[ROM][4.3] Nexus S AOSP JLS36G / 24.09.2013 v0.7

Completely built from AOSP source without any modifications and this ROM will be kept that way (except for bug fixes and performance improvements)
This is my first built ROM so be warned!
Only for Nexus S! (It will NOT work on Nexus S 4G)

Both of those issues are fixed in win7fun build.
What about location services? Is it working?
Glad to see someone is stepping up! Will test tonight

I got a Warning: No file_contexts while flashing the zip via CWM, but it installed fine and is working just fine! :fingers-crossed:
That cropped clock actually looks kinda stylish! :laugh:

Not 100% sure what's happening here, but I believe you are going to need to build your own kernel even if that's not the root cause of the problem. The following two commits are kind of important for fully working BT: https://github.com/CyanogenMod/andr...mmit/19a208a64958ff0cefb43c7b1623307ca090edd2 (allows phone to sleep after initializing BT hardware), https://github.com/CyanogenMod/andr...mmit/15ced1fb4a207c2e99ea007ce447d9b5cd676435 (allows use of Bluetooth keyboards and mice).

That's the bug fixed by this patch against frameworks/base.
As for network location, have a look at the overlays in device/sample/products. You can either copy over the relevant changes directly, or (better yet) just include those overlays in your build -- look at soju.mk in my tree for an example. (If you want to start from that product instead of full_crespo, use "lunch soju-userdebug" instead of "lunch full_crespo-userdebug" when building.)

Camera works just fine. Location.. I enabled everything and tried using Maps, but it hasn't got a lock on just yet....

In v0.2 location services should be now working just fine

Thanks for the hints! Hoped to get away without compilling kernel but oh well.. Will try to look at compilling and testing marmite/cm kernels to try to fix bluetooth but that's for tomorow... it's too late already for me tonight

Does work for me. Did you wipe dalvik/cache? Can anyone else confirm location working/not working?

Just did a quick check with this ROM.
- Network Location is working for me.
- Bluetooth not working because of missing libbt-vendor.so in /system/vendor/lib. Extracted from win7fun's build an attached to this post. Rename to 'libbt-vendor.so' (Only remove '.zip' extension. It is not zipped !) Push to /system/vendor/lib and to be clean, chmod to 644. And NO, i won't make a flashable zip of it. If anyone wants to do, feel free.
- However, there seems to be a bug with the Data signal indicator. It doesn't switch fron 3G to H and doesn't show the little traffic up/down arrows.
Beside that, very good work !

Thanks. Found where Google has moved libbt repo so libbt-vender.so is now built from source and included in ROM. Have no devices at hand now to check if it's really working but bluetooth can be enabled now and at least it scans for devices. Fixed in v0.3

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

First of all, THANK YOU for beying so quick and for keeping working for Nexus 4. Big up for you!
I've just installed the ROM and it's working fine by now (we already know the video recording issue) , except that i've installed Google Now Launcher but i can't make it work. It just doesn't show in the setting (only Trebuchet). Any one with the same issue?

This is not ROM issue. I've seen this on many mm ROMs too.
Do you have Google app installed?
To solve this, uninstall Google app (if you have it) and now launcher. Then install both of them from play store. That'll solve it.
You'll find many posts like this on internet.

Thanks m8, i will try that!
I have another issue with Gmail app, it always asks me to introduce an email address, despite already have 2 configured. If i press "take te me gmail" it says i have to "add at least one email address", if i add en email address it configures it in accounts but keeps asking in gamil app. I've read on internet about that issue but the possible solution (unsync, re-sync, remove account, put again, clear data+cache) doesn't work for me. If someone knows something else, please let me know

After the installastion (CM+opengapps nano):
Settings->buttons->buttons and layout crashes "Cyanogenmod Settings" app
Settings->status bar options battery status style/battery percentage don't make effect (the battery icon remains default). btw, Clock Style works.

So first impressions: installation on helium (after installer and kernel config was modified)
- installer went without problems
- initial setup wizard went well, asked for both sim cards and configured them, wifi 5ghz ac connected without problem, google happily restored all 175 apps from backup, fingerprint was created and works correctly with pin
- room looks like typical LAOS with blue on white settings
- settings informs that it has march 2017 security fixes
- SELinux is enforcing
- dark settings theme is available in display menu
- there is, in settings menu, a "Configuration" huge menu with different settings to change
- a bug with camera, in 4k recording starts, but there is no counter and stopping recording immediately exits camera app (I did not make any changes to build.prop, only patched core control)
in 1080p counter shows for a second, disappears and nothing else happens, same happens in 720p, other camera apps don't work either (google camera, cinema fv-5, lgcamera, open camera)
- even with "persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1" in build.prop, recording is still broken
- gps works correctly, as do flashlight
- LTE data works on both sims (can't test VOLTE, my network does not allow it)
- Substratum works, very nice effects with semi-transparent theme
- battery life is good (at least the deep sleep and idle parts), idle power use seems to be about 13mA
I will be updating with further progress and tests
- while Substratum works, main settings page can't be modified with semi transparent background
- benchmark scores are like other LAOS roms (at least with my governor/core control modifications)
- Vulkan support is present

