FAQ
Root?
CM ships with root, enable developer options and look in Settings -> Developer options -> root access
Doze?
Doze needs a "significant motion" sensor (which uses the accelerometer) to function. The S3 doesn't have this at the moment, and its accelerometer is probably not low-power enough to implement it. At the moment, doze doesn't work, but I might investigate it at some point(tm)
Stock browser crashes when downloading?
You need to grant it permission to access storage in Settings -> Apps -> Browser -> Permissions
Google camera crashes?
Use Google Camera from the play store, not from gapps
Bootloop?
Try wiping data, cache, dalvik, system and re-installing. Some people have reported that dirty flashing over CM 12.1 works.
noones said nothing im going to give it a go. currently on 12.1 and will be doing a full wipe... fingers crossed:silly:
EDIT: Smooth 258MB via mega ( gapps took twice as long to download arm 6.0 mini 3 December 2015

Thanks for the release any way.:good:
Hi, you SD internal was format Because you have flash your stock with odin
Thank u for bringing this up. I'll be waiting for a stable version though, but still very happy to see the news.
Hi,
I did factory reset installed the rom and gapps pico.
I got into endless loop of Galaxy i9300 logo.
Any clue what I did wrong?
I am opening this thread to get as much help as possible, after posting on various porting groups on facebook and on various forums I hope the thread appears on Google.
This is an EMUI 3.1 rom based on lollipop 5.1, I have been trying to cross port it since it was released.
It can be ported for chipset: mt6580, mt6592. Mt6582 ( 32 bit mtk devices with the same GPU).
Device Huawei Y5II 3G
Android version: 5.1 lollipop
kernel version: 3.10.72
chipset mt6582
Download link:
https://mega.nz/#!OxgyADYa!huTy9bppk4EvCcJNFoqr63CCpaxXXdc7x2roXnBZgME
The problem is that the rom almost booted but it keeps bootlooping, it never pass the boot animation, I think audio prevents it from booting.
Here is the logcat:
Code:
AudioPolicyService not published, waiting...
AudioFilger not published, waiting...
Waiting for service media.audio_policy...
Waiting for service media.audio_flinger...
Also those errors apperas in logcat:
HWDrmDialogsService errorListener = [email protected]
Error processing intial volume state: volume == null
-----------------------------------
Full logcat:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3926437&d=1478296595
I ported EMUI 3.0 from Y3II chipset mt6582, and it booted, but is is buggy due to low DPI and has a major issue which is I can't receive sms.
Update:
Progress in cross porting Huawei Y5 II rom:
I have successfully booted rom from Y5 II on my hot 2.
Fixed bootloop due to audio...
But there is a serious problem, and I can't find the reason for it; systemUI and on screen buttons never appear and after first boot if you rebooted the rom it will show black screen.
It was hard to test stuff on this rom, but I used my OTG keyboard to navigate and tested camera, audio, video, ril by calling my phone from another phone and they were working.
Logcat shows nothing related to the issue.
What is different in this rom from my previous cross-ported rom from Y6 pro
http://forum.xda-developers.com/hot-2/development/rom-emui-3-1-lite-t3517681/page1
is that it is full EMUI 3.1 and not a lite version.
Screen shots for the progress:
Everything is working, like ril, audio, video, camera, GPS, Bluetooth, wifi... Etc
However...
There is a serious bug, it seems to be related to GPU (Graphics) where SystemUI and navigation bar do not appear, there are graphic glitches in Huawei home launcher causing it to force close and after reboot a black screen might appear so you can see nothing on the rom except power menu and when someone calls.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find a fix
The rom is very nice and has an awesome sound and pretty good features.
Fixed all major issues by myself, it is really when you want to get things done you should depend on yourself
For reference, if any rom porter is stuck on a similar problem and found this
1- bootloop due to audio flinger and other media doesn't work - fix in drm
2- SystemUI and navigation bar - fix in xml folder (etc/xml)
3- Black screen issue caused by themes - reapply default theme with magazine before you reboot and after first boot.
uploading rom soon
Regards
Great work bro, I wish I was still using the device.

I came from Norma Fan Edition Nougat.
I did:
- Flashed BL and CP using Odin
- Reboot in recovery and Wiped System, Data, Davik Cache, Cache
- Still in recovery, flash ROM
- Clean Install (i did not try dirty flash)
- Reboot
It is working very well.
Thanks again to all dev and people working on that ROM :highfive:
plssss sm-g9300
Little feedback compared to Norma fan edition Nougat:
Good:
- UI and security updated which is a good thing
- OREO and new touchwiz functions
- Battery management still very good
Less good:
- the overall experience is slower than before
- getting out of deep sleep is laggy

