Hi Friends,
I am trying to make a matrix(database in grid format) of custom ROMs, where anybody flashing to a particular ROM can know before hand what all functionality of our note will not work with it. Requesting you all to please post in your custom ROM/kernel and things not working.
Custom ROMs are good, and I don't intend to insult developers.
To start, I am on pure CM10, 12 Oct nighty and enjoying Great stability, customization, and good battery life at the cost of 1. No wifi direct, 2. No MHL support. 3. Indirect radio playing (spirit).
Hello !
I'm new concerning Custom Rom so i want just asking some questions about Custom Rom/Stock Rom because for a while I want change my stock rom into a Custom ROM ( with unlock/lock bootloader doesn't matter ).
Are you satisfied about your actually Custom Rom ?
And what is the advantages/disadvantages about Custom Rom ?
Thanks !

In simple terms stock based roms will use the Sony skin and many of Sony's apps - typically the developer will have tweaked the build to improve performance or used the most recent version of Sony apps from higher end devices (the Z1 for example). They may also add some extra features - (using the volume buttons to skip music tracks/advanced reboot menu).
Custom Roms won't have any of the Sony features and generally will be closer to unskinned AOSP (Android Open Source Project) in appearance. They will mostly have some unquie features and be more options for customisation than a stock based ROM. Developers can also release higher versions of Android than Sony, allowing the user to experience Kit Kat long before Sony release a build. They tend to perform better than stock builds because they are less bloated. Sony has significant facebook integration within it's builds for example, similarly whilst it's possible to ignore it, there is a lot of secondary marketing within a Sony build trying to get you to use their music/video/games services. Most of these apps are heavy, slowing down the device. The SP copes fine, but their are definitely smoother custom roms out there.
Ok thanks !

Dirty Unicorns according to me. Actually all ROMs are more or less the same. Some might be CM based while some might be AOSP based thats the only difference.
AOSP by Ivan. Its the best in terms of stability, battery life, smoothness. It is nearly stock android plus some tiny additional features.
If you want feature full rom then try CM, and others.
If you want stability and battery life, miui official global stable image or xiaomi.eu's one.
If you try something different (not miui) you can find a lot of roms. the problem is: more features ==> more potential problems.
aosp by ivan is cool and clean. dirty unicorns is probably the best with a lot of features right now.
i will recommend this. clean and stable.

Latest Official Ressurection Remix MM. Amazing performance, Doze is working flawlessly, no bugs, super stable. Gaming is smooth even when underclocking to 1.9Ghz and undervolting. And if you care for benchmarks... above 58k on Antutu.
Hello
I am interested in moving onto one of the none EMUI custom roms.
Which of the roms has best battery? I have read that RR has poor battery. Do the other AOSP roms also have this problem?
I would recquire the ROM to be stable in terms of daily use.
Thanks.
Hello guys,I've been looking for some custom roms in the kitkat version (they say it's the lightest for games) and I can't find.
Could someone tell me which one is geared solely to performance?
