I have noticed that running Android Auto in Phone Mode (as my car doesn't support Android Auto on it's head unit) on the Note 8 results in a UI issue with the spacing between the status bar and the application being non-existent so they overlap each-other as shown in the attached screenshots. This is looks rubbish when trying to use google maps using the Android Auto Phone Mode.
Does anybody have any fixes for this?
Hi Guys,
I have the strange behaviour that my calendar widgets (doesn't matter which one, i prefer Business calendar 2 pro) freeze after a time. Don't know when it happens...sometime after an hour, sometimes after 15 minutes.
The widgets don't update then. But when toggling to lower resolution and back to fhd, they work again. Even if I use nova launcher and rotate display and rotate back, they work again.
Seems that it has to do with display...anybody an idea or similar problems and/or workarounds?
thx
Same with Mate 9 (Oreo)
Hi!
Same problem with my Mate 9 updated to Oreo. For example, with my phone, some widgets like BBC and SeriesGuide don't work. Other widgets seem to work (Spotify, Feedly, etc.)
I've tried your workaround (switching resolution) and indeed it temporarily fixes the problem. I suppose and hope we'll have a real fix with next updates by Huawei.
Regards.
For me too widgets not updating after a time. Switching resolution solves the problem temporarily.
To solve it:
- Go to battery option in the app and turn off 'manage automatically'
- Manage manually: all options turned on.

Not working at least not with nova launcher
Hello,
only recently I purchased the Huawei P20 Pro (with Android 8) and was very pleased with the timeout option for the lock screen, with allowed me to disable the auto lock for a reasonable amount of minutes after turning off the screen.
However, after the update to Android 9 Pie I cannot find the option anymore. Was it removed or where can I find it? Are there maybe apps that would bring back this option?
Thanks!

The feature seems to be missing on all EMUI 9 phones, i can't find it on the P10 or View 20 either. Strange, it is such a major bug but not reported anywhere!

Every time I use split screen all the apps in the background disapear, they become invisible. They are running but doesn't appear on multitasking. And only happens when I try to split the screen. Anyone had this problem? Any solution. Thanks
I have it too. But only on Nova launcher. On stock everything is fine.
I'm hoping for Android 10 to fix it.
I am on Android 10 + nova and the problem is still here
Pity.
Is it also present on other launchers? Can someone confirm?
I don't have this issue anymore. Tested with Nova and Lawnchair.
Btw, fresh install of EMUI 10.

Fresh installed Android 10 (dload method) - with mandatory factory reset

I know what you're talking about. Looks like it's not beta related. I used to have this issue, last beta I flashed over latest stable, and all good now. I think this could be the reason.
Does anyone know if we will be seeing a stable 10.3.4 soon?

I still haven't changed my T-Mobile OnePlus 7 Pro to global yet as I don't have a computer. Do I need to change it to global before I'm able to test the betas?

Sudden Shutdown.
I have been on Open Beta since Android 10 came and updated regularly. Updated to OB16 on the first day (10-July-2020) and today morning I had used the phone for some time and put aside in my car connected to Bluetooth (no streaming, only for handsfree) like I do normally. After about 20 minutes when I arrived I find that my phone does not wake up. No response at all from any button. Even connecting to the charger did nothing. Then held down all three buttons for few seconds (maybe 10) and it entered into bootloader. From there I rebooted into recovery, cleared cache and rebooted. Phone started fine with battery at 97%. I have had the phone since August 2019 and this is the first time it happened. Just reporting it in case anyone faces the same issue in OB16 to see if it is related.
