Question Verizon/Samsung Gift Card Promotion Tips - Expiration - Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra

Hey Folks:
Quick tips: ACT SOON
If you purchased your S21 series phone on the Verizon website during the pre-order period of 1/14-1/28, you are eligible for a gift card and smart tag promo on the Samsung website. The value depends on the model
If you call Verizon about it - YOU WILL WASTE YOUR TIME BECAUSE THEY DON'T KNOW THE DETAILS.
Call the Samsung Promotions number: 1-800-726-7864. Having a Samsung account is necessary too
You will need your receipt or the ability to take a picture of it. you will also need to reference your IMEI Number
I had a woman walk me thru it using the Shop Samsung ans Smart Tutor apps by Samsung.
This promotion expires on 2/28/21 So you'd better act soon
Good luck!

Did your phone register successfully for the pre-order offer? Mine won't register for the offer in the Samsung Shop app. Anything special you did?

I copied and pasted the IMEI from the "About Phone" section... PER the instructions she was giving me.... she was actually logged into my phone, perhaps to assist. Maybe check there is any stray space?

I even did the barcode scan but no luck. And when I call that number the help is useless . Was it the first level rep that helped you or did you get to someone more technical

It was the 1st person I called at the number above.... she was a little ingratiating but extremely helpful and competent.... maybe do the process on their website and have a chat window/convo open?

Even if I type it in , it fails. Something with the app or my activation but no one on that line can help. I can try the chat tomorrow.

Thanks for the heads up. I needed to register two devices, and the app acts like it will allow this but it doesn't work. Called the 800# and they had me uninstall then reinstall the app to perform the 2nd registration.

T-Mobile "My Account" application

There is an app called "My Account" in the market by T-Mobile that allows you to view account data such as minutes used/available, billing balance etc.
The app is free and to me its helpful. Just thought I'd share...
yea
i LOVED it when i put it on my phone. No matter what company you go through, the webpage, billing, minutes of use, txt usage, is horrible. This app made it VERY easy to read, use, and even pay a bill (IT EVEN TELLS YOU THE BATTERY LIFE, CONDITION etc, also has payment history that isnt tied to that programs usage to pay bills, all your payments are shown)

I had to re-read what he wrote as well, but he meant that every other tools a company used to provide account information had been horrible, and this app is the exception.
I absolutely love it.
That's amazing! I'm hoping it's from Tmobile so personal info isn't stolen, but considering it finds the info without me logging in, it MUST have access to tmobile's servers.

Yeah, it's official from T-Mobile. They announced it first in their official forums, so no worries!
They seem like they took all precautions by not allowing wifi enable checking.

Thanks, this is great! Beats using the browser to get to my acocunt info
Good o'l Tmobile. Finally an application I can recommend to customers. It also has some really neat steps for Trouble Shooting that may answer some questions without having to call in if you're having problems. So check it.

Can't find this on the UK market, can somebody upload the apk for me?
Please
Does any one have the 1.0 version of this app. I downloaded the 1.1 update and now i can not use this app because it only requires 3g and edge. I only have wifi but they took that off for secority reasons. if you have 1.0 please back it up and upload. thanks
My Account 1.0.0
Can Someone upload the newest version ?
I just tested this with my G1 on Tmo in the UK and it doesn't work properly. It shows someone's account details, but they are not mine. I'm not greatly surprised it didn't work or I would have expected to see it on the Market in the UK. I am surprised that it shows someone's details though rather than an error!
Aleks
lolz i have the same, it's not my account info what the application shows.

Make sure to provide a decent reason - I kinda lied about not using my new phone, but reality is i'd really sell it if I could not unlock it and get rid of ads.
I guess, simply saying you want adaway installed and that needs root shall be enough. Last part skips voids-warranty-are-you-sure? exchange.
A friend of mine called UK support on viber on may 10th, but ended up with same uk support mail exchage asking him for details, warning about risks and got his code a day later than me I believe.
He told them he wanted to flash clean firmware or something like that... be creative.

Content:I bought P20 pro few weeks ago and I desperately want to unlock my bootloader, but unlock link is 404/dead for ages now.One of the reasons for actually buying Huawei phone was the information that bootloader unlock is actually easy - I'm sick and tired of ads and I want root/adaway installed asap + I want google dialer.... It sucks to be walking around with my old Xiaomi mi6 and not a new shiny Huawei. Please let me know, how can I get an unlock code in any other way. Serial xxxxxxxxxx, product ID xxxxxx, IMEI xxxx/xxx. I know the risks etc and I'm sure I want to unlock my bootloader.

Which Note 9 do i have?

I picked up my Note 9 from Rent A Center, it said "duos" on the box. It says sm-n9600, build number ends in hu1arg6. I'm asking because the way rent a center has their phones configured, set up is kinda weird and I may want to root, etc. So I want to make sure I don't have compatibility issues. One thing I did was run a program that shows it has a sd845. Not sure how accurate that program was, forgot the name.

You have the HK/Latin america snap version, your bootloader can be unlocked!
There isnt as much development for this version typically as on the exynos but at least your not stuck with a crappy device thats locked down tighter than a drum.
Yo, I have a note 9 from rent a center as well and was hoping to get a little help here.
I have the N9600 ending in JHDF
I do believe that its unlocked but rent a center did a few modifications that I can't gain access to developer options. I did find a way in by stopping the set up process and get into developer options but I couldnt turn on usb debugging which is where I am.
How can I get into that to root? Can I flash the original N9600 to see if I can remove rent a center setup? Or can I straight up flash twrp and root from there? I probably have to flash some other file but I'm unsure. Any kind of help or direction would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

It's probably restricted in some way due to the terms of agreement they offer when you buy the phone from them. If it's paid off they should be able to remove it for you.