This issue is common, especially when when dirty flash or use titanium backup to restore apps. Nothing related to the rom itself.
You need applications to auto run. Go to:
- Smart Manager (samsung app)
- on the bottom, swipe left
- click on Auto run App
- select the apps you think can't have background notification
Guys could anyone please help on how to properly install Magisk Root for this ROM?
I tried default Magisk guide which involves root uninstall through SuperSU application with restoring default bootloader and not restoring recovery.
After this I install Magisk Manager, it updates itself than asks to download a zip file and flash it via recovery which i did. After reboot I successfully got root it works, but when my phone reboots it says
red font caps "kernel is not seandroid enforcing" in top left corner and i have noticed that my device performance overall dropped noticeably even when sliding through desktop and all application list in touchwiz
UPD reflashed this ROM in dirty Mode, performance is back to normal. kernel error is gone. SuperSU is back. Tried unuinstalling it without restoring bootloader. Now Magisk won't flash, says my boot loader is modified. previous version of this ROM had Magisk i think. So anyway to properly install Magisk here?
Can you make one for scv33 same processor?
Please we Japanese user wants rom too its is unlocked bootloader.

If I do a fresh installation, is this the correct order to install this ROM?
- install ROM
- clear cache/dalvik
- install fix
- install opengapps
- install magisk
I've been testing it since yesterday.
The performance is average and the battery drain is massive I installed the Kernel Adiutor, and I saw that the CPU is running 1.2-1.4 GHz all the time (performance governor), even when idle (I don't mean "deep sleep"). So I changed cpu governor to conservative + some battery optimizations + cpu min. freq 200MHz and max. freq 800MHz... but I don't know if it's worth it, I mean, the cost of performance.
But it doesn't matter.
At the beginning it seemed to be great, the ROM was stable for the first few hours, on every other Pie ROM I tested, I had a lot of problems right away, from the first minutes. I thought I finally found a reasonably stable Pie ROM, but... but the phone reboots every few hours, sometimes every few minutes. Everything else works fine, no freezes, no errors, the apps work OK, everything is fine.
I couldn't install "go mode" from the TWRP ("error 4"), so I installed as a Magisk module. It's been enabled (it works), but nothing has changed, the phone still reboots itself
Once again, I am convinced that (for me) the Pie's too much for that phone.

Lightheart 1.0 - The key to speed.
Hi everyone. My name is Skulldron and for those of you who do recognise me, know me as the creator of Project Pixel, another one of the greatest ways to emulate the Pixel Experience, whilst keeping all the benefits of using OneUI and its stock optimized drivers as its base. Today I'm going to introduce something, different. Over the years of working on Touchwiz based ROMs, I've learnt the description of every little apk, every little permission, what it accepts and what it rejects, its pros and its cons. As a result of this experience, I have one of the best debloat lists out there, with each item on the debloat list, being tested, through extensive testing, and it goes over every file and every partition known in the OneUI OS. This exact same debloat script was used in Project Pixel, which has received positive review after positive review for how efficient and how lightweight OneUI became after the debloat. Today however, I present to you Lightheart OS, a new project that I will be building myself and updating monthly. Today I showcase Lionheart, the Lineage OS to my Cyanogenmod.
Key Features:
1. Heavily Debloated System: The debloat script that was made by me, has over 250+ debloated permissions, apks and other files.
2. Better Battery Performance due to Efficiency - With the removal of an incredible amount of bloat, along with better performance and lesser services, you should be looking at better SOTs and better standby times.
3. Kernel Power Control: With MTweaks and Magisk, you will be able to control your device’s clock speed and be able to force higher GPU and CPU Clock, when doing more intensive tasks such as gaming.
4. Better Kernel Performance - Due to the deepness of the debloat, the kernel now has more RAM and more space to be more efficient and allow it to focus on less threads at once.
5. Current October Patch with the promise of updates every month - Every month an update is released, the ROM will be updated along with it, with a time frame of 1-2 weeks.

6. Restored some stock Google Permissions - Some stock google framework was restored, such as the default setup wizard.
7. All Essential Samsung Features have been kept - All essential OneUI features have been kept alive, for the sole purpose of necessity.

Really respect what do you do. keep moving bro.
Can you add samsung account to restore data from last rom.
The op promised monthly updates. It's been two months, and he/she still hasn't replied to the request made 6 days after this was posted. This thread should be considered abandoned and locked. I've about given up hope for this phone, been waiting for a long time for some real activity in the custom roms - it's apparent that's not going to happen.
Cyanogen sucks for this phone anyway (no offense intended to the devs that spend the time trying to give us something better, just stating a fact), it takes all the features away that make this phone stand out. What you end up with is a Motorola that says samsung on the front.

Edit::: it IS cyanogen!! I'm going to take it for a spin anyway, maybe this dev got it right.
Props for giving us another option. I wasn't a fan of project pixel, but that's only because I don't like pixel. You did good work there. I'll post for others what I find.
stabil and good working... THXX
Hi, are you thinking new upgrade?
Sory for my english is bad
Call recorder work but volte and edge panel isn't work
great ROM
This ROM is now sadly discontinued, due to a lack of time and due to the fact that I no longer have time, nor own the device thus making my job that little bit harder. Thankyou everyone for using it though, and hope you find a better one. Link to the ROM will be left up however, for whoever needs it.
