Hello everyone.
I selected a wrong firmware (H8116 for XZ2P) and installed with newflasher. Its my silly mistake. Similar to this thread.
The current situation is unable to boot, no Sony logo and no any error message even appears.
When enter the flash mode (Is it called that? or the Green LED mode maybe?) the green LED will change to red after a few seconds and newflasher cannot detect the device.
And it can enter the fastboot mode normally (Blue LED mode maybe?) and able to detect by Androxyde flashtool.
It is possible to flash the correct firmware in fastboot mode? Or is there any way to fix it?

Now my phone keeping said "process system is not responding ...", and keep rebooting.
I want use flashtool to flash new firmware. But it didn't recognize the phone, even when I hold VOL-down and plug USB.
Can somebody help me !!!!

I can put it into fastboot mode.
but I don't know how to use fastboot mode.

Sorta had the same thing happen to me. I just started the flash tool up and chose the Rom I wanted, then when it was waiting for me to plug in the phone I just held down volume. Button while it was rebooting and it took.
Had to try a few times but it worked.
I used to face the same problem. I solved it by entering fastboot mode and flash from there.

Thank you for your information.
but I don't know how to flash ROM from fastboot mode (sorry for my noob)...
My phone is locked BL.
And when I tried to flash kernel.sin, it said error "command is not allowed..." (or something like that)
PS: I'm sorry for inconvenience it may cause.
It's seem I'm in very different time zone. So I can not read you guys reply quickly
Which kernel you tryed? You have to try a stock kernel. I will be in 2 hours home, maybe I can give a look to the flashtool again..
Where you live
I tried with kernel from D1.343 (original firmware of SO02E) and 10.3.1.A.0.244
both were failed.

Hello,
I have a Sony Xperia Z and I tried to flash cyanogenmod 11 on it. I checked before if the bootloader is unlocked but the option in service menu said "No" which means that the bootloader can not be unlocked.
I still moved forward with flashing the CM11 on it and at the last step of flashing CM11 it gave me an error and failed to flash CM11 on it. In the recovery mode, I clicked on "reboot now" option and since then the phone is not booting and is going in to a loop of showing Sony icon and a red led light.
I tried brining the phone in fastboot mode by holding power button and volume down and attaching the USB and it does show me a green led for a moment but the screen is complete black and nothing shows up.
adb devices command does not show anything (I am using Mac OSX 10.9.5)
I installed flashtool. It does detect the device but says that the "Device is locked" and does not show any option to flash the stock ROM.
Sony's PC Companion does not even detect the device.
Please help me in finding a way to being it back to its original form.
Regards,
Ashish
You absolutely need an unlocked bootloader to flash Cyanogenmod to your device. You have soft bricked your phone by flashing a custom kernel to it when the bootloader is locked.
You should be able to fix this by flashing a stock rom with Flashtool (the unofficial Flashtool, not Sony's Emma). Either download an FTF from the general section or package and flash one by following this guide - How to package and flash stock roms in FTF format. Obviously, do not install the Windows driver as in part 1 of the guide if you're using a Mac.

Hello guys,
Today I am encountering a very weird issue. I was on CM12 nightly on my xperia z1 and I decided to check the official Sony firmware since I was curious. I downloaded the official update from Sony PC companion and flashed the files with flashboot. After the "android is upgrading" window with all the apps being updated the device suddenly reboots. I thought okay it might be normal but it is now stuck on that procedure. It attempts to boot goes through the logos and in the animation but restarts again.
I tried booting into recovery to wipe data cache etc. but turns out the device is unable to boot into recovery and instead it attempts to boot normally.
Afterwards I attempted going into fastboot and flashmode and the device just shows the charging screen. Not even the notification light reacts accordingly to the mode I am trying to boot into.
I also tried adb but it didn't find the device.
All help is highly appreciated.
Many thanks in advance to anyone who has any idea on how to resolve this issue.

What's wrong with people these days? Did you even read what the OP posted? If you did (even if you just read the title) you were able to see that he is NOT able to boot into flash mode rendering flashtool useless in this case!

we cant do anything if both of flash mode and fastboot mode not work.
Hi,
my hardware volume keys do not work anymore and I would like to upgrade the firmware so I can upgrade to LineageOS 17.1 (from an old los 15) but to do so with Newflasher I've got to get into flash mode. Is there a way to do so without the volume down key pressed? i.e. with adb or fastboot?
Thanks
I believe it is:
adb reboot bootloader
I haven't tested it though. Maybe that gets you into fastboot mode.

Nope. Doesn't seem so. Tried it and newflasher doesn't work on bootloader mode. Also the led light is blue at this mode and as far as I understand it should be green in flash mode. Any other ideas?
Thanks
You are correct, fastboot (blue light) and sony flash mode (green light) are different. Fastboot needs to be accessed with the things using the fastboot protocol and newflasher needs the sony flash mode.
I don't have an answer to how to get into flash mode, but I wonder if the Sony PC Companion's repair could get you back to stock and then you can use fastboot to flash recovery, etc. I haven't used it in a long time so, it may require you to hold vol-dn also.
Once upon a time, I think, flashtool could work through fastboot mode though. Since your bootloader is unlocked that's an avenue to try. If that can't do firmware, another option might be to have someone on the correct version copy their firmware, bootloader, whatever partitions for you to copy over. But that would only work if there's no other changes outside those partitions.
1) I was using Sony Liv app screen dimmed about 2_3 times then screen goes on black and then phone vibrated. then i tried to power on device but it left on black screen ( 1/100 condition it goes to fastboot mode when i keep trying to push phone in fastboot mode but it goes rarely ).
For the problem i searched on Youtube on followed Edl method to fix my device
I downloaded all necessary files and driver:
- Mi flash tool (2019)
- Jasmine Global Rom ( Fastboot File , . Branch Stable - from official website )
- Qualcom Divers
i was doing this all in WINDOW 7
2) I connected the phone as shown and o flashed the rom (jasmine global fastboot file ) i got the success message while flashing
but then i tried to boot but it is on same condition that black screen .
3) So is there any point where i messed it up , is it possible to fix this device. Please let me know any possible solutions.
4) I never installed or tried to install custom roms, camera 2 api module or tried to unlock bootloader or anything it was running on stock.
please reply asap

not sure , but before bricking screen was completely functional and after bricking some times it goes to android one logo and also fastboot mode ( i explained this just to tell the condition of screen, )but after flashing screen is blank with backlight .
yes in mi flash tool in status it showed success ( and also i selected clean all before flashing )
first i downloaded the mi flash tool 2019 then downloaded fastboot file from official website of xaiomi and qualcom drivers then flashed and it successfully flashed.

This suggests something could have happened to the display, bricks usually result in edl mode but fastboot should not show if it was hard brick no?
Soft brick is just non booting.
It is coming in success either means something wrong with the screen or maybe the drivers....
Can you enter fastboot and/or recovery mode to check that display is working?
Have you looked for MiFlash in a specially patched version?

I think it may be something to do with the display.
Cause MiFlash isn't failing

is it worth to change motherboard of mobile incase the mobile is hardbricked.
i am unable to understand the last line properly.
