Hello guys. I have a problem. Yesterday I just dropped my mi3 and the screen broken. The touchscreen is not working, nor the capacitive buttons, just on the top, i can pull down notification bar. When i connect the phone to the PC it shows as an empty drive. My question is, should i change the screen or the phone is just dead?
Same thing happened for me but there is no problem in data and I changed my screen in Exclusive service centre .

Hi,
out of noting the screen of my HTC one mini 2 stopped working. It stays black.
The Phone is still on but unable to see anything on it, and looks like touch is not working.
Is there a way to get the data from the Phone?
USB debugging is not on. Can send it back to HTC, but that will result in a factory reset.
Would like to retrieve the data from the Phone if possible.
Thanks.
Rgrds,
Jeroen
If there is NO password on device then you can use HTC Sync Manager to backup all data on the device, Good Luck...otherwise bad luck..
it's locked by a swipe pattern

Ok thanks will order replacement one.
it's really a strange thing. I couldn't find anyone else with the same problem anywhere (in mi form and on XDA) . so basically the problem is that the clock on the always on stops(freezes) and doesn't change the time unless I hover something in front of the proximity sensor or when the phone is plugged in and charging. I had this problem since I updated my phone for the first time from 9.5.14 global version. I would appreciate any help
Thanks in advance

My son has smashed his p20 pro, the screen is totally dead. I'm kind of new to this stuff, how can we get his photos videos etc off the phone? As far as I know it has stock software on it.
Thanks
Use Vysor, google it, it allows you pc/mouse access to whatever you CANT see on your broken screen.

Thanks for that, I've downloaded and run it, looks like he hasnt enabled usb debugging on his phone, so I'm still stuck
Have you tried a fone to hdmi lead in order to possibly see phone screen on a tv/monitor?

I'm trying to get hold of one now, I've been reading other threads and it seems like a good option!
With that lead you only need to enable usb debug, then Vysor all the way

It couldn`t get bricked from simple app opening. If it suddenly turned off then it could be battery issue, if u hear some sounds and vibrations then its display problem. Try to plug usb cable to pc and check if there is any reaction
