Hello I am wondering if the newest Magisk version is safe to use with android 7.0/oos 4.0, has anyone tried it and got successful results?
Yes. Literally just need to flash the latest magisk as it has phh superuser included.
Install the magisk manager and the phh superuser both available from the playstore.

Does anyone have success installing magisk in our device ? I tried and the flashing is success but magisk manager app says not installed always. It never detects the magisk even thought it is installed by patching kernel and uninstaller script detecting when I try to un-install it.
Have no ideas how to fix this ? Already tried 13.3, 14.5 (boot loops), 14.0, 14.2 (boots, but app says not installed).
Any help would be appreciated.

I tried Magisk yesterday, I also faced the same issue, then tried rooting with SuperSU through TWRP, then Magisk shows detected, but app hiding is not working, then switched back to stock.
so i installed magisk rooted fine then i tried updating it and i think magisk by its self updated to 15.2 but i cant install the manager or something now.. i think its the actual magisk trying to install from the manager app.. but after i reboot when prompted it doesnt get installed. how to fix?

How did you pass safetyNet test? which rom did you use? please let me know
I am using Asus Zenfone Max Z010D (ZC550KL).
I have TWRP-3.2.0-Z010D-20171205 on my phone, currently using stock rom Version WW 8916-13.8.26.92.
When flashing Magisk 14 thru twrp and reboot, Magisk is detected in the system and is installed correctly.
But Collective Dolby (https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/soundmod-axon-7-dolby-atmos-t3412342)
and Viper (https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/module-viper4android-fx-2-5-0-5-t3577058) is not working and not installing thru TWRP with error saying that Magisk v15+ is needed.
When flashing magisk 15.2, it is done successfully but upon reboot and checking in magisk manager it is stated that Magisk is not installed.
So I want to be able to use magisk 15 and up so i can use dolby and viper by sir ahrion.
I hope you can help me guys.

Same here when installing magisk 15.2 but magisk manager for me is stuck at the splash screen, only magisk 14.x works.
