Hello,
Today I noticed my phone had died earlier than usual, so I went to plug it in and charge it.
The green bolt and circle appear to let me know a charge is commencing. That was followed by the unexpected disappearance of that screen and the Huawei logo and "Powered by Android" text appearing. Not a usual procedure. Usually, the phone would show a percentage and a circle forming around it as the charge grows.
The moment I unplug the phone, it instantaneously dies. There is no perceptible delay. Thus, I can only attempt to enter recovery mode or fastboot mode when connected to a power source. It does not seem to make a difference if the power source is a regular PC 5V USB port, a charging port or the original AC adapter and cable. The only perceptible difference is that whenever it shows the Huawei logo, it reboots quicker if connected to PC.
If left alone for an hour+ the phone does not go out of this boot loop state. I have tried holding the power button, holding the power button and volume up procedure and holding the power button and volume down procedure.
The only reaction I get is when plugged to PC and trying to enter fastboot. It briefly flashes a screen that one cannot read for the milliseconds it is shown:

The black you see above is an artifact from a video recording I did, from which I took out this frame. To the human eye, the entire screen seems to light up and go out immediately after.
Here is a video of how the phone acts if I hold down only the volume down button while connected to the PC via USB. The second item in the post is the screenshot of what is visible for a few milliseconds:

After that Get four Small Safety Pins, Cut them at the loop, with clipers or w.e i used nail clipers.
insert them on the 4 power cable holes, red-red | black, black
Get a USB DataCable or Charger Cable cut the End Split it Find Positive cable Usually color RED and Negative Cable usually BLACK
mine was white... Now Attach the Cable To the Pins { RED WITH RED} {BlACK WITH BLACK}
CONNECT USB TO WALL CHARGER AND LET IT CHARGE FOR 2 HOURS. Well Thats What i did.
Revert the Procress turn it back on, boot to ClockWorkMod. Wipe All Install Fresh Android Rom. & Wala That should Work
If This Helped Press Thanks or W.e. Pce
My Touchpad stopped working about 6 weeks ago and I'd like your input on:
what the problem might be
how to erase my data should I choose to sell it for parts
One evening I was web browsing and I noticed the back of the TP got very hot (I had over 50% battery remaining). So I turned it off and went to bed. Next day it refused to turn on. My TP has CM10 installed but I was using WebOS when I experienced the heat and turned it off. I did the following to try to get it working again:
drain the battery by letting it sit for 2 weeks, then again for 3 weeks
tried every button combination to restart the touchpad (holding down and repeatedly pressing)
charged it using the USB charger (it works since it charged my phone)
charged it using the touchstone
plugged it into my computer using various USB cables, but no response from TP or computer
The only sign of life I get is the rear of the TP gets hot when I charge it (USB and touchstone), but it won't turn on not matter what I do.

Do you think it's a bad battery? I don't want to spend $20 for a replacement battery if its a different issue.
I've been thinking of selling it for parts since I plan on getting the next Nexus 7 tablet (rumors say July - October release). How can I erase my data before I sell it? Can I remove the flash memory? I opened it but haven't unplugged anything yet. I followed the instructions at: http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Installing+HP+TouchPad+Battery/6082/1
Have you tried holding down the power button and the home button together for 10 seconds or more?

It sounds like a hardware problem to me. Maybe someone else can chime in to help.
Good luck.
Hello,
I have purchased a Raspberry Pi 2 along with a Sandisk, class 10, 16 gb microSD card.
Installation of OSMC went smoothly with no errors. Later on I proceeded to connecting the RPi2 to HDMI, ethernet, keyboard AND ONLY THEN to the power supply.
The result was 2 leds (PWR&ACT) were constantly on (no flickering) and not boot was happening.
I unplugged from power, made sure everything was connected ok, then reconnected to power, the RPi2 booted properly.
Thinking I probably poorly conncted the RPi2 at first, I just proceeded and used it for a couple of hours, then turned it off (via shutdown in kodi) and went to bed.
This morning, I plugged it back in to power, and guess what? same thing again, both leds constantly on and no boot. Again, unplugged from power, plugged back in - and vualla, boots up normally again.
To make sure, I shut it down a few times and booted up again, and worked ok.
The only common denominator I can think of is both times this happened the RPi2 was turned off for a long period of time.
What am I missing here? SD card is recommended and working fine (if not, how does it boot), everything is connected properly. What could cause this issue?
Again, after the "first bad boot" it starts up find after I re-plug it to power.
This happend twice so far, and I couldn't find any answers regarding this issue (couldn't find posts describing ACT as constantly on).

Ah, this happened to me
Probably this OSMC is not very stable, and you might need to downgrade to a more stable version. Anyway, to be sure check to make sure by running rAspbian or something instead, and see if you get the issue.
Cheers
Disconnect HDMI cable when pi starts to boot. Then connect again when lights start to flicker.
Could be the power supply isn't quite up to snuff... Disconnect keyboard and try.

Okay, well if you can figure out how to bypass the port and charge the battery directly then try that. If it boots up, how is it not charging? second and last question, do you own a factory cable?
please quote me so I get the notification of your reply.

Hey, the only way I think I can charge the battery is by removing it from the device and chopping up an old USB cable and putting the two wires directly into the battery. If watched numerous videos on YouTube. And I have a factory cable I made for a different Kindle. The Kindle won't do n e thing. If I plug the normal charger in the underside of the Kindle gets warm but that's about it. No flashing lights, no charge icon on screen. Thank you for you're reply.
I have a mi a2 and it has some problem with charging. Whenever i connect it to a charger, it charges for a second, then stops and then starts again. Because of this, i cannot charge my phone when its on. To charge it, i have to turn it OFF and then it charges VERY slowly and gets to about 80% overnight after 8-9 hrs.
I have tried charging it with different cables so its def. a phone issue.
I know its not a software issue because my phone just got the android 10 update and its still not charging.
After reading some forums, i figured out i should replace the USB port as its the most fragile part. So i bought a usb flex port from ebay and replaced the original port, but then the phone stopped charging completely.
It still kept doing the stupid charging-not charging cycle, but when powered off, it couldnt charge.
Im not sure now if I should buy battery from ebay or not because i think i got ripped with the usb port.
BTW i live in Denmark and i have imported an Indian model and there are absolutely no shops here that repair Xiaomi phones.
What should i do? Suggestions?
Edit: im not sure if this is related or not, but i started getting the problem after i tried charging the phone with a pixel fast charger
This is definitely the hardware problem.
Either your cable , voltage or power related circuits.
However, I don't think it's battery problem.
Consider your situation, I think find a electrician, or electrical engineer (who can deal with electrical board) is highly recommend.

In my MI A2 device, I've been using custom rom and whenever i plugged in my device there is no charging when phone is on so I've to switch off the phone to charge it and when i connect it to laptop it is not showing as well. I've done everything in my knowledge to remove this problem and atlast I've to roll back to stock firmware of device running on Android 10 but that problem is not gone completely. In status bar there is a permanent pop up of ''Charging connected device via USB" and when i plugged my device I've to switch it to 'This Device' from 'Controlled Device' in USB Preferences. It is not charging normally when i plugged in.
please share any answer regarding that I've done everything but can't fix it.
