will generally also apply to the 8.9"? Or is this just something that has been overlooked?
Just ordered one off Amazon for 200 dollars (offer code + $50 gift card for the credit card deal) and I'm sure to have some questions about it. Just need to know where to ask them.

Has anyone gone through a trade-in with Squaretrade to geth their 5th gen Fire 7 tablet replaced under warranty recently? I am wondering what version of the FireOS they received. I have an old one that is rootable and would like to get one in replacement. Just not sure if they will give replacements that are current.

Given the value of this device I suspect SquareTrade will simply write a check.
I had called them asking them about replacements and the representative looked in their system and said that Amazon still has stock so they would ship the same model out.

In that case you'll probably get a refurbished 5th gen with FireOS 5.3.2.1+.
Its a total crap shoot. Sometimes if they have not been connected in a while they come with a rootable version. I ask people on craigslist to look for me. Get one fro! Square trade and check Craigslist and swap it.
