Looking for someone to explaining how to use github and integrate the latest changes to code to a already current existing cm rom. Not completely sure how to do it since I am not doing it from the ground up
Hey guys, I recently made a guide here on how to build CyanogenMod for the OnePlus 3. With the rebrand to LineageOS I decided it was time to update the guide and make some small changes and improvements. I hope this helps out anybody who's interested So here's my guide on building LineageOS 14.1 .
This can also apply to any other device as long as the correct bits are changed (i.e. for OnePlus 2, the breakfast and brunch commands would have 'oneplus2' instead of 'oneplus3' and changes like that, and also a different roomservice.xml file).
Here it is: https://goo.gl/uU0fCy
Also, you can see the youtube tutorial video that accompanies the guide here:

Hi to everyone
I have been trying to make a Nougat OS out from the OSS sources but I have lots of issues
The main issue is that when it tries to repo init the source from the OnePlus, it says 404 not found. It works though with the Google sources just fine
Any help or ready build will be appriciated
PS The main reason that I want the OSS build is to prove that it is more optimized than the actual OOS
Hello. I am trying to compile the lineageos 14.1 kernel with support for nethunter features such as packet injection and external wireless support for the Oneplus 3t. To do this, of course I need to enable features in the kernel through menuconfig. I am building on builduntu (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2585828) and the rom builds succesfully when I run the build process without touching the configuration in any way - just cloning the repository and then running brunch oneplus3 to build the whole rom. As soon as I try to copy the kernel defconfig and run make menuconfig without changing any options, the build fails forever. I followed the online guides precisely and verified on the lineage irc that the defconfig that I was copying was correct. But I didn't find anything online specifically about configuring a Oneplus 3t kernel and then compiling it. Was anyone on XDA able to build a configured lineageos kernel for the Oneplus 3t? If so, can you please share how you did it? I would be very grateful.
Can anyone help? I just need to know how to save and edit a proper defconfig. I was never able to even copy the defconfig in a way that wouldn't break everything. If you configured the LineageOS kernel for any reason, your shell history of commands for configuring it will be really helpful.
(I'm new to all this ROM development stuff, apologies if there's anything wrong with what I'm doing)
These are my personal LineageOS builds. They aren't much different from regular LOS, other than some added patches.

Nice. The addition of sigspoofing and substratum service would make plain LOS usable for me. Straight LOS and themes were always iffy.

As nobody really posted here, I just wanted to say that this is working really well.
I had huge gps problems with the last 15.1 unofficial, but it works perfectly in this one and it has some very nice additions as well and is 100% stable for me even with xposed and magisk.
@admicos Thank you very much and I really hope that, if you have the time, you continue making these.
New build being uploaded right now, no changes other than a LOS repo sync.
The last couple test builds I made were somewhat iffy, but this one seems pretty well. (The recolored boot animation didn't make it in for some reason, but the rest are fine)
Everytime when i reboot the system to os or recovery, the recovery looks replaced and i cant mount data.
Not sure what caused it,i just flashed this on my non treble axon 7

I'm not sure why that's happening either. Can you replicate this on official LOS? If you can, I'd suggest you try asking on their thread, they might know more.
Good ROM for a while, why not update it? Is there a new kernel upgrade for the top post?

What version of Xposed are you using? I've always wanted to try this ROM, but thought there wasn't an official Xposed yet. The others I knew at the time were reportedly shady.
Sorry for the long wait (kinda forgot about this existing :/), and sorry for the bad news;
As I am planning to switch to another phone, I cannot continue making this anymore.
I might continue this as a GSI or something, but I really don't know if that will happen, as Android source is a big mess that I don't think I, and my (reasonably fast) CPU are prepared to handle. (Any pointers to dealing with this are greatly appreciated)
It was a fun two years lurking around.
(ps: The source link is completely borked (and all my sources are gone). I probably should stop trying to be fancy and use a public Git server like a normal person the next time)
If your build env is on Docker, I can easily stage a build server for you. It won't be fast, but you can leave it running all night long if you need, and free up your computer.
Also, if you're not using Docker, I can help you set it up, so anyone else can easily build by themselves if they choose to do so.
Can I upgrade the kernel?
