So after advice, have a p40 pro downgraded to EMUI 10.1.0.134 Reg C432
I have google working fine on it now so all good there but now cannot do ota updates, just says Im up to date. and don't know the best path to take, or if I need to redo a different method, if anyone could offer advice would really be appreciated.

Region ? In my opinion no. I have the same region and i'm downgrade to 10.1.0.131, install google and have upgrade in HiSuite.
Maybe You have proxy on, in HiSuite ?
not that I know of, could you chare the link where you downloaded the firmware and ill flash it again. did you download hisuite straight from Huawei website, sorry to ask but must be I doing something wrong and followed the guides on ictfix and not getting anywhere

Hello every one.
i was trying to update my Huawei P9 with an official update 7.0 with a local update method.
after my phone rebooted its enter the "Huawei eRecovery" mode that gives 3 options Download latest version and recovery, Reboot or Shutdown.
i give it a shot with the first option but its keep telling me "getting packages info failed"
please if any one can help me i'll be so greatfull. the only info i can get now for my phone is:

Also do you remember which build number the phone was on before you tried the update to nougat? The build number is something like EVA-L09CxxxBxxx (E.g mine is EVA-L093C432B386)

Was wondering if anyone here has a good working link to a eva-L29C636b320 firmware. I think it must have been pulled from Huawei servers but I would like to try flashing that particular version on my P9. I have searched everywhere but found nothing. Anyone with a copy that they could share through Dropbox, Box, Mega etc?

It did exist at one time, but has been taken down. I can find links to it when I do a search, but they are all dead links. I believe (maybe mistakenly) that the reason I cannot get Nougat to work on my device is because I have not had B320 in a progressive installation. I was hoping someone may have a repository of OS firmware files but it seems unlikely, I guess.

I already tried the guide in below link:

but I got stuck on the step of running the adb/fastboot didn't understand that, I am not even sure if this guide will help with the problem.
I have downloaded the update file for my P10 already and the Huawei Update extractor if that helps but a bit stuck.

You ended up eRecovery for some reason. Did you try connecting to your phone from a PC with HiSuite?

Yes I did, it just says nothing is connected!?
Since HiSuite fails to connect and eRecovery refuses to download the latest rom I think there are only two options left:
- send your device to Huawei for repair.
- seek help from paid services like FunkyHuawei or DC phoenix.
Or did you unlock your bootloader before it bricked?

Yes, easy; place the update file to the root of your 256 Go; clic on it with file manager; that's all; your phone will reboot and be update

So I bought the Rog 2 from wonda mobile and at the time it was sold as Chinese version flashed with global rom WITH OTA updates.
I just checked the item page at Wonda and now they have amended the description/Q+A to now say that NO OTA and that updates have to be done on computer.
I assume that the bootloader was unlocked on this mobile before they flashed to global WW ROM, I have attached screenshot from devicehw - PLEASE CONFIRM IF MY BOOTLOADER IS UNLOCKED.

If my bootloader is already unlocked, and I already have global WW ROM installed 1908. 12_0, what is the process for me to install the latest WW update?
And finally, if I install the latest updates can I keep all my data and settings? Or do I have to backup/restore every single time?

You need to change your fingerprint to be WW following the guide in the Guides channel. No OTA updates for you. To update, you have to place the update file in the root directory of the phone and the system will pick it up and flash without you losing your data. This is covered in the guides section.