My guess is they probably buy those because they are more easily able to install their tracking and lock-down software on it. They probably have the bootloader unlocked, a custom rom with their software installed, and then re-lock it all.
There was a fella on the note 8 forums a while back with similar questions with a renta center device.

Yup. They use the 9600. And if you pay it off in 6 months, then the phone costs $1,871. But if you use the full 78 weeks to pay it off, then it costs $3,119. That's insane.
My concern would be the original owner would stop making their weekly RAC payments, and you get locked out of your Note 9. I believe that's what happened to the guy in the Note 8 forums.
I would assume that the prices from RAC are different depending on the region because in California right now the 6 month buy out cost us 1400 and at the long term is about 1900 which us still extremely high but some people have very bad credit or no credit at all and have to resort to something like this. The only other reason I did get us is because it has an unlocked bootloader and will be able to root it and start moding it to my preference etc. But I will have to wait till I pay it off now. I was hoping someone had already found a way around RAC type of lockdown.
Oh my god... How do they convince people to pay over three times the price for this phone?

I mean... Priorities? There are any number of other smartphone alternatives besides a three thousand dollar phone that's actually worth less than 1k. If you're that desperate to obtain the latest Note device maybe shift that determination onto sorting out one's personal finances? That's just my thoughts.

I can go on about credit, interest rates and over pricing for a smartphone, you dont know what I need this smartphone and its definitely not not all for pleasure. For you to go out of your way and quote me on something like this and judge me on my finances is just plan ignorant but if you amuses you, go right ahead quote me, I wont play your game and simply ignore it from here on out. Need to unlock your SIM T-Mobile users? Here's how!

FINAL EDIT: As many have noticed this thread is/has been very dead. First off, I tried to have someone on the mods to get this account of mine shutdown. That did not work as you can tell, but when that did not work I decided to just ignore this whole thing all together Second, this operation was not a man job as I was simply a middle man for a woman who wanted to help people but needed a hand. I was simply taking the info and spreading it to her. As popularity grew in the thread more and more requests came in and queue times were going to take longer and longer to fulfil. At some point I decided to give her access to my account because I was getting busy at my job and had no way to constantly upload new information to her so we could continue. This would give her a way to look into my messages and gather some info when she had her own time. I have no knowledge of what happened since, except for a few replies I would see that she made with my account. I would imagine over time she finally stopped or got caught since this thread and my messages are finally dying off. I do apologize if you were not helped but thankfully someone at some point during this period offered help in their own way too. So, THANK YOU GUYS for all the patience you gave, and I hope you guys enjoy the root or unlocked bootloader that you got because of this post.

She isnt doing anything against policy, T-Mobile reps have a lot of leeway with regards to the unlock policy, I have gotten 'manager overrides' to unlock for basically every single tmo device I've ever had since the note5. All I've ever had to do was call customer care. Although this time I pm the aforementioned user because I didn't want to wait on hold until I get a rep that would finally understand how to get it done.

Or simply waiting for the patched MDM tool and convert to international so you can unlock bootloader without needing:
1. TMobile
2. Unlock key
I understand the views behind the idea of donations. It was never mandatory. If you don't wish to, you don't have to. Simple as that. Either way it's someone going out of their way in our community, to help us out. They at least deserve a thanks of any kind.

Dre is 100% right. My wife is a supervisor in a TMobile call center and the user doing this would 100% lose her job if caught. There is a big difference between getting an override from a supervisor and going into someone's account the way she is. Due to Port out fraud T-Mobile has placed many safeguards on accounts. One of those being pin number/password for the account. Going into someone's account without having it verified through T-Mobile's policy is 100% enough to get her fired no questions asked.
Don't get me wrong I think it's awesome that she's unlocking phones for people but the way she is doing it she would 100% lose her job if her name got out.
So for those who thought the Pm's did not go through... They did lol. I just woke up and updated the info for the person to unlock everyone's devices. Please note it may take some time, who knows how busy a work day could be for them. If it is any help, when I originally requested mine, I did so at 10pm (around then) and it was done the following day around 4pm. So thank you for all of your patience! I will be personally PMing all of you when each one is done.

224444 is being used to send text message notifications by Google to their list of different users who have opted-in to their SMS notification program. Many websites, mobile apps, and other businesses use their short codes to notify their users of current deals being offered, promotions, coupons, when tables are ready at their restaurants, password changes, and other time sensitive information related to their individual accounts. This is to keep their users informed with up to date information, give their subscribers coupons and deals, and also to verify that the user attempting to make changes to their account is the verified account owner.
Maybe at some point, you registered your phone number to one of Google services (maps, youtube, etc) and they want to keep you informed.
On the other hand, if you didn't do any of this, it may be possible that you accepted some bad cookies or notifications from surfing the internet. In that case, you can uninstall and reinstall your browser. Hope that this could give you an answer to your question ?. If not, you may have to do some researches of your own Google account security settings.

it's normal. Just makes sure you give the permission to send messages and you agree there might be fees related to it.

As @ZayaanAhyaan stated in his post, i don't think you got hacked, it's just an option to get info and earn some fees on your account.