Thanks now everything is working.Using harfix kernel battery life is awesome but anyway can we enable core control here?BTW had to disable some system app like supersu, adaway cos i don't use them and gallery is buggy so I disable it.Overall a good rom.Thanks op.

i got no problem after flashing same thing as you but i am on hydrogen

Camera issue on Helium is fully fixed on default and Harfix kernel by flashing ajsmsg78's fix https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=457095661767140419
It replaces kernel so to use it with Harfix, it must be flashed over after installing the fix.
This also fixes 30s bug.

GPS is not okay, it doesn't work, what you are referring to is location tracking via Mobile Data and Wi-Fi. Look out for next build which should have gps fix.

Flashed it in the morning its been almost 14 hours working super fine few bugs that I am reporting
Sudden reboots
After uninstalling app it reboots
And I am not sure GPS works or not ..

So when I need GPS I should wait? I don't want to bother you with the question of an exact ETA, but will it be a matter of a few days or will it be weeks?

titanium backup and supersu problem

Thanks for this awesome ROM, but i have a problem with titanium backup, i can't freeze apps and when it ask to me root permission, i can't tap on yes.

@ luke, good job. Fast, no reboots even with magisk, all seems to work great. One bug compared to Ivan's build, bt call does not work, only bt media.

Swipe the trust notification to left (or right), tap the gear icon & uncheck to not show the notification again.

Great stuff. Updated from Superman Rom 2.9 [N 7.0] been running it just over 24 hours so far. Battery life is good, very light and responsive. Both magisk and xposed run without issues. So far, so good. Haven't come across any bugs as of yet. Finally able to use Substratum in all its glory with this OMS rom. Thanks

Introduction
First public Android 9.0 builds for Kagura! It`s pure AOSP from Google with few modifications by me and general configs/tweaks from Sony Open Devices Project. Let`s make our XZ great again!
How To Install​
Download all needed files of latest version: ROM, TWRP, OEM, Magisk, GApps (arm64, Android 9.0, nano)
Flash latest TWRP using:

[COLOR="Red"]fastboot flash recovery [your twrp image name].img[/COLOR]
Flash latest OEM using:
Code:
[COLOR="Red"]fastboot flash oem [your oem image name].img[/COLOR]
Reboot your phone to recovery by pressing Vol- and Power Button together - Sony logo must appear, then TWRP will boot in ~15sec. PHONE MUST BE TURNED OFF!!!
When rebooted to recovery, format /data, then do wipe /data /cache /dalvik, put ROM, Magisk and OpenGapps zips to internal storage
FOLLOW NEXT STEPS AS THEY ARE DESCRIBED HERE, IT`S VERY IMPORTANT!!!
Flash ROM (universal for both F8331 and F8332) and DualSim patch if you`re using F8332 (head to F8332 folder)
Flash Magisk
Flash Gapps
When finished, reboot to system as TWRP suggests you. Phone will reboot twice, it`s OK, after second reboot it will start to boot to system
Bugs:​
[*]Notification light
Night light (can`t be fixed)
Official TWRP can`t mount /data (TWRP`s issue, wait for update, or use AdrianDC`s one)

Folder`s are grouped in dd/mm order, so for now 10/09 is the most recent one. Today 11/09 will come, wait for updates.

Yes, but latest folder name is "underbug" therefore.

I have to say its blazing fast, its way snapier than stable oreo, keep up the good work, by the way camera works with open camera app from google store.

OEM got updated, so links for download are updated too. Also new build is ready - 11/09, download it. In pair with new oem it`s incredibly fast

Perfect candidate as daily driver, except cera works only in third party apps, and not all of them. Wait for fixes, no ETA for now.

USB PC file trasnfer is not working including twrp after boot, twrp asks password to dcrypt. any tips?

fingerprint registration cause of force shut down

Amazing fast rom. Bug i noticed so far: camera Not working, adaptive brightness Not working, Fingerprint Set Up causes Phone shut down, nightlight Not working. I will use it more and will Report Back
Edit: also high battery drain when Screen on & Off
Edit2: Notificiation LED is Always activated with Red Color when Screen is on or off
