Edit 3: 01/03/2021 build fixed the SafetyNet, this will no longer happen.

Great rom, fantastic work! Everything works great. Though I have one minor issue. Google Play Update says it's from 01 October 2020 and when I try to update it I get this error:
Would you be able to fix it or provide any workarounds for the time being?

The description post says that we have to flash the global firmware., and then the latest build. By 'Latest Global Firmware', does it mean the MI firmware? If yes, Whats the point of this when the ROM is built over AOSP? This is a bit confusing. Can someone please provide the accurate steps?

Also, whats the deal on these 2 processes? Did this come in the ROM itself or were these installed as a part of some third party apps?

Just wanted to say that I've found this quite a smooth ROM, specially regarding battery life and notifications speed!
It's quite an upgrade from the stable ROM I was using before (xiaomi.eu one).
The only small trouble I've found is Bluetooth connection from time to time (devices like Xiaomi Mi Band and Mi Earbuds were discovered but unable to be connected with), but I've been able to fix it with a quick restart, I don't know if this can be considered a bug or not.

I'm currently running PPUI 3.2 and this update doesn't show up in the OTA updater. There is no message about the update in the Telegram channels either. Is it safe to dirty flash the new update on top?
Edit: There is now an update in the Telegram channel but the question still stands. Is it safe to dirty flash over 3.2?

The message was pretty clear. And generally somone who post on a thread dedicated to a rom speak about the rom...

Does the GPS work? I have the 3.2 version and the GPS doesn't get a fix to any satellite. The navigation is unusable and I need it. Is it fixed with this version? Thanks in advance!

Only 32% remaining in mine with 3hs soc... Don't know why...

I dont know why but I am stuck at boot screen only. Tried mutiple times.
I am using orange fox receovery. Any specific recovery is required for this?
Edit1: It worked with Official TWRP. So please add in the Opening post that it will work with official TWRP only.

This is an old version. Current version here. You'll need to clean flash if upgrading from 3.3. Btw OrangeFox always worked fine for me with this rom even with PPUI 3.3.

Totally agree with both of you :
- clean flash necessary if coming from 3.3 and want 3.5 : i've tried dirty flash and stuck on recovery, so format data, flash the rom and enjoy
- works perfectly with OFox

PROJECT SAKURA 5.R is also very good I'm using it now
if you can live without GPAY it's very good

I dont know why but every rom i have installed causes bootloop after initial setup menu( pixelplus ui, sakura r and sakura q). Any ideas why? Used Pitch black to flash them.

Since there is no A12 miui vendor then OSS will be the only way.

If you switching from A11 to A12 you need a fresh flash.

Wipe system or not before flashing rom?

When I flash the rom, there seems to be a minor problem on the boot animation. There is white on top and bottom of the screen

Does this custom rom or any other custom rom unlock the 108mp mode on gcam builds?

Monet theme isn't working for launcher menu/app drawer.
Also, if Dark theme is off, the search bar in the launcher menu/app drawer still remains dark instead of turning white.

Does back gesture work? In all other android 12 roms for the device back gesture does not work

how to turn on backlight of buttons which is not working in my mi a1 device.

Right after installing the ROM it's asking me for a password, which I don't have. My phone isn't encrypted anymore for years, and even back when it was encrypted it had been a pattern lock (not a password). How can I fix this?
Edit: It turned out that my phone's still being encrypted after all. I'll have to fix that first.

Already install this rom and gesture nav is still not working but rom is pretty good. Hope gesture nav will be working on next update. Thanks.

I installed by following these steps. Previously, A1 custom rom was installed on my device. I completely formatted the device memory. I installed a different custom A12 rom and there are some problems.
Then I installed Elixir rom by following the installation steps you gave.
Currently if in Slot B (with any rom)
Reboot to Recovery
Wipe Data , System, Cache (all except internal)
Switch slot reboot recovery
Wipe all except internal
Install PixelPlusUI ROM zip
Change to slot
Install TWRP Installer
Reboot
I used the latest version Twrp and the latest version Magisk.
I did not load the old device settings in the setup screen. Only contacts and sms have been uploaded. And I got it to selectively install the apps that were installed on my device before.
I didn't use Titanium backup.
I did not install anything from the old rom on this device.
The problems I encountered;
The device reboots itself periodically.
Mostly when playing media contents picture video, steram video.
While viewing pictures and videos on Whatsapp, listening to audio recordings.
While browsing in Chrome.
The device restarts by itself when a call comes in or after a while after answering the call.
I have carefully reinstalled 3-4 times but the result is the same.
I have never encountered the issues I mentioned when using custom roms based on Android 11. These problems did not exist until 1 day ago. I ran into these issues when I installed custom rom based on A12.
Please can someone help me on the issue?
Am I making a mistake in the installation steps?
Since I have completely formatted the device memory, do I need to install the bootloader, modem or firmware?

I have carefully reinstalled 3-4 times but the result is the same.
I have never encountered the issues I mentioned when using custom roms based on Android 11. These problems did not exist until 1 day ago. I ran into these issues when I installed custom rom based on A12.
Please can someone help me on the issue?
Am I making a mistake in the installation steps?
Since I have completely formatted the device memory, do I need to install the bootloader, modem or firmware?

Can you try with TWRP 3.5.2

Hi folks, i'm willing to try this ROM, my Mi A1 is stock and I've never rooter or flashed this beauty, can comeone please give me some link on rooting and installing twrp for this phone?
NVM... Already rooted / flashed twrp / installed rom... it was so easy..
EDIT: first boot is taking quite long..

Probably some kind of loop (I'm watching the Project Elixir logo for like 10 min now..)

Version 1.5, gets stuck in boot animation, doesn't work dirty flashing over 1.4, can be reverted by flashing 1.4 .
