Hi all!
I have a problem and i hope you guys can help solving this. I finally decided to install a custom Rom into my Mi A2.
After some trial and error i managed to do it and i have a working phone with this ROM installed:
[ROM][11.0][OFFICIAL] DotOS v5.0 [AOSP][2021-02-15]
My problem is that i can´t access recovery because when i attempt that, the phone just hangs in the beginning (logo/splash screen) of the recovery. I have waited hours and it won´t enter recovery menu.
If i need to reboot my phone for some reason i get stuck into the same issue.
My temporary solution so far is to use fastboot and load a recovery.img and from there boot into system. This way i have a functional phone.
I have tried to install other recovery versions, but all lead to the same result so far. I have no idea what is going on and have searched a solution for this but no avail.
Does someone knows how to solve this?
Thank in advance!
SOLVED!
By chance flashed one TWRP version that worked.

Hey guys, I'm in need of some help....
I was flashing an update to my ROM on my unlocked HTC One using CWM touch recovery. The aroma update process appeared to complete correctly and i rebooted the phone however, it failed to get past the bootloader screen trying to boot the rom. When it bootlooped back into recovery I discovered I have a pretty major problem, the bootloader attempted to boot into recovery, flashed up the CWM recovery screen, but then that bootlooped too. I can reboot into HBOOT/fastboot but nothing else. I have tried fastboot flash recovery to TWRP and CWM but they are still flashing up and then rebooting. Any ideas on what I can do to dry and rectify this? I don't really fancy a £600 paperweight a couple of weeks after getting it...
Cheers
Hi guys i have a big problem with my phone htc one m7
i was flashing my phone with a 4.4 viperone rom, and performed a nandorid back up prior to the flash.
Installation failed and i was forced to reboot the phone, now when it loads it brings up TWRP for a few seconds and loops.
is there anything I can do to resolve this ? i cant get into recovery itself to flash a custom Rom but can access HBOOT 1.44.
i have S-On.
any help would be greatly appreciated, have i bricked this phone if i cant get into the recovery or it doesn't load ?
thanks so much

First if you want help, change your thread title to something more specific like: ''Help - bootlooping after custom rom flash''
Did you wiped cache? What version of twrp are you using?

Thanks very much for getting back to me, after 12 long hours of research and getting my head around it, i finally found a solution!
In a nut shell this is what i did to resolve the issue:
installed ADB and Fastboot drivers
flashed a recovery img using fastboot
in recovery TWRP, used ADB to push a custom rom to my sd card
flashed with custom recovery and installed OS
What wasnt made clear was the fact that you need to be in a custom recovery (TWRP or CWM) in order for the ADB drivers to work. I was stuck for a number of hours troubleshooting why fastboot would detect my device (fastboot devices) and ADB wouldnt! It was only when i had my phone connected to my windows machine and phone was in TWRP, i could talk to my device and run adb shell, and adb push.
thank god that little cookie is over, heart attack and a loss of my Sunday, but all good now
Hi,
On my Mi5 I wanted to put TWRP as recovery in order to flash a custom ROM. Device was unlocked using the chinese dev. rom( checked settings - root access)
I go into bootloader flash the latest twrp 3.0.2-1-gemini and boot into it. Nothing more happens then the splash screen.
Any suggestions what I maybe did wrong? Tried more than one step-by-step guide but can't make it.
Thx
I have the same issue. I thought I solved it by using the previous version (3.0.2.0), which worked the first time, but not the following ones
yes i also experience this problem. It got stuck on TWRP logo. And when i try to reboot and enter recovery mode, the stock recovery replaces TWRP. Hope someone can help us? I'm using twrp-3.0.2-1-gemini.
This is a well known problem. Flash 3.0.2-0 and it will go away.
Sent from my MI 5
yoocharns tip worked - installed that version from twrp gemini section and got into TWRP.
TY
Hi,
Problem:
I don't know the cause. I was casually reading an article in Firefox then the phone suddenly freezes for a few seconds. After that, the phone is now on bootloop.
Phone's status before the problem:
rom - stock (from V12.0.1.0.QFKEUXM to V12.0.2.0.QFKEUXM via MIUI updates)
bootloader - locked
twrp - not installed
root - none
The things I tried to fix the problem were:
- Factory reset
- Flash a recovery rom (V12.0.2.0.QFKEUXM) via Mi Phone Assistant v4.2
Flash was a success, with no problems during the flash phase. But the bootloop was still there.
- Flash a fastboot rom (V12.0.2.0.QFKEUXM) via MiFlash (Xiaomi_Flash_20170425.zip)
Flash was a success, with no problems during the flash phase. Still, the bootloop was evident.
- Flash a PixelExperience rom via TWRP (twrp-3.4.0-0-raphael-mauronofrio)
Flash was a success, with no problems during the flash phase. I saw the Google Logo after the "adb reboot" command but the bootloop was still apparent.
- I tried "XiaoMiTool V2 project" as well that installed V12.0.3.0.QFKEUXM with no problems during the flash phase. But the bootloop was still there.
- Manually flashing a persist.img via TWRP or Fastboot. Bootloop was still there.
The things I have not tried were:
- Wiping all the partitions (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=83713173&postcount=8). The instructions were a bit vague I'm afraid to try it without the full context of the fastboot commands.
I'm at a loss. Based on my research, the recovery rom should have fixed the problem, but it didn't, so I don't know what the cause of the bootloop problem is.
I hope the community could help me.
=== UPDATE ===
I managed to fix the issue by using this method -> https://forum.xda-developers.com/k20-pro/development/rom-lineageos-17-0-t3976469
I strictly followed the steps under the instruction part and, viola! The phone manages to reach the setup screen of Lineage OS.
I hope this helps!
Thanks,
Temberness
Hello.
I'm looking for a proper tutorial for my MI9TPro coz I didn't find one that works for my phone.
Each time I try to root my MI9T pro it finish stuck on fasboot mode.
I open the boootloder (2mn with MIunlock) then I can send twrp (twrp-3.4.0-10-raphael-mauronofrioI ) as well and magisk 20.4 too. But even I format data each time I install the rom it is impossible to return to recovery and the phone is stuck on fasbooot, nothing works so I have to use miflash and return to start. Root works with a rom but when I want to go to the recovery it is stuck on fasboot. I tried many files, vbmeta, etc, but nothing works.
If someone can help me solve this problem I could finally use my phone. Thank you for your help
