Samsung A60 hardware confusion - Off-topic

hello
i realise i am not at all knowledgeable in this area so please forgive me if my question is strange or the answer is very obvious to you
I have a samsun A60 and from what i can understand it has a 32x (86 i think qualcomm calls it ) infrastructure running on hardware that is 64x capable (qualcommSDM450 xd03) do i understand that correct?
And if i do understand it correct i would like to change that ,make it 64x. I think i need to root my phone for that? or can i do it another way?
this started because a game got updated and cant be played on the A60 anymore ,my 5year old uses that phone and plays that game,we both play it and now we cant. But at this point i need to just understand if i understand it at all, thank you so much

[Q] Roms developped for S2 on Galaxy Note ?

Hi everybody,
I'd like to know if it's possible to install a rom developped initially for Galaxy S2, on my Note ?
If yes, what would it change ?
Thanks
doubt it , you woudl more than likely end up bricking the phone due to difference in hardware plus drivers
Despite of similar hardware, it's not possible.
You won't brick your phone but it will most likely not run.
Even if you'll be able to boot it, nearly nothing will work out of the box without driver modifications.
Thank you for the answers.
I'll wait for a specific cm9...

T-Mobile HSPA+ question

Hey i just read this:
http://www.technobuffalo.com/compan...te-tweaked-to-support-t-mobiles-hspa-network/
and i was wondering if there was anything like this that could be done for our note. I do understand that we have different radios and processors, but i'm curious. If i knew how to develop and stuff i would do this, but because im an idiot i can't
Thanks for the help

Not sure you can use the same modem for your device too.I have done flashing captivate modem on my international sgs it worked fine.Dint try that in note. But I say please dont try because note is not unbrickable like sgs.Regarding the development its not that easy to do that. And even it would take few months to even few years depending on your understanding capabilities.Though I'm not a full developer I make my own roms for my sgs so I know it to some extend

I had the same curiosity as you because I really wanted the Note for T-Mobile. From my understanding, the reason phone makers that make identical phones internationally and then make the same phones in the united states but choose a different CPU is because the SOC have the frequencies that support the country. I.e. Tegra 3 vs S4 Qualcomm and Exynos vs S3 Snapdragon (the latter for the US)
I would be really interested to know if someone has successfully flashed a radio for the Samsung Galaxy Note I7000 international version for T-MOBILE.
So it would not be possible to flash the i7000 radio to our notes, correct?

Any ways to install Windows Phone on a android device

Got this idea tonight , I was thinking about this and im sure that this as been done before , is there anyways to install windows phone on an android device such as Samsung Galaxy s. Also are there some restrictions that could make this not able to do so.
If someone knows any thread or tuts this would be apreciated.
Thanks guys
windows

The only think I miss from Windows mobile devices is.... Age of Empires!

Because windows isn't open source, like android, I think that it impossible to port it to other devices.

Not impossible, it's been ported to HD2. And other phones I believe but i know for sure Windows 7 was not meant to be on HD2
I hate windows phone os
I don't think he was asking or opinions of the OS. I think he was inquiring to see if it was possible. I to would like to try this to see or myself and not take others word for it. I will search for a solution and update this thread with what I find.
Edit: It seems that it is not possible currently. However, there are developers that are working on a solution to that problem The main problem is the hardware that was not intended for Windows that is equipped to run Android OS. Hopefully there is spark at some point. There is a lot of talk though that Microsoft is trying to bully their way into having smartphone manufacturers load thee OS and allowing the consumer to be ale to dual boot. That article can be see over at many tech blogs including Znet.
Till now, there is not any known method to do this. Android OS is the best OS in the world. Almost every application is available for android. Also it is most customisable. I would recommend you to stay with Android and install WP launchers to get windows phone like stuff/looks
It is interesting which ideas we`ve got :good:
In my opinion:
Microsoft is something for my PC @home, and Android have to run on my device ...
One of my friends have one nokia with WP7 ,looks nice and works good ,he says - but for me nothing gets about Android , but it is only my opinion
To ask the thread:
I have never heard of any way to flash WP 7/8 on Android devices ...
Only device that got WP7 and did not run it natively were the Toshiba TG01 and the legendary HD2
So sorry, not happening as it's closed source
if its possible on hd2 its possible on devices using same hardware as of windows phone trying to develop a boot loader which helps wp7 bot on our android , any who one can help us with it ???

´cause lagdroid is only for geeks who got a lot of free time
it is always nice to running multiple OS on one phone,i think we need new bootloader same exactly like cotulla has done for HD2,this sounds good to start request to cotulla,i heard he was working for MAGLDR bootloader in HTC M7,let us see
I just write all my own apps for my WP... Android OS is a little clumsy and I think it's ugly... let me know if anyone finds out how to do this... I'd buy a galaxy in a minute if it weren't for the crappy OS.

[Q] Glance for ATIV S?

Has anyone attempted to port glance to the Samsung ATIV S?
I was wondering this myself although I would imagine there are firmware issues that would make the whole thing a bit of an ordeal.
The problem is that for now there isn't a deep knowledge of windows phone 8..somethig is slowly moving now, but it's a recent thing, and we have lack of developers (where is the Dark Forces Team?). The few ones who are working on WP8 are really really good, they are doing their best and some results are coming out. But till now I think there isn't enough knowledge to answer your question. If it's something specificly hardware-related probably no..
This should be possible when real custom roms are available.
As the bootloader of the Ativ S isn´t hacked so far there isn´t any chance to do that...

[Q] flash windows phone onto android hardware

I know there have been some questions regarding this in the past, I am using an lg g3 and nokia 930 and I like the g3 hardware but would rather have windows phone on it than android, I've customized android to look and run like a windows phone with launcher 8 pro and im still not satisified.
is this possible now at this point to flash wp on android hardware?
if you want android buy android

not possible to change and flash other systems

What about devices that are sold with WP8 OR Android Kitkat BUT have the same identical hardware?
I am referring to Tablets with Intel like these two:
WP8 version - http://smartpad.mediacomeurope.it/Prodotti/Scheda.aspx?XRC=M-IPROW810
Android KitKat version: http://smartpad.mediacomeurope.it/Prodotti/Scheda.aspx?XRC=M-IPRO810B
Same hardware, different OS. Would it be possible?
no... not possible...

May I know why? Since it is not an hardware issue, which is the reason behind this "NO"?
I think an explanation would be very useful for everyone, since until know the most common reason was "HW is different".
Thanks! :good:
because not possible... maybe phone have identical hardware but hardware not 100% same...
also did you know difference between Windows Phone 8.x, Windows 8.x RT and Windows 8.x? because your question, you dont...

So still an HW problem.
Quite a shame, from a customer point of view, since lots of users seems to like WP8 experience but are not willing to abandon their Android device / exti their Android confort zone.
[Flame] Have you ever heard of "Netiquette"? -> being polite to other people might result in other people being polite to you when in need.
By the way, yes I know the difference. I purpotedly wrote WP8 and not W8RT or W8.
I know they are not identical, which by the way means " Exactly equal and alike", 100% the same
[/Flame]
first problem (in every device if you want boot other OS or dualboot) is bootloader... manufacturer by default not make possible to load other OS... and here all stops... without bootloader hardware and others not important in that story....
if hackers (developers) make alternative bootloader for device to load other OS now come problems with hardware, drivers and other software problems... and there no custom ROM's for WP8 devices...
this is in short described way you cant load other OS... about this can write few pages but in basics this is all what you need to know... if manufacturer not want you to choose different OS you cant do anything about this...
